Thanks for the good news or so I hope is good news EricaKane

LMAO at this, I can just imagine the look on his face:

I lied and told him that I'm a carpet salesman, but that I watch soaps and I'd

heard he was going to write for one.

And this sounds excellent.

I asked if he's ever watched the show--he said he's been watching since the day it

started. He also watched "One Life to Live" since it started.

I asked him what's wrong with the show? He said point blank--"That's easy, they screwed up

Erica Kane's history and they got rid of the veterans."

I really think the best people to have writing the genre as those that are truly fans of it. I just hope Disney gives him the freedom he no doubt will want. I've been watching since I was a kid in the early eighties and I barely recogonize Erica Kane anymore and at this point cannot tell Adam from Stuart. When a soap goes this far off course with its biggest, strongest characters something is very wrong. I don't think you can make every fan happy but at this point there is not one storyline I am interested in or one character who I love enough to put the effort into watching.

Thanks again for the information.

The only thing I don't believe in in this post is that Armus called Megan !@#$%^&*]. It's just a bit too much.

I didn't even notice that, considering I would've said the exact same thing word for word if EK4L came up to me after finding out I was the mythical McTravesty replacement.

That comment is unprofessional to say the least, and to say it to a stranger???

It's no more unprofessional then Frons calling Kathy Brier fat. And he did it in one of the Soap rags. Sounds to me like BA will fit right in at ABCD. LOL.

WHAT??? That is low, imagine how she felt!

OMG I love him already, I love his comment about McTrash!

I so cannot wait for him to take over writing.

They could keep Josh as Erica's son another way. Some have suggested making him Kendall's twin or something, or just keep him as a Madden, perfect Kane/Madden rivalry with Josh and Erica

Hey people,

It's not unusual at all that I would run into Burton Armus.

I've been working on soaps for over 30 years.

I did the lighting for "All My Children" for 11 years, "Another World" 3 years

and "Guiding Light" for I won't say.

I am deeply ensconced in the daytime soap industry and I know just about

everybody.

Armus was playing golf with some soap executives, so it's not unusual that I ran

into him.

And I am not who people "THINK" I am. HA HA!!!

In fact, I'm none of the 3 people that people around here think I am, but please---go on

thinking that.

You need to come back to AMC and do the lighting. It's very bad now.

Um... What if EK's been there for the past 11 years? ;)

I'm just saying... We don't know which 11 years EK was part of the team, so...

LOL!!!! :D

I worked on AMC in the early 1970's. One of my first gigs. Susan Lucci got me the job

which why I dubbed me-self "EricaKane4Life".

I was just supposed to be a TEMP, but Susan Lucci was really happy about how I lit her.

She was like--"hire him permanently!"

So worked for AMC until about 1984. Then moved to CBS.

People just don't understand how lighting can make or break you while on camera. Hell, even in person!

At least he didn't say it in a soap magazine. I've seen Frons say plenty of things that were unprofessional, and the one Kylie mentioned was a big one.

IMO what BA said wasn't that bad, and summed up how alot of us probably feel ;)

Yeah its not like he was expecting it to be published. In the context and setting it was really mild if you ask me.
