  1. Well, it's about damn time social media did something to censor that man! His quackpot ideas about handling the coronavirus were and are literally getting innocent people killed. I'm just sorry we now live in a time when we have to regard our commander-in-chief the same way we would a troll on SON.
  2. I wonder why you even pretend to give a damn.
  3. As a Black man, I am EXHAUSTED with how our state and local governments continue to ignore the issues. My fellow Black men and women stay getting murdered by law enforcement officers and/or mishandled by the (in)justice system, and hardly anyone gives a [!@#$%^&*]. They're all just hoping we'll die out (sooner, rather than later) so they can have their precious, all-white nation to themselves. They were too busy enjoying their Confederate flag sheet cake at Jennifer's trailer.
  4. Agree. As wonderful as Doug Marland's writing always was (IMO), Robert Calhoun gave his work on ATWT a certain energy that Laurence Caso never could.
  5. Why DID David Shaughnessy exit as EP, anyway? He seemed to get Y&R back on-track after some missteps during the tail end of the Kay Alden/Ed Scott era.
  6. But, like ol' man river, NCIS (and its' spinoffs) just keeps rollin' along.
  7. Did they ever solve the mystery of who really "murdered" Dixie? IIRC, Alexander Cambias, aka The Satin Slayer, insisted that killing someone with poisoned pancakes was too ghetto for him. Was he just misdirecting the police, or did they prove someone else "offed" Dixie and made it look like the SS's doing?
  8. They would have been better off bringing back Greg Rikkart as Kevin's twin or another character. Kevin had too much baggage to be remade into a sympathetic character.
  9. I think it was Megan McTavish? But, don't quote me on that, lol.
  10. I think it aired its' final episode earlier this year.
  11. AW always seemed to be caught in a tug-of-war between P&G and NBC, with neither entity really having the show's best interests at heart.
  12. Nah, it's always easy to spot John Whitesell and his thick head of hair, lol. I don't know whether he quit/retired or was fired, but I truly believe Bruce Barry's departure from the GL directing staff was the final, FINAL nail in the show's coffin. He was to GL what Larry Auerbach had been to LOVE OF LIFE (or Ira Cirker to AW, or David Pressman to OLTL); and if he had been there for the transition to Peapack, I think we might've had more GOOD episodes from that abysmal period than what we got.
  13. I could be wrong, but I think that's Bruce S. Barry, with John Whitesell standing to his right.
  14. If Obama were still president, he would receive (posthumously, of course) the Presidential Medal of Honor (or Freedom, or whatever is most appropriate under those circumstances). But, he isn't, and he won't.
  15. Maybe it's just me, but if Michael Corbett were to return to soaps, I hope it would be to play a character who wasn't psychotic or an out-and-out bastard.
  16. Okay, I get where they are coming from, but that's...going a bit far.
  17. Someone needs to alert the GOP. Their fembot has gone rogue.
  18. I love how the show delayed Phillip's discovery of his true parentage until he was that age. No way would today's soaps ask such patience from their audiences.
  19. IKR? I'm not a fan of either actor, but even I know Will Estes would've been a much better recast than JY.
  20. I wish the show had just done away with the whole "Oops! We lost the tape!" story (which smacked of "Tootsie," anyway) and simply announced they were doing a live episode for the first time in however many years. I also wish they had used the occasion to do something eye-catching -- a murder, a wedding, a birth, a revelation of some kind, SOMEthing -- that might've convinced the audience to keep watching, because, from what I remember, the actual episode was pretty ordinary.
  21. Unfortunately, such sights as those won't matter to those who still believe COVID-19 to be a hoax or something that's been blown out of proportion in order to scare folks/defeat Trump in the election. But, I agree, it needs to be done. In fact, as I've suggested elsewhere, if/when this is all over, there needs to be some sort of national memorial like the ones erected for the victims of 9/11.
  22. Janet Zarish's hairstyle is...tragic. I wish they hadn't phased out the bookstore. That seemed like such an interesting and workable locale. Who knows? As the years progressed, it could've been expanded into a bookstore/coffeehouse, when that trend started catching on.
  23. For sure, I'd love to see Marcia McCabe, Maree Cheatham, Lisa Peluso and Rod Arrants. But, I'd add to the list Lewis Arlt, John James, Michael Nouri, Cynthia Gibb, Morgan Fairchild, Courtney Simon, Millee Taggart, Matthew Ashford, Michael Corbett, David Forsyth (if he's healthy), Joel Higgins, Jeffrey Meek, Jacqueline Schulz, Gary Tomlin.... Yeah, I admit, it's a long list, lol.
  24. Frankly, I don't think PS likes anyone, lol. But, I think his resistance had more to do with the fact that an Ed/Nola union just seemed so incongruous. And it was. I mean, yes, I am a Quint/Nola fan, but not to the degree that I would be opposed to seeing Nola (or Quint) with anyone else. (Provided, it made sense. Which, IMO, Ed/Nola did not.)
  25. This was when she was still Niki Smith, right?
