That is hilarious..who in their right mind would be a baby into a room that they hear people shrieking and chairs falling over (though remember how conveniently Peter was forgotten by Van so they could get Bridget out of town." I do have to say it Roger's comments to Alex are pretty hilarious...."I wouldn't touch you if you were the last woman on earth  and any honest man in this would would have to agree with me" You can see JFP's coming through there, as Alex is tranformed from a powerful woman wronged to a shrieking jealous vindictive "old" bag.  Is there something missing in the scene as it  seems to to 0 to 60 in no time...with Alex screwing her face up and popping those eyes and EVERYONE screaming like its a hillbilly hoedown as Alan would say of the Lewises.  MG is the ONLY one to have a more realistic reaction of calming Billy down and then telling Roger to get out..though I can't tell if her smirk is Holly's usual defensive wryness or if MG thought it was all cheap and hilarious.

Still, I miss big events like that where everyone got together in each other's stories...(how often would you see Holly and Billy interacting in later years...forget about that dumb dating thing.)

"Toothless street whore" was hysterically overwrought. I don't know how they all got through the scenes with a straight face.

@Vee you are right, it is exactly like that DAYS scene. I hadn't thought about it until now. I have little emotional attachment to those characters on DAYS so I could just laugh. I think if I didn't care about what JFP did to the show I would not be as sour about this clip  - parts do crack me up.

Maeve Kinkead saves the baby stuff for me, but it is ridiculous otherwise. I'm  just glad this is not  a few years later, where Laibson/McTavish  would have had Roger throw baby Peter out the window,  von Stroheim style.

Okay, I know I am most likely the only GL viewer who found Det. Levy kind of sexy..in a real person kind of way. He just disappeared after they made Moron Frank a cop right?

It just seems like one crazy thing on top of another until they add a lady with a baby - "no, no!!" The only thing the scene was missing was a local animal act being inadvertently brought in next, like some bears or an elephant.

I think Levy still appeared into the late '90s.

I agree that he had some sex appeal, similar to Cutter. GL generally did a better job with their  cop characters in that respect than the other soaps.

One Harley and Mallet left his role was greatly reduced but he did still appear after they left so 1994 might be correct. They left September 1993.

I always liked Levy and Mallet as partners.

Ya I have it that Ward last appeared as Eugene Levy in 1998. My guess had he lasted longer he would have been killed off by Carmen Santos or something.

Oh now, I have to go back and watch that scene and imagine a clown coming in and spraying Alex with a seltzer bottle..."Grrr...Rog....UGGGH" dancing girls kicking across the floor along with dancing poodles and a girl with flaming batons.

The only thing truly missing was Deas...spitting, flapping those arms around, and chewing the table out from under fauxBilly.

Hmmm, sexy young Ross..oh how I would love to be on the other end of one of his stern lectures..though he needs to be wearing his glasses too!

I always thought Ross and Van would have been good end game for patriarch and matriarch of SF.  I never thought he and Blake would last (though the Bloss people would go nuts..) and she and Matt were ehhh, and there was no way I could see Van putting up with Billy's crap when she was older.

This was the Sheri Anderson mess years...I never got why Alex was running a gallery with Maureen and dating H.B.???? But it was all leading up to the Christine Valerre stuff which made no sense.

    • I don't think he ever gained much traction on GH. He should have stayed with The Doctors. Was Mark just a toned-down version of Nick? Were they basically the same character?
    • All I can think of is if a lot of big names were leaving around that time she wanted him back as a stopgap, although I have never seen any real evidence that he was popular with GH viewers.
    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
