How did I miss the dish about Det. Gill? That man is fine. I would never pass him up for old Neil. I'm tempted to write Y&R so we get to see more of him, preferably with his shirt off.

I want to know the dirt on the Y&R actresses. If there are PMs on this topic, I want in. :)

Enjoyed Tues episode.

Lots of character crossover and no Baldwins!! Good to see Colleen and JT come into play.Too many characters have been pushed by the wayside.

Murphy is such a good character.Notice he is dressing better these days.I hope some attention is paid to him coming up in the world.I like the idea that he fits in comfortably and enjoys the trappings of Katherine's lifestyle.Better than the cliche of poor people not coping with or resenting wealth or him being'corrupted' by it.

Every time Restless Style comes into play I cringe.Every issue is the size of a telephone book and a fabulous success.Maybe the publishers of just about every other mag in the US need to contact Phyllis as RS is bucking the trend of falling sales/lack of advertising. At least we saw some staff buzzing around.

Nikki needs to fire her stylist. The print coat was bad enough, but at least it covered the grey sack she had on underneath.

I had it yesterday and I believe I've never written such a bad exam in my life. Three more coming up next week.

ITA on the Dru stuff. I would have loved every minute of Dru and Phyllis.

You so know Dru would be sticking up for her friend Sharon...

One Phyllis is found out for her deed... (which I think it is clear she will be) alot of people will be up in her face..... as the universe revolves around "Saintly" Sharon..... I really hope Sharon does not skate... she needs to hit rock bottom. It will be a cop out of Phyllis is absolutely taken down an unredeemable path just to spare Sharon. I want to see both sink very low, together :D

Hasn't Sharon hit rock bottom already? Stealing stuff she doesn't remember? Sleeping with Billy the night before his wedding? Emotional rollercoasters of her life with Jack and Nick. And Nick repeatedly going back to Phyllis time and time again, essentially rubbing it in her face.

How much lower can Sharon go?

Lovely interview, thanks.

I am so glad to see that Morrow is approaching acting this story exactly like he should be. He is not taking sides, nothing, and that helps bring this wonderful story to life. I want to see both Phyllis and Sharon go down--waaaaaay down--and I want Nick to not be with either one of them for now. Morrow's right, to just go back with Sharon and be happy, that would so completely suck. They need to stay apart.

I have always been confused by Nick... I wanted to hate him, but I never could. They guy is like Lonow from Knots Landing--maybe not that brilliant, but still so real, so authentic, that everyone thinks he's a trash actor.

We can't hate Nick because Josh Morrow plays him very sympathetically. Nick does not smirk or snark at these women like Victor does. Nick looks lost, perplexed and remorseful for the pain that he is causing so we buy that is a confused doofus who does not mean to hurt either woman.

We've seen her whore around town but never out of desperation; she's shooting up with heroin, if you will, rather than taking a couple advil. Before it was a minor unhappiness, a minor ache she'd be compelled to scratch from sleeping with her husbands for too long. Diego anyone?

But now, she's whoring around because she's depressed and utterly alone, and facing one life-altering crisis after another.

She's a whore, but justly so LOL.

Now that she's been arrested, I hope that's the lowest she goes. I don't think that I can take watching Sharon be any more beat up than she has been over the past few months. And I'm a Shick fan but I feel sympathetic to all three of them. Poor schmucks. How can I hate any of them?

On a side note, I loved how Michael refused to help Sharon with those words, "She stole books?" (totally paraphrasing). So much meaning in those words. I mean, you couldn't miss any of y&r over the past few weeks and understand the significance of those words. How genius was that?

    • Imagine the possibilities if Mary was the politically correct moral center of the Loves and clashed with Donna over her snobby socialite tendencies (once the re-recast was done).
    • Show starts soon. Wonder if we will get the Voice saying "The role of Ted Richardson is now being played by Keith Robinson" and if they'll update the intro
    • I initially thought BTG was going for the Duprees being (somewhat) like the Kennedy family- wealthy and politically influential. And Martin's accident being like how Chappaquiddick (Link) caused Ted Kennedy to cancel his plans to run for president in the 1970s.  (He ran in 1980 but didn't get the nomination). But now it seems to have more layers that that, so I have no idea.
    • The episodes uploaded today by the YT channel have been done through the end of November 1985 and what a mess we have in the Liza/Sunny/Hogan/Lloyd/Estelle story. I think it would have been easier to gradually bring Hogan/Sunny back together.. maybe even addressing the toxic situation and trying to work through it.   Unrelated to all that, I see that Gary Tomlin has attempted to reset the show to where it was when he left at the end of 1983.  He really seems obsessed with regressing Wendy as a character after the progress/evolution of her character post 1983.. with her sleeping with her mother's new boyfriend.   Based on what I've watched of the show online... the one consistency was the mother/daughter relationship between Stephanie/Wendy... and even though Stephanie was recast, I think violating that relationship was a mistake. I can see why Tomlin didn't last long in this stint as head writer.

    • I don't think that would be the reason tbh. Thinking about it, it's probably storyline related - I could see bio mom / dad eventually turning up (or maybe it's June as speculated) and wanting the children back. I could also see it being a part of the fall-out of Martin's secret being revealed now that he's backed down from a presidential campaign - his and Smitty's ability to be parents comes into question, which the bio parents use. They might've wanted the kids to be at a age where they could reliably speak for themselves what they prefer, but also have enough memories of their bio parent(s) not doing a good job. I'd also think that they might want to avoid having the image of this gay couple keeping a mother away from her small children, as it might skew the viewer to sympathise too much in one direction.
    • Something self-defense is my guess, and I have a feeling maybe he was protecting someone close to him and the optics looked bad so Vernon/Anita covered it up (my guess maybe he was protecting Vernon/Anita).
    • If Reginald had had more dimensions he probably wouldn't have been killed off and Carl might not have been brought back to fill the international supervillain role. I think though that the Loves were also severely damaged by the way Nicole and Peter were made iredeemable and written out. I definitely feel that loss more than the loss of Reginald, primarily since they were good characters to begin with and were only ruined during this period.
    • What if they were originally cast as Vanessa and Doug's twins and then were moved to Samantha/Tyrell when the show decided to delay introducing the twins? It's a shame they didn't stick with the original plan. BTW, does anybody have any new speculation on what Martin's secret will be? Brandon is hinting nobody is guessing it. Initially I thought it would be something where he was drunk and killed somebody or something like that but now I'm feeling like maybe it wasn't completely his fault. I don't get the vibe they're going to take him in a dark direction anymore.
