I'm not really a fan of AnaL, but Laura Spencer/Genie is such a collosal disappointment that I thought I'd have fun with AnaL! I like my siggy.. It's cute, don't you think?

On a serious note, I am really digging Anna as the commish and wish she had been included in yesterday's eppy!

^^^Is that what TG wishes?

I remember when Luke and Anna first did it. That had to be one the most embarrassing debasing scenes in GH's history. Luke's filthy ass gets out of bed and looks for any excuse to get out of that room as Anna is just sitting there like a hooker who disappointed her john. I was horrified. However, not even that will make me warm to LL. I'd rather not one more minute be wasted trying to recapture the very deceased LL! Time to move forward.

I haven't watched an entire episode of General Hospital in years. But yesterday I sat down and watched it to see Bobbie Spencer.

And I wasn't disappointed, it's like she never left and Jackie Zeman looks so much better. As I always say nothing heals bad work like time.

Seeing GH in the shape it's in now just reminds me how awful the show was under JFP and Guza, there was so much potential to have an intergenerational show that had something for everyone. What wasted years.

I haven't spoken much on the vet situation on the show so here goes.

Being someone who started watching GH during the mob era, it's been refreshing to see all these former characters I only read about previously. Ontop of that a lot of these actors seem to really enjoy being back around their old pals from back in the day and it shows onscreen. For those reasons alone I'm enjoying the vet overload.

Has Frisco always been an egotistical prick?

You're basically toeing the line. "Since it's not the Mob, I'm enjoying the vets."

Never mind the fact that their stories are lacking substance that is WORTHY of their veteran status. Which leads to your point. "Has Frisco always been an egotistical prick?"

Yeah, Luke is completely unappealing. He was ok with Tracy but I much prefer them as friends. The writing right now isn't bad but it's clear Geary doesn't give a crap half the time. He lit up seeing Jackie though which was nice. I don't think Genie and Tony probably want to go through all of this but he sounded somewhat excited by the rescue of Lulu/Helena encounter/Helicopter thing. So ... IDK.

Wasn't Genie promised something more to do, instead she's in the same triangle. With Laura wringing her hands in despair. Sigh.

It IS nice to see everybody back but it's all flash and little substance. It's a fun ride and I won't complain about seeing any of them again.

No what I was pretty much saying was that I'm enjoying the interactions between the veteran actors. i didn't mention their stories or lack thereof at all outside of the Frisco question. I mentioned the mob because that was actually the GH I got into and continued to watch.

I forgot to mention -

I went to a taping of GMA on Thursday and got to be in the studio. After they were done filming, and we had left, I noticed that they put down posters in the windows where you normally can look in during filming. That made sense, as they wouldn't want you to be looking into an empty studio. They had posters for all their shows, including a giant GH 50 poster. I thought that was really cool. I meant to snag a picture but everytime I thought of it I was rushing somewhere else!

    • Love this! You are both adorable. Wow
    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.
