My friend used to do that and she got some nice pictures, I would never do that though. And seeing some smug untalented young star exit the door to screaming 45 year-old women fans would just do bad things for me. The ideal fan/celeb interactions for me have been theatre galas where stars happened to be in attendance. It's chill and easy to engage in real non-gushy convo (just don't let the liquid courage make you embarrass yourself  ).

No, and that's stupid of them. I actually was very superficial about Carney - I saw him in The Tempest, and I also thought his look fit the character. But looking back, he wasn't great, nor was the film.

Same here.

I hear Toups coming down the hall, but real quick...

-I think it's obnoxious when fans give a celeb multiple tings to sign, stage door or outside of a hollywood restaurant like they do on TMZ

-One should not wear pajama pants and flip-flops to a broadway show (can't we dress up for ANYthing?), and one definitely should not slip off those flip-flops and put their feet up on the chair in front of them even if it's unoccupied

-One should not sing along to a musical under any circumstances

-Don't take advantage of a celebrity's kindness by sucking up their time with the details of your life; they don't know you like you know them so the interest factor by nature is not there... know when to shut up and let them go; remember that they sit on the pot every day like you do, don't lose yourself and feel embarrassed about it later (or worse, not even know that you SHOULD feel embarrassed  )

Completely forgot about Taymor's film of that--it came and left here so quickly. I usually find her stuff at least worth a look so will have to rent, though it doesn't seem that anyone really liked it...

I just remember the extreme Paul Cramer mess which to me felt like in some way it was a go from as soon as we learned he was Kelly brother that he was No Good and not welcome to be a Cramer. (Granted it didn't help that the first actor was awful, the AMC babyswitch crossover was involved, they didn't even seem to know who the character of Paul was at first, but still... I have the feeling if Dorian even learned she had a secret son or something she wouldn't give him a second look--unless he tried to make out with her).

I kept watching, sporadically, after JFP pushed Robin out, but I thought the show was awful with or without Dorian. I've quit watching for a while even with Robin on the show so I can't say I would stop if she goes, but it's just another piece of OLTL's heart being removed. This also makes it more likely that Frons can move towards his other likely goal if OLTL stays on the air, which is getting rid of Erika Slezak.

Poor Frons must be upset that they already worked on Vicki's 40th anniversary episode, apparently, so he can't use it as an event to kill her off :P I admit I always kinda forget that RS left the show (or was pushed out) in 2000 as I wasn't an avid viewer during that time too--due to the show itself and also moving out on my own first to Europe and then Montreal with no TV (and years before youtube...)

I felt like Dorian started going down with some of the Canton stuff and of course running pregnant Jessica over. Her tone was changing and honestly I think "robbing" the character of the "Did she or didn't she?" of Victor's murder took a lot from the character. There went a lot of her dark sexy mystery, and they went into more of hermystery with Canton but I wasn't able to catch Canton as much as I would have liked and what I did seemed dare I say a little fanfictiony.

I viewed the show in spite of myself in 2000, despite being furious about Robin Strasser's ousting. JFP knew how to play viewers - she kept Bo and Nora frontburner and kept that will-they-reunite tease going forever, plus there was the Cherryvale story with Nora's presumed death. That was major catnip for me, as was, later on, the Todd and Blair stuff at the time; at that point I had given up all hope of them reuniting, so I was floored when they went there when Howarth returned. But the overall show was dreck. I did stop viewing regularly until JFP left.

Minority pov I don't find AT's Jack that godawful bad. In fact, I found the bullying story somewhat promising until clueless Gigi and worst parents in daytime, T&B, were pulled into it. Man, that was some horrible acting by TSJ, KDP and FF. I wish all 3 took a page from HBS who really works hard in her scenes with the teen actors. The adult actors wanted to be anywhere but that scene, shame on them!

Cheers for Natalie for throwing Zane in Kelly's face! Cheers to Natalie for starting to tell off John! Next up please tell him don't you pull this superior attitude with me after the lies YOU told ME about Cristian.

IA with poster who finds Tomas way too low key. Ted's lack of energy is very unlike him Please tell me he'll wake up soon cuz KDP and FL are trying way too hard to infuse energy into their scenes with him. They light up like XMAS lights and he's on a dim switch.

I love Clint. Clint rocks. I hate Aubrey. But damn you, JVD for working that sexy well played line... drats, these two have chem and I don't even want to see it.

You're right - she did know how to get attention (which is why demos were pretty good until her last year). I think I had tuned out in protest of the weeklong, "You don't like the Rappadavisons? Then watch this poor dancing girl DIE AND DIE AND DIE AND DIE," torture porn.

I'm sorry, but AFAIC, compared to Michael Easton and TSJ, TK's energy is up there with early Jack Fenelli on Ryan's Hope. He's playing scenes like a normal person.

I really liked Susan Misner as Grace, a character they never really wrote for at all with no actual personality. She was part of a tradition with JFP of vague, somewhat anonymous siblings to build a family around her favorite male leads. She was blamed for Tim Gibbs failing, as was Laura Koffman, as was Gina, I'm sure. But she had nice chemistry with Bob Woods, who I'd rather have seen her with if it came to that.

Megan McTavish, who became JFP's cohort around this time, learned a lot from her - she made her own Anony-Grace Davidsons at AMC, with the various interchangeable Lavery and Cooney siblings and cousins like Di, then Erin. Courtney and Kristina the First at GH were also in this tradition, although both those women had much more personality. I actually loved Jaime Ray Newman and thought she was terribly wasted.
