I'd go back further to at least the shaky camera and wacky antics with the Mob Princess storyline. Lots of cartoon fuckery there.

UO: I find reading the B&B thread more interesting to read than it is to watch the show, so I don't.

I also find this uncampy version of Days ten times more watchable than it used to be. I'd even say Days currently is the best of the on-air soaps.
