AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

I was probably the only one who liked Ryanica. But why is Ryanica more repulsive than

Colby & David

?

For starters, Ryan fathered her grandchild, was the lover of both her biological daughter (Kendall) and daughter by marriage (Greenlee) and Erica had a relationship with the man they thought was Ryan's father (Chris Stamp). I can't think of a more tangled duo daytime! It made no sense for her to suddenly develop romantic feelings for him.

David would be using Colby to get back at her family, so it's not like he's suddenly in love. If they did develop feelings later, it would be a good story, imo.

So that was for starters, what's the main course?

I thought I would be okay with Ryan and Erica, but for whatever reason I would almost literally have to swallow the bile back into my throat anytime I saw them in bed or making out. Ohh ... I just got the bad sensation in my stomach again just thinking about seeing them in bed.

Sad.

Clearly not a B&B viewer

it's vomit worthy. And I sent a complaint letter to PP already. David is not appealing to a lot of the AMC fans. He has fans, it's sick how they can't make stories for him in his own age range. Ryan and Erica were just as nasty to watch but this [!@#$%^&*] is vomit worthy, Hayward is like a grandfather figure on this show, Colby is not even a full adult. It's my opinion that it sucks and Hayward propping begins again, like w/ Amanda, like w/ Greenbitch and like w/ Cara.

Wow, I actually like that spoiler, although it's probably not what it sounds like. The character involved is also not at all propped.

After watching the 6/12/2013 episode (which was actually intended to air originally on 6/17/2013 if the show hadn't edited together the 6/10 and 6/12 episodes into one choppy episode).. I e-mailed the head of PP Jeff Kwatinetz regarding this and made a comment that I hoped this edit job occurred before the union disagreement came into play (since that would cut down on the stockpiled episodes already shot).. his response to my e-mail goes as follows:

( Editing had NOTHING to do with the union dispute. We just try to edit the best eps we can; we dont always get it right but we are doing our best to tell story and have great character. I appreciate the email and you taking the time and I promise you we are striving to do our best!)

It appears DC really is done with playing Adam. Perhaps, they should replace the end scene in the opening with Adam's daughter Colby and Pete?

I'm hoping that if/when PP gets its BTS stuff together, they will shoot a new opening. This one was fine for an introduction to AMC 2.0 but I think it has a limited shelf life.

I hope so too. It should be easy enough if they just want to update it. Do you want a total redo? That could be cool.
