AMC: Thursday's episode

I don't think the screenmae is offensive. That's just who Lily is. I'm partially conceited and my handles usually revolve around my name or interests. The writing on this show offends me more.

Did Kendall put Josh in his place? If so, I might have a reason to watch tonight.

I think Colby is Paris Hilton for the soaps. Although, I have a confession. I actaully like Mini me. It must be my Babe and Krystal hate, but I love it when she puts them in their places.

What's this about JR shredding her dress? This character is the worst on the canvas. Colby's a brat but at least she's not a crazed, abusive, homicidal jerk!

lol - well the other day, Colby and Sydney were fighting over this dress they wanted to wear - and JR was getting annoyed (along with us all) bc they were too loud - so he came in and tore the dress in half. Colby got pissed.

I'm not surprised Lily would make that her screename, how many times does she say the line..."It's because I have Autism...."?

It's a part of her and she always highlights it.

That is the least offensive thing about this show.

I find the All My Children as a whole offensive. I thought that's what this post was about when I saw the topic.

I don't find her name offensive. As AlwaysAMC said, it's in character for Lily.

And I don't blame you for not watching the show much lately lol.

What I find interesting is that there's obviously an AutismGirl1 out there somewhere.

:lol::lol:

Thnx for the info.

I hope that wasn't a fancy dress. It's so hard find a goo one that fits.

Maybe it's me, but I like Colby more than Sydney. Sydney reminds me of Babe.

No problem.

LMAO - well I know you despise Babe - and if you watch(ed) today's - then you may hate Sydney even more....haha. They form a...bond?

I find Sydney more sympathetic then Colby because she actually seems to be grounded and seems to actually realize that there are other things in life then shopping with Daddy's credit card. I can't stand Colby and her shallowness. What's worse about it is that it is disturbingly accurate and there are girls that act like her. Lord help us all.

I can't stand the spoiled brat.

Then shouldn't the screenname be "BcuzIHavAutismSpectrumDisorder2"

You know she's anal like that.

First, I wouldn't necessarily say that the previous poster finds it offensive - she just said she doesn't think it's surprising.

Second, like I said, you haven't been watching the show much lately. It makes PERFECT sense that her screename is that. Her life was just ruined bc she found out Jonathan was normal and not 'like her'. She locked herself in her room and the sole reason she's online was to find someone who is 'like her' to replace Jonathan. The entire purpose of this chat session is to find someone 'like her'. Do you get it? It's not like she's on AIM all the time and her permanent screename is AutismGirl.

Plus Lily is not ashamed of her autism. She makes it perfectly aware to everyone that she has Austism Spectrum Disorder (which I have memorized bc she says it so often). Because of this, it is not surprising or offensive that Lily would make her screename that.

Finally, stop being so dramatic please! lol

Oh, well...okay. You're right, I didn't realize that had happened on the show. So yes, I agree it makes sense if she just wants to find a man with autism. So that's cool. But if it were her permanent AOL screen name, I would be highly offended!

What's disgusting is your suggesting Adam backhand her, even if I do find Colby an UberBrat. I'm no withering flower by any means, but calling a her a "goddamn whore" over being spoiled is over the top and an insult that doesn't match the point you're trying to make, imo.

You much beloved "filmed look" has nothing to do with AMC's ability to create a montage, including the one today.

Consider dialing it down, dude. Or if not, make sure the insult relates to the behavior?

Frankly, rsmith, I can't imagine ANYTHING getting through to a spoiled brat like Colby. Physical violence is the only answer, plus it would make for GREAT drama. (And no, I don't condone violence in real life, but it is a fictional show, and Colby IS unusually bratty and annoying, so it fits).

As for the montage, I know that you don't need film or the look to make a montage. Those fast-moving kind, however, in my humble opinion, make montages look better. Less cheap, more natural.

Well, you're right, I shouldn't have called Colby a whore. But you have to remember, I was watching it live during lunch and my wi-fi was right by my side. Clearly, I just said the first things that came to mind as I watched those horrible scenes.

This entire opinion is offensive to me...sure she's super annoying and has a lot of learning to do - but calling her these offensive names and suggesting her father backhand her?

Again, it's fiction, and a soap. I don't condone violence but in this fictional case, yes. And I don't find that insulting or offensive since Colby NEEDS it.

And please, people, don't chastize me for this comment. Just how many people on this board say, dramatically, that characters should be killed for some silly thingt they've done? Well, this is no different. Actually, physical violence is better, because I DON'T want Colby to die. After all, if she died, the brat wouldn't have learned her lesson.

alwaysAMC, I'm with ya. That's the first thing I thought of when I was watching today's episode, Sweet Sixteen. God, Colby and Sydney are ANNOYING. Screaming about hair and dresses. I just wanted to yell. AMC was horrible today. I wanted to see more of Kendall/Josh and Zach/Di, but it was all about the Diva Bratz. =\

It's like if someone had a screen name called "AIDSboy69." Wouldn't you find that a bit odd?

only if it were a personals ad

I haven't seen the episode yet but no the AutismGirl screen name I really don't find offensive. She is trying to find someone similar to her so in a way she is putting it all out there so she'll find someone like her. People often base their screen names on something unique to their personality, Lily's being autism.

Colby and Sydney's brattiness is going to me be far more offensive LOL.

Yeah, like Colby’s would be ''StupidCunt16'' and Ryan’s would be ''DoucheBagNumberOne''.
