Wow.

I watched a day ahead and the episode was amazing. Hilarious, gut-wrenching and dramatic.

First off, there was Caroline/Hope/Bo. The scenes of Caroline telling Hope how much she meant to the Bradys as a family was very touching, and Peggy McKay delivered perfectly. And the Bo/Hope dynamic, with Hope furious Bo would use his mother to manipulate her.

Mimi/Belle coversation was good, and it was nice to finally see Claire. Also, Belle running into Abby at the garage was a nice touch.

Mimi/Hope at the pier was a surprise--and nice change of pace.

And then there was Philip/Shawn!! These two were pretty funny getting drunk and really had some memorable lines....

[Philip, drunk, wants to listen to music. He turns on the radio to cheesy song.]

Philip: Get some tunes on. Let's jack it up! That's what I'm talking about..... What *is* this crap?

Shawn: Funny enough, that is the song Belle and i danced to during the Last Blast.

Philip: (smiling, fake) Of course it is! What else would it be? Cause no matter what I do, I can't get away from Shawn and Belle's greatest hits.

[both quite drunk already]

Philip: I can drink you under the table and day of the week.

Shawn: Really? That's funny, becaue at the Brady Pub..... well call this a bar, not a table.

[Cue to Philip's stunned expression]

Shawn: Cheer! (drinks)

Philip: I can drink you under the BAR.... Whatever it is, I can drink you under it.

[Talking about how Philip has everything.... a child, money, Belle]

Philip: Except for one thing.

Shawn: What? What's that?

Philip: (serious) My left leg.

[Pause, then they both break out into laughter!]

Philip: (squealing laughter) I don't have a leg!!

And Shawn/Mimi at the end was really chilling. Mimi goes to wake him, but he isn't moving. Unconscious.

Then Chelsea comes face-to-face with Belle and Claire, ready to tell the truth.......

It was an awesome episode.

Moreover, Shawn needs to go unconscious way more, too.

Great episode. Wow.

Peter Reckell just knocked another one out of the park. A lot of the time he overplays anger. But today, it was right on target. I had chill, man- chills! Pinson really downplayed Billie's anger really nicely, too. I love Melvin, but for crying out loud, how dare Chelsea feel sorry for herself and play the victim! Stupid bitch!

All the interactions were wonderful. Hope/Mimi, Abby/Belle. Seeing Caroline is always a treat. Did anyone else love how much they used Lisa today? She seemed like more than just an extra for once and I loved that. I mean, she's only worked at the Pub for HOW long? Her lines really were a nod to that history. Loved it!

Shawn and Philip at the Pub were hilarity at their best. Drunk and unconscious is definitely the way to go for Jason Cook. Kind of ironic... They don't do it often, but I loved Shawn calling him Uncle Phil. Am I the only one who would have loved Caroline walking into it all?

Seems Abby put two and two together about what Chelsea found out after her talk with Belle, eh? Smart girl- the perfect daughter for Salem's best investigative reporters!

When Caroline left, I really loved Bo and Hope. However, did anyone else feel jipped that we didn't get to see a scene where Bo comes to the conclusion and he and Hope realize it has to be what happened? They talked about it too matter-of-factly for my taste considering the last time it was mentioned it hit Bo, and he left...

Today's episode really exemplified what makes soaps work. Drama at it's best. With a little honest-to-goodness laughter and good times as an undertone. There's not enough fun on soaps anymore!

WOW...AMAZING.

One of the best all around shows in a long time.

The interactions were fantastic. Mimi/Hope, Caroline/Hope, etc. Loved the family stuff with Hope and Caroline.

Loved Shawn/Philip. I want some more drunk scenes-Cook did them well (hmm I wonder why ? ). Brandt was hilarious-it was all great fun. I wish Caroline walked in too. The end with Mimi was chilling and Fath did play that well IMO. I liked the Belle/Mimi talk too as well as Abby/Belle at the garage.

I loved the ending with Chelsea seeing Belle walk in-great cliffhanger.

Peter Reckell was superb today, as was Melvin and Pinson. No one overplayed it and these scenes were so chilling and great to watch. Classic soap IMO.

Excellent show to end a great week. I can't wait until next week. Major props to Days and Beth Milstein for a amazing week. :)

Wow~

All the amazing positive feedback from today's eppy....can't wait to watch.

but boy am I ready for an end to the both 'quad' stories

The entire show was worth it for me for one reason:

BO WAKES UP!

He finally wakes up and realizes what a worthless piece of trash he and Billie reproduced.

That alone was worth the price of admission. :D:P:D

I thought Bo was harsh. I just can't see a parent ever banishing their child from their lives no matter what awful deeds they do.

As for Shawn and Phillip I thought it was frat boys acting stupid.

  • Member

Well, I can't wait for Bo to find out how Billie slipped in the bed with him the night Zach was buried.

And I am glad the Bo laid in to Chelsea, she deserved that and more.

When is Mimi's last show date?

Mercy...I have nothing else to add to those who have posted their positive feedbacks. It was a tremendous day, the first I've totally loved that didn't have S&K in it. That speaks volumes. I loved the corny drunken scenes with Philip and Shawn...."hey, I'm a Kirkiakis, too, Uncle Philip" The ending was chilling and Mimi was good today. Actually, I do want to say from my perspective, today did not have the feeling of the usual "quad" it was more back to the friends like they were before. Also, Claire is adorable. It was so fun to hear her talking. She's going to be one year old the end of September and the little White girls are the same actual age as Claire.

Rockin' Days. Thanks writing team and actors, etal.
