  1. This is posted in the Drake Hogestyn thread, but I will also link his post here. A Martinez posted a lovely tribute to his friend (and brief former co-star!), Drake Hogestyn: https://www.instagram.com/p/DAihlZCxZIR/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=731dd26d-2293-4d5c-a6c4-e5a143c45a3b
  2. He had his controversies, but still:
  3. Too late for Amber Nicole Thurman, but at least her death was not in vain: Judge strikes down Georgia abortion law that killed Amber Nicole Thurman: https://t.co/Kvt2oiV7Gz Loved the Tim Walz/Scout video! So refreshing! Here's another reason to smile, another Randy Rainbow video! Parodied to "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift. Fitting, right?
  4. No idea if this info is legit, but...here, just in case. Seems wrong to me, unless they are talking about tape date and getting confused?
  5. Both the Y&R and AMC Twitter accounts also posted condolences, which I think was a classy thing to do.
  6. Mary Beth Evans via Instagram. Again, I have no idea how to embed there. So sorry! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAg7P-3xgfT/?igsh=YjNsdHJiZzhuNHZ3
  7. A lot more tributes are on the SOD site, i.e. Paul Telfer, Darrin Brooks, Camilla Banus, Stacy Haiduk, and more: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/daytime-stars-pay-tribute-to-dayss-drake-hogestyn-john/
  8. No idea how to embed Instagram, but Charles Shaughnessy (Shane Donovan, of course!) has also posted: https://www.instagram.com/p/DAfT1CwRkv8/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=1efa5949-86eb-4639-9b16-93f2636d1ddf
  9. I say burn the rest of Carlivati's stuff and go, maybe a month - max, if extra time is needed - for tape to air. Just start fresh and start with honoring Drake. (But keep the Doug tribute under Ron as there is no way to re-film that!)
  10. Yes! I actually think Drake did good work with this arc. It also had to be kind of bittersweet, losing his established role, maybe fearing for his future. But he acquitted himself well. And I will forever love the whole Chichen Itza remote. It was gorgeous. And quite the backdrop for Isabella to tell John about being pregnant with Brady. On another note, I have read of many upcoming returns some time ago, and I thought it may have had to do with Roman, but now...I wonder if the show was sadly planning ahead. I don't mean to be cryptic, but this is not a spoiler thread, nor is it the proper time. But now I do wonder...
  11. Many reactions in this thread, including Kate Mansi, Cary Christopher, the Y&R account, Nancy Lee Grahn, Michele Val Jean, and more. Just click on the date at the bottom of this post to see the thread in full.
  12. OMG, I never thought of that. Pancreatic cancer is horrible. I hope Drake didn't suffer too much by the end.
  13. Just saw this break on Soap Digest, and my response was "Holy s-h-i-t!" He hadn't looked well for a while, but I still NEVER expected this. Damn. And I LOVED RoJohn/later John/Isabella. May Drake rest in peace.
  14. If it were some GOP-leaning pollster, I'd believe this is an outlier, but this is an A+-ranked outlet. Still trying to remain hopeful, but a part of me wonders if the electorate is still stuck on misogyny so badly that they would rather have a demented dictator than a woman for POTUS.
  15. No. Generations ran from 1989 until 1991. Another World was not canceled until 1999 (as was Sunset Beach!). Passions replaced Another World. AW ended on June 25, 1999. Passions took over that slot on July 5, 1999. (And Sunset Beach ended New Year's Eve (December 31st) 1999.)
  16. Not as much as the dragging; I'm on TwitX in another tab, and I'd say those dragging versus defending are at least twice that. And the ones defending her were already in the tank for Trump. He's gained no one new. And that's what he needs.
  17. The trouble is, with the show being almost 9 FREAKING MONTHS out, by the time changes occur, people may just say, "Screw it!" and quit watching.
  18. Well, right or wrong, Janet Jackson is now getting positively dragged all over TwitX regarding her ignorant remarks about Kamala Harris and her father. Misinformation/Disinformation is poison.
  19. Apparently, a special on MSNBC, "From Russia With Lev", is chock full of more Trump criminality. Unfortunately, the very people that should watch this, have their heads up their backsides for Fat Felon:
  20. I don't know. Not familiar with British slang, but then, I'm the one that also cringes when loose is used for lose, so take my post in the "get off my lawn!" spirit for which it's intended.
  21. Bouie showing receipts is TRUE journalism! But people, it is WHINING, not WHINGING. *cringe*
  22. I don't doubt that for one minute. My hope is, with this rampant scumbag on the NC ballot, that he loses and loses BIG, AND takes down the entire GQP down ballot. I can dream.
  23. Okay, that's even better. It's like a gaggle of clowns run these GQP campaigns. And I cannot thank them enough for their incompetence and stupidity.
