I don't see them killing Johnny off unless this show is about to phase the Carters off. Too many departures and bad things happening to one family is not a good sign.

I hope that it is Jane's a** that is dead. I hope she doesn't escape death thrice as she should've originally died when Steven held her hostage back in the day. She escaped death again when Bobby whacked that a** with that mallet. The third time needs to be a charm. Jane going is the only way I can start looking at Ian positively again.

Well Bonnie Langford better pick someone else to sing with.

I need Jane to die! I can never forgive her for tossing Lucy out like trash and covering for Bobby.

So I went back and watched all the explosion episodes (why I don't know) thus far, and the show is just dreadful. The scripts are cheesy. So much stuff doesn't make sense. I don't know who at BBC allowed Sean O'Connor to greenlight this crap, but they need to be stoned or thrashed for allowing it.

The only scenes out this whole ordeal that I found good was Max and Jane. I enjoyed Max refusing to help Jane's crippled a** escape and reminding her that she didn't feel bad when she allowed him to go to prison.

Sadly, I feel bad for Jake Wood. I know my poor @DRW50 must be fretting over the destruction of Max. Max is not gonna be able to come back from this story. They are gonna have to kill him or send him back to prison when all comes out b/c he's too far-gone. Maybe the show will keep this secret for years like they did with Phil knowing about Dennis' death.

When they had him targeting Jack and the Carters for no apparent reason I knew they were going to just make him look awful to prop Ian and Jane and Phil. I checked out. To be honest I've checked out of the show mentally for a while now. Today's episode and Tuesday's were laughingstocks. The ratings will be good, I'm sure, but Julia Smith and Tony Holland would be sick at what this show has become.

Well, the writer's attempt to make me view Max as awful failed miserably. If anything, I cheered when he left Jane behind and when he lied to Ian about Jane. I hope Jane is burned to a crisp, and Ian is left all alone in that house. He deserves to be miserable after getting with Jane, who dumped poor Lucy on a lot like she was trash. And anything bad happening to Phil is fine with me. I always yearn for the day that I hear Steve McFadden is over the show and wants to retire. I'll do a split the day Phil croaks. It'll cause the show to finally progress as the albatross will be gone.

The ratings might be good, but EE got dragged on Twitter today. UK soap fans were praising ED's 3 episodes tonight while making fun of EE. I think the damage was done tonight. I think once this story passes, fans are gonna move on elsewhere for solace.

I do agree that Smith and Holland are rolling in their graves over the destruction of their baby.

This show is hot garbage. Yet another Beale child was killed, and Jane still lives. There's gonna be no next generation for the Beales and Fowlers b/c they keep killing them all off. I'm fearful for Bex at this point.

I thought it was so stupid that Steven was brought back, given a lame a** arc, and then killed off.

I agree.

It would've been much more interesting to see him and Ben at odds over twinkish Johnny or some other dude instead of Steven going crazy over bland Lauren.

Also, Abi once again was tied to yet another man (Ben being the first) that was gay. Can she get knocked up by a man that doesn't like penis as much as she does?!

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
