Y&R Discussion Thread Week of December 18th

That said, she's not an actress, LoL. I saw Friday's episode, and the dialogue they gave her was so hokey. "There's a door, and no matter how much you push it or kick it, you don't have the key..." WTF? Sylvia doesn't talk like that! Sylvia is a level-headed speaker, not some hokey-pokey witchy thing.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Ms. Sylvia said the writers allowed her to improv her lines. Not to say that hokey-pokey line was hers though

Michelle rocked. I mean she rocked. I felt every emotion she was going threw. Great episode. Peter was great as well.

Free JT for Victoria. I need this, I mean really need this. Colleen and her dud of a father can go somewhere. I want JT and Victoria.

My only complaint is CK, I wanted to go threw the tv and strangle her for distroying my Nick and Daniel moments.

I will say Peter has stiff compition with TSJ in the lead department IMO cause of the execution storyline but that is me.

Toay was great! I love every single moment. Now this is how you write an ice storm. FIRST make sure you write it at a time when weather is bad and not in september when it is still 80 degrees outside  and make it compelling, leaving the audience on the edge of their seat. I'm starting to enjoy Y&R again!

As great as Peter is he shouldn't use this as a tape. The attention might be drawn to Stafford. If Peter wants two surefire tapes, then he will use:

Episode 1 -Jack punches Nick out, and then confronts Phyllis over the affair

Episode 2 -Jack bids farewell to his father, and then demolishes the "back alley grifter"/or anything from the week of John's death.

I can't believe Y&R is going to allow TWO babies to survive this year! I'm actually curious to see Phyllis in motherhood. Hopefully, the character gets her edge back, and the writers remember that Daniel is her son.

I am surprised as well but I also look at it this way, Fen and Summer are the future couple coming.

And with SORAS, that future couple may appear as soon as 2010.

I missed the second half of today's show, but I enjoyed most of the ice storm scenes besides Katherine/Jill/Sylvia/Esther/Amber and Colleen/Adrian.

YAY! Brad/Sharon- u know I loves it! Finally, going back to the roots of the Brad character- he's a cad, a flirt, wants what he can't have and is never happy with what he's got. Sorry, Brad's not a dud- the writing for him is. But you cannot deny the electricity between Brad & Sharon. And thanks Y&R for not actually showing Victwhoria during the phone call. I was watching Y&R Friday and I just cannot get over how bland her performance is. I was hoping she'd step it up for Y&R- just like she did when she portrayed Steffi Brewster on Loving. No such luck. It's Mia all over again!

Jack/Phyllis were DY-NO-MITE

Daniel/Lily- Unless Lily's face has been crushed and gets plastic surgery to look like Davetta Sherwood again, then FF!!

Colleen/Korbel- Zzzzzzzzzzz

Sylvia/Jill/Kay/Esther- I wish this storyline would get interesting because I want it to be so badly! Where's this secret we were promised that would alter Kay & Jill's relationship permanently? Because from what I'm seeing, they're back to being written as the lame mother/daughter duo they never were meant to be.

I really enjoyed the episode!! I actually could tolerate Colleen and Korbel and could see chemistry between them for the first time. Brad/Sharon are so much more interesting together than Brad/Victoria. And I like JT/Victoria better also. I hope the writers break up the marriage soon. And I absolutely love the Jack/Phyllis scenes. Very intense and I hope they both get an Emmy nod for their performances.

Overall, a great show and I am looking forward to today's also!!

Co-sign on each and everything you've said.

Jack and Phyllis:

I don't care for this Sylvia chick (she can take her hoodoo elsewhere) and what was the point of Amber being shoved into these scenes? Pleeeeease don't tell me she's somehow connected to Kay's nightmares.

Did I forget to mention that I  me some Jack and Phyllis? Joshua Morrow/Michelle Stafford scenes will never on their best day come close to the level of superbness of Peter Bergman/Michelle Stafford scenes. Neither the chemistry for that matter. There's no need for Jack/Phyllis to fruck like rabbits to come up with this kind of intensity. NO WAY!

Jack and Phyllis will always have far more chemistry than Nick and Phyllis would...Nick and Phyllis' chemistry is purely sexual, while her chemistry with Jack is genuine and real...I still say that baby, somewhere down the line, is going to be Jack's...

Liked the Nick/Lily/Daniel scenes, however, everytime I see the original Lily, I think "Davetta could have been much stronger in that scene" I just don't see Christel being a strong Lily....

Didn't understand at all about what Sylvia Browne was saying to Kay and Jill....especially when she kept saying whatever it was about violets....

Don't see any sparks between Prof. Korbel and Colleen...not even sexual chemistry...If Prof. were to be with anyone, it should be Victoria, not Colleen or Amber.

I'm loving Colleen and Adrian. I the whole kissy kissy and "no we can't do this cause its wrong. I'm a teacher and you're my student and this is wrong" and then right back to the action. I'm loving every minute of it!

Lily annoyed the hell out of me today. I know she was worried about Daniel but all her screetching and harping got on my nerves. Ugh, why she have to come back?

Peter Freakin Bergman *bowing in adulation* The man is unbelievable. Him handing the baby over to Nick was just unbelievable.

Michelle was good but there was something I wasn't buying about the birth. Maybe it was that it was over too quick, or the screams felt a little forced.

Colleen and the Professor igg the hell out of me, mostly because Colleen is annoying and I don't find him at all attractive.

Lily. Sigh.

Brad and Sharon were interesting. As much as Brad was saying he loves Victoria and is committed, he was the one trying to seduce Sharon.

The way Nick said "I'm the father," made me raise my brow.
