May 18, 200916 yr Member New viewers would be amazed to learn how Jason once viewed Michael as his son and fought tirelessly for what seemed like an eternity to raise him. He barely even reacted to the big waking up. Not that I can blame him for not being thrilled about the little sociopath waking up, but still, Steve Burton didn't even try.
May 19, 200916 yr Member They are acting like it just happened a year ago -- while also acknowledging the fact that Kristina and Michael (among others) are all grown up and young adults. Lulu told Michael that he was almost unrecognizeably older just before he awoke from his coma on Friday. You don't go from 12 to 18 in a year! Also -- physically, Michael may be 18 or thereabouts, but mentally he will be 12. Talk about hormone surge. His body is going to be doing things he is not necessarily familiar with. And how will he react to 18-year old girls having missed out on 6 years of painful-but-necessary high school "socialization"? I'm no psychologist, but that sudden culture shock is bound to have an impact. I never like aging up, especially on characters that were introduced as a baby just do something else...
May 19, 200916 yr Member I like the actor playing Michael, but that's about all. I wasn't affected by anything I was watching, no matter how much "touching music" they play in the background.
May 19, 200916 yr Member I really like this new Michael. He's a natural, and very effective in the role. I also like that he's not the traditional soap definition of beauty/masculinity. He's a very real looking young man. Another great find for Mark Teschner. This is coming from someone who HATED that demon, Dylan Cash.
May 19, 200916 yr Member The guy who plays Ethan should be required to work on his diction. I found myself getting angry today listening to him as I was losing word after garbled word. I find that unforgivable really.
May 19, 200916 yr Member Yeah, I like nuMichael so far. I'll be able to judge him more once he leaves the hospital, but so far so good. I understand why he's furious with Carly for not being there when he woke up, for being she "gave up on him" and "replacing him with another child." While none of this is true, you can understand why he's so upset and so far this young actor is doing a good job. Claudia..seriously.. how pathetic.. Olivia and Johnny, not bad at all. Good chemistry. We'll see where this goes tomorrow. Question, why are Holly and Patrick so close? I know the connection with Robin, but how did they become friends? Edited May 19, 200916 yr by tina m
May 19, 200916 yr Member Patrick and Holly flirted for a few minutes in the Markam Island story so now they are tight friends for plot purposes. The guy who plays Ethan should be required to work on his diction. I found myself getting angry today listening to him as I was losing word after garbled word. I find that unforgivable really. LOL! I find him incomprehensible. It adds to my dislike of the character. Olivia needs to STFU. No one cares what she thinks. Edited May 19, 200916 yr by Ann_SS
May 21, 200916 yr Member First allow me to apologize if someone has brought this up before, but don't you find it strange that the young man who is cast to play Michael could actually pass for Jason Morgan's son? I know Carly slept with Tony/Jason/A.J. around the same time, but I don't remember if paternity was establish that A.J. was definitely his bio dad. Michael now has the same coloring, and eye color as Jason. TPTB could definitely revisit the baby daddy issue. JMO.
May 21, 200916 yr Member Carly did not sleep with Jason around the time of Michael's conception. The last time she'd slept with him was quite a few months before that. I'm so happy that Michael is waking up and already trashing his pregnant mother and glomming onto Sonny, and we get a revival of the Quartermaines want to take Michael, they're evil!! for good measure. They have already destroyed this family, can't they give them a break? The only high point is getting to see Johnny's beefy bod, with some chest fur as a bonus. Edited May 21, 200916 yr by CarlD2
May 21, 200916 yr Member I don't care for Carly but seriously she stepped out for like thirty minutes and Micheal woke up, it's not like she just left him over at Shadybrooke or something for five years. She went home for a minute and Micheal is being unreasonable. She also had to be pried and bullied to leave him in the first place. Sonny is ordering Micheal to not feel things.

Someone throw some holy water on me, I'm about to defend something written by Bob Guza! I do think Michael being upset is realistic. For everyone, it's been a year, for Michael, it's been 5 minutes, and he knows something serious has happened and it was touch-and-go and the first face he sees when he wakes up is godforsaken Lulu?! Neither of his parents were at his side. I think it's realistic that he felt forgotten. HOWEVER, what I don't get is why he's cool with Sonny, because Sonny was also not there when he woke up. Unless it's Carly's pregnancy that has Michael's hospital gown in a twist. But that's not fair because Sonny can't get pregnant. LOL, I just realized Michael SHOULD feel like both his parents were trying to replace him when he learns Claudia's pregnant too! Anyway... um... this show sucks. Nice seeing Emma Samms, though. Wish she didn't have these ridiculous scenes to play out where nothing happens. The only high point is getting to see Johnny's beefy bod, with some chest fur as a bonus. WORD UP. He's definitely an F-D-F, but I would spend the better part of a weekend all OVER him.
May 21, 200916 yr Member He's definitely an F-D-F, but I would spend the better part of a weekend all OVER him. Now Johnny's an FDF? I thought it was Luke's new son. Johnny? Who isn't an FDF for you on this show?
May 21, 200916 yr Member Greg Vaughan... Steve Burton can still get it. Jason Thompson, but I might break him. That's it.
