Childish was the word that popped into my mind when I was watching as well. My God, this is so juvenile. They've been in this same situation so many f.cking times, you'd think she'd at least wait for a kiss or something. But no--she has to get the wrong idea, again, and then runs off.

Which goes to show that it's really not bad at all.

I would kick him out of bed--so I can have sex with him on the floor.

Bell won't have any story to tell, then. The whole thing is based on the fact that they keep running away at the first sign of a problem, they never confront the issues, they always misunderstand things and they always walk in at the worst moment. Which is why it's so insufferable. You can have her misunderstand something once... but it happens over and over and over and over and over and over again.

As mentioned in another thread, this show has really blown it by wasting the potential of the Dayzee character. Even worse was how they treated Beverlee (the foster child who appeared for a few weeks and was never heard from again).

B&B really can't handle writing for more than a few characters at a time. Things have even gotten worse since Flannery left.

Hope/Liam/Steffy is interesting t o me. Not. On screen, but behind the scenes because they were one a great triangle and absolutely carried the show successfully for the vets to a new set. The story was also played out well, and slow but it didn't feel that way. Then BB lost its way with them and since it's become all about partner swapping and getting to the next wedding. I do think it can be fixed, what they need to do as add more to the characters. Focus on their family and work lives while playing the romance as well.

Bill and Katie have kept me watching. Don and heather are fantastic.

TK is weird as ridge. It's gonna take some getting used to but I do like him.

"Oh shut up Donna" LMAO! Is this a thing with Quinn? That's the second time Ive heard her walk by Donna and issue that to her. If so, its hilarious. I also like how she handled Liam, saying she felt threatened by his tone of voice and wouldn't discuss things with him till he calmed down.

    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
    • Lucy Coe wasn't even this big of a whore.
    • Kate being the one that Alex called was a nice surprise. The cut to her looking all sheek made me instantly get excited for her to get back into business mode. And the Jack reference from when she first came to town (on-screen) was inserted naturally which is always welcome. When they were talking about how much sex sells, I almost got the impression they were sizing each other up in a May/December type of way.  All the Philip stuff was gruesome. I'm happy the show isn't shying away from Xander's ugliness. I love them both, and it just makes me intrigued for the aftermath for it all to be taken seriously. I cheered when Philip spat out at that Sarah knew the truth. I'm on tenterhooks for their eventual confrontation. I was surprised that Kate wasn't a little vicious towards Sarah for Xander's obvious behavior, but maybe that's still to come. How wonderfully entangled is it that both Philip and Shawn/Steve stopped each other from getting the drug. Both equally at fault. Who/what will ultimately save Bo? And with everything going on, is a Salem where it's looking likely that EJ is about to own the hospital imminent?
