RH cleaning house I see. Claudia is no loss to ATL tho I didn't mind her. She just didn't feel 'right' in the core group.

As for Brandi, perhaps it's for the best. She was making the show toxic and letting the show become toxic to her. Maybe as a friend of she can return to the Brandi we knew in Season 2. There but not eating the show alive.

I'm sure BH will find some drama to occupy their time. They'd do well to bring back Camille and TayShanna as HWs and Adrienne as another friend of.

Is Yolanda really gone?? I kind of hope not...

I'm sure they can find a way, but on paper it sounds weird to bring her back as a friend of the cast when she's literally enemies with every single one of them. It'd sooner make sense to bring Faye Resnick back in that capacity (who knows, maybe they'll convince her to return now that they've lost their two toxic villains). Would they stage a bunch of one-on-one lunch meetings, the way they did Adrienne & Brandi this past season, and then send her packing?

I didn't see a problem with Claudia fitting in with the ATL gang. The season overall had bad editing and uneven footage with their Claudia/Demetria/Porsha indecisiveness. I could see Claudia doing at least one more season. I guess big ol' NeNe got her way.

Looks like it's the other way around. And Eileen questioned why the heck she was being brought up in the first place.

Good God, after 934 pages and counting, this thread better not get shut down; you know what happens when a certain name is mentioned.

    • It does, and I don't get it. This feels like Josh Griffith's middle finger to fans. They're end game, right? That's how most people feel. So what reason could there be to keep them apart? Are we supposed to wait until Y&R is canceled and then see them reunite in the last month? Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case have FIRE chemistry with each other -- and they strain to have any chemistry at all with anyone else. Isn't that obvious by now? I can't explain it, but we've all seen it. A decent writer could give us Shick AND good stories with them.
    • Ben Collins, CEO of the company that owns The Onion, says they don't use A.I.
    • As long as Kent and Griffith are in charge, the show is doomed.
    • To clarify, they didn't really date.  They pretended to be on a date once or twice due to a an interest in fooling someone else at the event/restaurant/whatever.  It wasn't planned by them to be real.   I think one of them became sort of interested at some point ?
    • A shame the Ben/Thomasina tease didn't go anywhere.  I didn't know until last year that they brought Thomasina back a few days before Quinn was murdered. I guess it's nice that they got those last moments of happiness but then you remember they never would have brought her back if they weren't going to kill Quinn off.
    • Very. It's VERY annoying, too.
    • I just remember Kristina coming on to her slightly and val freaking out
    • Not trying to be a contrarian, but I don't think the show needs a rival family.  Rival families have been over-done on soaps since the 1980s. And it might make the show too predictable.  I'd prefer they beef-up the have-not group with perhaps a couple of workers from the Country Club and one or two Dupree servants, joining the existing group of have-nots.  They could all know one another without being a real "family."  That would give the audience more opportunity to see Fairmont Crest life from the "backstairs."  To me this would be a far more interesting perspective than another wealthy family to rival the Duprees.
    • I wonder if that's why Valerie quit. I think some of the magazines at the time implied issues with Valerie and the producer, although I may be wrong. Painting Diana as going bad would have made more sense to me near the end of her run.
    • Carter & Thomasina were also stuck with a baby almost immediately and didn't get much to do after they finished high school. Carter's father was killed off and Marley drifted out of their friend group because of Jake. They left town after Carter's father died (of tomb dust!) and before Quinn died (unreasonably murdered by the Sin Stalker for dating Zack Edwards).
