I dont actually mind the nu shawn ... i have to give him a chance. I didnt like Martha when she took over Belle but now I love her more then ever. Its just hard to think Jasons gone :'(

I thought JC was terrible from the first day. He never really seemed to improve unless he was pissed off. He did that very well.

I can't WAIT to see Brandon Beemer. It will be a whole new concept not to roll my eyes and cringe in Shawn scenes. Bring it on!

I disagree. When JC tried to "emote" and be all pissed off was when his acting was at its worst. Angry Shawn was an embarassment.

Cook wasn't horrible but he was bad. The big thing is he was recognizable in the role and was here for a long time. Plus, he was the only MAJOR character from the teenage revolution (I don't count Mimi as she was never a major character in that scene until much later) to still be here while everyone else left.

Whatever the case, I am watching right now and Beemer is great. A little tentative at times but that is expected on the first day. He showed more emotion in scenes then Jason did in all his years. The only time I was pleased with Cook's acting was during the episode when JT was given away. He did pretty well there but other then that the only time he managed to be tolerable was in his anger scenes and that too was here and there.

I would've loved to see Colin too. He was so cute years ago I would imagine he is very hot now.

I agree. JC could do the "pissed off young man" routine quite well, and he did have some chemistry with Kristian and Peter. But when it came time for everything else, he was bad.

Normally I hate recasts. It takes time for actors to grow on me. In this case, it is no different! I don't like the new Shawn right now. I only watched bits and pieces of today's episode, but he seemed to look really out of place.

I liked Beemer. Like others said, he did sound similar to JC voice-wise, BUT the first impression was that he was a very good actor. Man, the casting people are doing a great job lately!!

This is a whole new world for me Days-wise. I found myself watching the Shawn/Belle/Mimi/Phil scenes more than anything else. That could be because I can't stand Chelsea or Max, and I'm tired of Bo and Hope repeating the same thing over and over again.

Ah geez. I was all prepared to come on and go "what show are you watching?" and I see this. Glad to see the Brandon love... I thought he was pretty doggone good for his first day!
