By the way, I also stand by my other, most recent casting choices: Melanie Smith as a Billie recast, and Martha Byrne as a newcomer who turns out to be Maggie’s long-lost half-sister (a long-buried secret that ties in with the car accident that killed Maggie’s folks and left her paralyzed for a period).

So, I just googled Alma Delfina. Apparently, she’s only four years younger than Ana-Alicia; and since they apparently didn’t do much with Mama Hernandez when she was on the show…? Yeah, I’m standing by fantasy casting choice: Ana-Alicia as a recast for Adriana Hernandez.

Have we ever met Rafe and Gabi’s mom? I’d say Ana-Alicia might be good for THAT role (with either a returning A Martinez or Lorenzo Lamas playing their dad).

Actually, that would leave the following: Abe, Anna, Doug, Jennifer (unless I couldn’t get Cady McClain back and on-contract), John (even though I’d really love to get rid of him!), Julie, Justin, Kate, Kayla, Maggie, Marlena (even though I’d really love to get rid of her!), Nicole, Steve, Tony, Valerie (if I could get back Tina Andrews) and Victor. And I'm only keeping on Doug, Julie, Maggie and Victor, because I feel uncomfortable writing out aging and/or ailing actors. I wouldn't use them heavily, but I wouldn't eighty-six them either. So, lol? It's not as if I'd have Marlena wake up one morning to find Bobby Ewing John in the shower while Tommy Westphall -- I mean, Theo Carver -- is downstairs playing with one of his snow globes. I'd phase out most of the cast gradually -- like, say, over a week or two? Besides, it's much better than the plans I have for GH:

Agree. I miss Hope, but I don't see a point in recasting her either. Let's see, if I were heading up the (alleged) DAYS "clean sweep"... Abigail, Allie, Ava, Belle, Ben, Bonnie (or just reveal she’s really Adrienne), Brady, Chad, Chanel, Chloe, Ciara, Craig, Gabi, Gwen, EJ, Eli, Jake, Jan, Johnny, Kristen, Lani, Lucas, Nancy, Paulina, Rafe, Rex, Roman (or bring back Wayne Northrop and have Josh Taylor resume playing Chris), Sarah, Shawn, Susan, Tripp and Xander. That should free up some cash.

In the past, when Y&R was still run by competent people, their corporate storylines, typically revolving around Jabot and Newman Enterprises, were the most riveting, because they knew that the more specific they were, the bigger the stakes for everyone involved.

If Melanie Smith were returning to acting, then I'd love to see her on DAYS -- but not as a Hope recast. If anything, she should be a recast for Billie.

Agree. Victor and Ashley have (or had) way more story potential together, as a couple, than do Victor and Nikki, who have been played out for the longest time; and if Y&R weren't always so damn fixated on Victor and Nikki, they'd realize that, too.

"Johnny Devil"? Was that the flip-side to Shelley Fabares' hit song, "Johnny Angel"? If this were a bad sitcom -- which is what DAYS is like, sometimes -- Craig would reveal he's just helping a young man learn how to read, or the two were just rehearsing lines for an upcoming production of "The Boys in the Band."

That's why I'd love to know what, if anything, PFS had planned for Sharon. Because, from what I have read, I couldn't begin to guess where she might've been going with that character.
