There's no justification for an insult. And this one is big. No matter how bad Megan's writing is, or anyone else's for that matter, he just shouldn't have said that...

Listen Sylph, you really need to get a clue buddy.

People who work on soap operas are just like any other people, they aren't sitting around thinking

about what's "professional".

They curse, shout, booze and smoke. Some of them are real sweet, others are more ornery.

I was once at the Daytime Emmys and overheard Jill Farren Phelps refer to Genie Francis as "that silly !@#$%^&*]."

I've heard Gloria Monty and Lorraine Broderick call other women "!@#$%^&*]" in a conversation without skipping a beat.

I heard Sally Sussman Morina say she wishes they could keep that Druscilla "!@#$%^&*]" (actress name escapes me) from coming back on the show.

Nobody in the soap biz considers this behavior abnormal.

^^^ I agree. A job is a job, coworkers are coworkers, colleagues are colleagues and people are HUMAN.

I would've called Megan McTavish a !@#$%^&*] without skipping a beat. Considering how much she enjoys writing stories where women are degraded, violated, raped, terrorized and just plain marginalized, she probably would've gotten hot over it. Wasn't it just a few months ago where she had Babe trying to seduce JR by having her call herself a dirty little slut?

Please.

I know, but things tend to work differently outside of Pleasantville.

As if I didn't know that. And do I sense anger in your voice, ie. writing? I don't know where does that come from...

Anyway, I'm not Bree Van De Kamp whose hair bizarrely never moves and and I don't live in kind of Wonderfulcuteperfectland where everyone obeys the bonton and stuff. My comment is not about that. And as I said before - I doubt he was that familiar with you. You meet a person and all of a sudden he calls his predecessor "!@#$%^&*]". Lovely.

And, by the way, I have the right to express my oppinion without you yelling at me. OK? ;)

Who yelled at you? Who is angry at you?

I was ANNOYED by your "naivete", but that's about it. B)

You are totally off the mark, because Armus said to me (and six other guys) exactly what I said.

FYI nobody says "Lovely" in the soap biz. No wonder you're soiling your short pants. HA HA!

This reminds me of the Jimmy Reilly blurb in TVGuide a few years ago, where he said he's been in writer's meetings where people had on sunglasses and styrofoam cups filled with what was obviously alcohol. Well, if I were writing for PASSIONS, that would be the only way for me to get through my job!

I was once at the Daytime Emmys and overheard Jill Farren Phelps refer to Genie Francis as "that silly !@#$%^&*]."

I would expect nothing less from Hitler!

And I don't know why anyone is shocked by what Armus allegedly said, especially with the internet article where he pretty much disses Karen Harris. Except McTavish's was well-deserved.

It would be a lot more fun (though predictable) to hear what people say behind JFP's back.

You misunderstood me, but it doesn't matter. I think we should stop here because we're probably annoying people a lot. I see you have trouble with tropes, which (comment) lovely was. ;)

And P. S. I do not lack wordliness and sophistication. B)

I'd like to read that. Can you tell me where?

These are the days when you just wish they had promoted Felicia Minei Behr to president of ABC Daytime and kept all the shows in line including McTavish....but then again the woman can only do so much given the amount of resources she has

I also happen to like this thread too.( it makes me smile)

Part of me WANTS to like her, but I can't decide whether or not she went along with the plan to vamp-up PC. In that TV Guide interview, she said, "(PC) has got to stop leaning on GENERAL HOSPITAL so much." Ummm...did she realize the shows were both set in the same town? The same hospital? Duh!

She's said very little and has done even less to make me even remotely confident in her skills.

I'm still waiting for her to fix the lighting she claimed to do with the bigger budget she was given with AMC vs. PC. The show still looks like it's shot with flood lamps.

Alot of people, my self included, wanted PC to be it's own show, without having to rely on GH so much. Just like with B&B it doesn't have to rely on Y&R, it's it's own show
