I thought Alan could only do 6 guests at a time? I didn’t realize KZ and RN would be there at first glance until I swiped. I’m only familiar with Ashley and Kimberly as Marah and would love to see their (KZ and RN) initial reaction to seeing them as grown women but Alan clearly has everyone see each other “backstage” before going live, unfortunately.

Still I am looking forward to this one.

ETA his Instagram description doesn’t mention Marty West at all. Just the girls. I wonder which one is correct.

Maybe they will shuffle in and out of the stream. Lindsey McKeon was the worst Marah. I wish Alan would ask how Kim Zimmer felt when the show fired Laura Bell Bundy for Lindsey.  Bundy’s Marah had an essence similar to what Pelphrey’s Jonathan would be later. Totally missed opportunity for the show not to have had Bundy, Branson, and Pelphrey on screen together with Zimmer at the same time.

It's going to be a hot mess.

Bundy was great. I remember viewers hating McKeon's version of Mariah.

I had forgotten Branson played Shayne. He was forgettable in the role and totally miscast.

I watched a bunch of 1994 episodes.  What a difference two years make.

Too much Buzz, too much Lucy, Marj as Alexandra, VI is much harder to digest as Nick without Beverlee and Simms.  And even though I enjoy Alan-Michael there was too much of him too.  Also there are several scenes with awful background music.  For everything good (Jenna) there were like three annoying things.

1994 was a bizarre year with the worst of JFP's tendencies on showcase. The show also had like a million HW's after Curlee departed - at one point there were like 6 people being credited as a part of a HW-ing team. Way too many cooks in the kitchen for anything to work.

I don't know if it would be considered transphobic since nothing in the story was about trans folks and Brent never IDed as a woman (he was a tranvestite and only for his nefarious purposes) but it probably wouldn't be done today since it harkens to the fantasies surrounding TS and bathrooms and that awful canards that there are lines of male predators supposedly eager to pretend they are women to... pee in the same bathroom as women? I dunno.

I can only think of three stories in US daytime explicitly about a trans character - The City, Passions and B&B - but I might be missing one.

Especially when Marty West most likely will be trying to flirt with Branson! (one could only hope how hilarious would that be??)

I actually liked as we called her PornMarah in her last year or two, over Bundy. They were trying to make Bundy a chip off the old block and it didn't work. I thought McKeon was good as the antiReva..a girl brought up with her mom's insane drama but wanting to be different, and was at times hostile to Reva.  I thought Shane should have been the Reva Jr. wild, but of course, we had to have Pelphery's Jonathon to do that. By the way, has anyone seen his outstanding work on Ozark???

Thats too bad..I liked him as Shane, though he did seem a bit too old for the part..but he made a believable post service Shane and liked how his quiet masculinity stood in contrast to Jonathon's over wrought style (by the way, did you see his great work on...)

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
