LOL yeah I was excited wondering how we were seeing footage from the reunion already til I noticed Yolanda's dress and hair! I was like wait a minute! :lol

Also meant to add I think they way they are positioned in the picture is how the reunion seating goes. So it will be Joyce-Yolanda-Skeletor-Lisa-ANDY-Kyle-Brandi-Kim

She wouldn't be where she was if it wasn't for two gay men: Andy Cohen and Ryan Murphy. Just a few weeks ago she was going on about The New Normal failed because America is still so homophobic and now look at her going on trying to devalue Brandon as a man because he defended Kenya. She only "loves the gays" when it's convenient for her. Andy will definitely be addressing this at the reunion.

Then this woman is trying to tell Kenya she wasn't grabbed. How would she like it if people told her she really didn't get her ass beat by her first baby daddy? Then she is upset because nobody called to apologize. Chile this moose has really lost her mind.

And f-ck Cynthia's ass too. Messy ass bird.

They should've let Kandi drag Cynthia's sister with her moon pie looking ass.

Phakedra. ... you know what im going to keep my mouth closed because I'm going to say something vulgar.

Peter disgusts me.

Ewwwwww! Nene is DISGUSTING! Seriously. I just watched the previews for next week and her ego is so out of control and she is clearly her biggest fan. That trick seriously needs to chitty chitty check herself! I know I say this about her a lot but I just can't with Nene anymore. She is a monster. There is nothing worse than an egomaniac and that heffa looks like she ate 3!

Just like tonight. Nene bitching about nobody apologizing to her? For what? You asking pointed questions to stir the pot and start some drama then getting all butt hurt just cus it goes above and beyond what you anticipated? Telling Kenya that she wasn't grabbed when she clearly was? I'm done with this Bullwinkle stripper. And I don't care how much Nene claims to love the gays, I think this bitch is pretty homophobic. The way she talks about Brandon is gross. She clearly already pissed off a gay judging by that thing on her head and now she's taking it out on Brandon. angry.png

I think that to some people, gay men are purses, or accessories. And when you become famous enough, or not necessarily famous, but think you're liked enough by the gay people around you, then you can say what you want, because of course you don't mean it that way and of course they know that. You become, in your mind, protected, and above anything else.

It doesn't help that a lot of gay men are very homophobic and encourage this type of attitude.

This is one of the reasons I'm always wary of the whole pet gay that so many women on these shows tend to have. It's dehumanizing.

I don't think she is homophobic, but I think she needs to go back and watch some of what she has said and realize how it comes across.

I dont think she is homophobic either but definitely sees gays as beneath her. She was dead ass wrong to keep calling Brandon a queen and girlfriend and say he approached Christopher in his big, red ball gown. She needs to bring it on down. She really thinks her ish doesn't stink. Im astounded. I know she has come across as stuck up and above it all in the past but its reached new heights this year.

Watching now, so far I'm still on the part I already saw in the preview.

I just have to say, again, that I LOVED that Nene went to comfort/calm down Kandi and left Cynthia/Mal/Peter's hood asses to the side where they belonged. I thought that was very sweet, considering Nene and Kandi don't get along. I also liked that Nene was looking out for Todd and went to get Phaedra/Kandi to help him….

As for the rest of Nene's actions, I haven't seen them yet so I can't judge.

I adore Kandi, and it can't be said enough.

    • Perhaps. But would anyone have wanted The Doctors to turn into what General Hospital ultimately became?  Dear God in Heaven...
    • Thanks @EricMontreal22 that must be one of the last issues. Probably the best soap magazine.
    • I can definitely see that airing the same week as The Love Boat colliding with an iceberg and sinking while crossing the North Atlantic on the Titanic anniversary with a “Who lives and dies?!” Promo next to Mr Belvedere being blackmailed over his wanted fugitive status back in the UK

Agree with you both. I am also going assume that while Hotel may had some big numbers the first 2 seasons BUT the demographics weren’t great. Reason I say this is I distinctly remember my parents watching St Elsewhere and/or The Equalizer after Dynasty.    I still don’t get Hotel’s designation as a primetime soap opera either lol. ABC should have aired Paper Dolls in the 10/9 slot on Wednesdays in the fall of 1984 to give that show some more legs.    Obviously ABC was eyeing a double bill night in the same vein as Dallas & Falcon Crest and that might have worked better than leaving Paper Dolls to the wolves in an untested timeslot.
    • I tend to stay out of EP discussions, simply because I rarely know who EPs when. And they all have their good and bad sides. But how are we supposed to judge JFP on anything other than what we see? I didn't know she was a director or a music director. (and unlike say, Chris Goutman, I never saw her credited as anything other than an EP) Specifically in the matter of casting Crampton, she took credit for it (or at Crampton gave her credit for it, whatever) and it was arguably, one of the worst recasts of the '90's (and either as bad or worse than the actress she fired).  She lost two important actresses in '92 and still decided to kill Maureen.  She had a wildly uneven tenure at GL. It's no wonder she's polarizing. But it kind of proves a point--great soap is always a that rare combination of everything clicking at the same time.  And believe me, if I could bring myself to watch her male successors who were responsible for bringing back Reva and allowing her to eat the show again, or hiring Hunt Block, or being too chicken to stand up to stans who and hamstrung the show with boring couples stuck in the same repetitive stories (Vanessa/Matt, Chelle/Danny or Richard/Cassie, take your pick) not to mention San CristoHELL....I'd be more than happy to roast them on open spits. I guess we end up talking about JFP because she's in a period we can nominally agree was one of the last "best" periods of the show.
    • A degree does not make one an expert at their job, it just shows that you can follow directions from a technical standpoint.  It doesn't mean that they're creative. JFP was all about the look of a show without considering that technical beauty can only carry a show so far if there is nothing interesting to go along with it.  Equality means calling out flaws equally in both genders.
    • NBC or P&G was even fool enough to take a full page ad for two consecutive weeks in TV Guide promoting this horrible storyline.

    • JFP has had more defense for her decades of terrible producing than many male producers ever had.
    • It makes sense that she got a degree in directing. I've always said she should have been a director. I think she works better at the technical aspects of the show. I think her problem is the emotion/heart of a show.  She always guts the heart of the show she's on and she makes decisions that stop longtime viewers from watching a show. I don't think it's sexism to call that out especially as I've said similar things about Conboy. I've called out Rauch for much worse.
    • "Aunt Blanche" first appears toward the end of this episode, about 57 minutes in.
