  1. As some will attest here, I have been anxious as hell the last few weeks. Tonight, I'm not. Oh, Trump CAN still win. I'm not naive. But I also feel that this Madison Square Garden Nazi Tribute (that's what this was!) ended up being a HUGE mistake for Trump. Even the media, which is usually content to carry his dirty water, was beyond disgusted and disturbed. I think the REALITY of what Donald Trump is was shoved out for all to see, and it was disgusting and blatant and NOT what a candidate wants voters to be left thinking of only eight days before an election.
  2. Just a little tangent: I know Nina Arvesen from Santa Barbara, where she played Angela Raymond and ended up having a steamy fling with Jack Wagner's Warren Lockridge. Ironically, she was on the show the same time as Eileen Davidson who was (mis)cast as the final Kelly Capwell. Back on topic: Speaking of SB, I'd say Mary Duvall, she of death by a falling C, qualifies. Only on for a couple years, but she truly was Mason's first love and helped Mason go from sleazy scoundrel to semi-upstanding [he still had his issues!] individual. He long felt her presence after her death, and it even tied into his and Julia's lives intersecting and going forward from that story. Including the baby contract [since Mary died pregnant and Mason never got to be a father] and Mark McCormack's [as played by John Lindstrom] eventual remains being found almost two years after that and Mason having to go undercover in a church to clear himself via Sister Sarah/his presumed death during then/Sonny Sprockett DID, all leading to Mason reuniting with Mary in heaven before finally committing to Julia. The character seemed to fade during Terry Lester's run as Mason, but Gordon Thomson's version alluded to her a few times, so the character was never truly forgotten.
  3. This is the correct answer.
  4. Have never subscribed to the L.A. Times, but now I am even more glad I canceled my WaPo subscription months ago. (This after the Editorial Board was blasting Kamala Harris about her lack of precise policies while COMPLETELY giving Donald Trump a pass.)
  5. Well, JJ and Stephanie are first cousins, as Steve and Jack are brothers, soooo...
  6. I clicked on the article, and someone in the comments on the Rawstory site says they already have the suspect, who confessed. Hope he enjoys federal prison. And I hope those that may be affected vote in person, as I think today or tomorrow is said to be the deadline for any replacement ballots to be re-sent.
  7. This is what Trump has wrought:
  8. Not polls, though. Early voting has favored the GOP based on those following. As I said, I realize it's early. But to think it is indeed so close is demoralizing. Especially knowing so many don't care that Trump is lower than sewer sludge. So many fellow Americans seem to enjoy the drama and hatred and that is just...unreal. So, like those following early voting on social media have said, I hope Dems start turning in those ballots if they are holding on to them in ballot-voting states or come out in a massive way on Election Day. The alternative is horrifying.
  9. I'm just frayed to the edges. I know it's early. I know a billion factors are in play. But when you see news like normally blue Miami-Dade County in Florida flipping red, and see how new sexual assault accusations don't even move the needle against Trump...even after HITLER... Well, I'm just scared and sad right now. Could we still win? I pray to God or whatever being one believes in that it can happen. But Trump has - thus far - been Teflon, so the 2016 PTSD I keep harping on seems realer by the day.
  10. It does get repetitive, talking about Trump being a danger. But maybe belaboring the point is the only way to really drill it into the heads of prospective voters. I mean, this is a POS that admires HITLER and wants a staff like HITLER had. Between that disgusting bit, January 6th, and just the general vileness of Donald Trump - and considering he is literally running to try to avoid prison - maybe such hammering is a necessary evil.
  11. Whatever this bombshell is, the flop sweat and fear from the sewer of Charlie Kirk and other slime of its ilk is palpable over on TwitX. Maybe Elmo can jump around some more in a Kabuki dance to distract...
  12. Just going to put this here. At this juncture, it is what it is:
  13. I think if it were a "regular" GOP candidate, a la Reagan or either Bush, etc., that story would be shrugged off. But I think Trump has given so many people PTSD that even the thought of him gaining support is seen with trepidation/fear, and fear causes people to believe what they may not otherwise. I'm no analyst, obviously, but I will say that numbers of minority Georgia voters thus far is being seen as low/weak. Now, whether that is just more narrative or based in truth, we can only wait and see come November 5th, assuming it is correct, and see if that demographic increases.
  14. Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the breakdown of this whole thing.
  15. Truly not trying to be thick-headed here, @Vee, but do you mean Harris, not Biden, or is it more of the 2020 connection? So many opposing analyses, polls, and takes just have my head spinning, and I'm not making heads or tails out of anything here.
  16. As if one needed another reason to vote for Harris/Walz, guess who Dump has on the short list for potential Attorney General? https://abcnews.go.com/US/judge-tossed-trumps-classified-docs-case-list-proposed/story?id=114997807
  17. Sigh. With the Ralston post and lower than expected (so far - I know it's early) Dem turnout, I really am starting to have a strong 2016 vibe. For some reason, I think the US is afraid of a woman POTUS. Kamala Harris is smart and knowledgeable, but so was Hillary Clinton. As I said before, if I'm wrong, great. But so far...
  18. Huh! I thought Chandler Massey may have been named for the Friends character, but he was born four years before that show started! Go figure.
  19. No, you're right. I've been pretty good at being optimistic this time, but the occasional freakout had its moment. I do think 2016 will always be with us, though, if just to ensure we don't get complacent and VOTE.
  20. I actually remember Barbara Niven from a few episodes of Silk Stalkings as different characters. But her appearance in the episode, "Pulp Addiction", as "author" Jackie McMillan with Hugo Napier as her alcoholic hubby that was a ghost writer of those romance novels was a hoot!
  21. I pray to God I'm anxious for nothing, but Trump is now 1.6% ahead of Harris in Georgia. I'm starting to get uneasy 2016 vibes. A part of me believes - has always believed - that this country is so entrenched in misogyny that it refuses to vote for a woman for POTUS, no matter how qualified. And that is where foreign nations are well ahead of us. If I'm wrong and Kamala is victorious? FANTASTIC. Still, it's devastating to think voters would rather lose democracy and their rights and vote for an elderly dementia-riddled felon because this nation cannot let go of "old white male for POTUS" syndrome.
  22. Good God. This is just further proof that Trump gives zero shits about gun violence:
  23. I'm so anxious that I just wish November 5th would just get here, and let the chips fall where they may. You know? Still, I have already done my part and voted a straight-blue ballot. I can only hope and pray enough other voters do the same.
  24. Yeah, but Texas, for some reason, loves to keep voting against their own interests. As much as I wish Allred could pull an upset, I see Cruz easily winning again. And then the bitching from some Texans will continue, even as they are the ones that will usher him back in. It's political Stockholm Syndrome.
