Y&R Discussion Thread Week of December 18th

Due to working early on Monday, I opted to post the discussion thread ahead of time:

1215.gif and 1427.gif to another week of Young and the Restless.

I will admit, I don't know how this week is going to go, but here is what we are to expect:

Looks like someone is to come predict Kay and Jill's future; while the storm is still brewing in Genoa City, many lives will be affected..

Jack fills the void for Phyllis when she needs someone the most; Nick will be on his own rescue session, as Daniel and Lily get caught in the storm... Brad and Sharon also find themselves in close quarters again; as do Prof. Korbel and whiny, self-absorbed Colleen. (Wonder where J.T. will be during all this, but do any of us really care).

We will also get to see Victor come face to face with Brad's mom Rebecca. What will he find out? (Is it even worth knowing?). Also, expect more 'interesting' secrets to be learned about Brad....yawn.gif.. Also, Lauren has double trouble with not only a mother in law, but a mother also, while another person has a breakdown.

Let's discuss the Good, the Bad, and the downright UGLY of this week's Y&R.

I just love the dolls in your siggy.

As for the show, I hope someone knocks Michael off his moral high ground.

Todays show is really good so far, but it's too dark for me! This is the same problem I have with GL's blackout. I hate when it's so dark that you can't see whats happening.

BWAHAHAHA!

Sharon: I'm easy... I mean I'm easy about my choice of wine... (Or something like that, I'm bad at remembering the exact line, but you get the point.)

GL tapes dark like this quite often and it's annoying. You can't see a thing. I need to get off so I won't miss these Jack/Phyllis scenes.

Babe, I got you, Babe. Babe...

I mean the script (I guess Cher was ghost writer LOL!) was overall okay but could Phyllis have said “Babe” to Nick any bit more often!?

The dark screen also annoyed me but I simply unnaturally increased the brightness factor on my screen. :)

EDIT: Sharon & Brad. Still haaaawwwwt! Phyllis & Jack. Still cuuuuuute!

Words can not even express how good this eppy was, so that is all I will say about it.

ITA! And the Canadian recaps for tomorrow's show sounds even better.

Fantastic show.

I didn't really find the scenes to be THAT dark.

Colleen/Adrian are 100X more watchable than Colleen and FauxPI.

Thank God they let Michelle and Peter share high emotional scenes like this.

Michelle is a great actress when she is given the material.

Todays script was written by LML's husband in case anyone was wondering. Overall I thought it was a near perfect show, my only complaint is Christel Khalil. What was up with her porno heavy breathing? Was Daniel poking her or dying? I can't tell what she was going for...

Brad/Sharon - Now that I like Sharon, I don't want to see her with this scumbag. Their scenes were good and they have potential as a couple, but I'm so sick of Brad just skating by. Hopefully when this is revealed he is treated like a wanker that he truly is.

Jack/Phyllis - Need I say more? Sorry but nobody comes close in regards to chemistry with Michelle Stafford or Peter Bergman. These two haven't been together in over a year and just lit the screen on fire today. Peter Bergman has 100%A sealed his third Emmy win by the end of this week.

Adrienne/Cowbell - I'm surprised, but these two improved in the chemistry department! It was a better script so Colleen didn't seem quite as pathetic as she usually is and they toned down his smugness.

Chancellor Estate - I have enjoyed the Slyvia Browne appearances because I believe that with a little prodding from Esther that Kay would be likely to listen to a psychic. Hell, she was talking to Rex and Phillip's ghosts a couple years ago AND she dabbled in lesbianism. The woman is open minded. My one problem is that I don't understand the purpose of inserting Amber in the scenes. If Billy were around I could understand, but well...he's not!

The Dily scenes were a disgrace so I can't comment on them. Poor Michael Grazaidei.

She certainly is. Phyllis may be a smug beotch right now, but I love Michelle. Todays show was exceptional. If that was LML husband, maybe HE needs to take over.

Uhhh Sylvia Brown looked scared sh!tless to be in a scene with powerhouses like Jeanne Cooper and Jess Walton, and yes even dear old Esther. That woman can't act. And her voice sounds like death. No offence.

One script doesn't really make a difference. I'd have to see what LML husband is capable of over a period of time.

I can't wait for the scene where Jack

breaks down

later this week. Peter Bergman cannot be denied that emmy. He just cannot.

I haven't seen the episode yet but I can't wait!!! The whole show sounds so intense. I have to go watch my tape now!!!

Fourth ;)

He won the award in 1991, 1992, and 2002. So far only Peter Bergman, Eric Braeden, and recently Christian Leblanc has won the award for Lead Actor. If Y&R wins lead actor again this year, then AMC/GH/and Y&R will be tied with 6 lead actors a piece. Of course credit to Anthony Geary and David Canary who each won five emmy's for their respective show.

LoL! I love Sylvia Browne. I own, like, fifteen of her books, and they're fascinating from front to back. It's like hypnosis -- I CANNOT stop reading until I'm completely finished. I once read two and a half of her books in one day.

That said, she's not an actress, LoL. I saw Friday's episode, and the dialogue they gave her was so hokey. "There's a door, and no matter how much you push it or kick it, you don't have the key..." WTF? Sylvia doesn't talk like that! Sylvia is a level-headed speaker, not some hokey-pokey witchy thing.
