  1. Was that the storyline where Maggie wrote a book while suffering from amnesia, and then forgot she wrote the book once she regained her memory (or something to that effect)?
  2. "I couldn't love you anymore or any less than I do at this moment, Will. I'm so proud to be your grandma. Now, let's go shopping for some blazers and pastel-colored jumpsuits!"
  3. Right-wing Conspiracy Theorists: "Obama is (still) running our government!" Left-wing [!@#$%^&*]-Stirring Me: "Oh. And that's bad, because...?"
  4. Agree. Between Dollar Bill and Liam, I feel like Bradley Bell has become B&B's number-one liability.
  5. IDK who you are, but you slay the hell outta me.
  6. Is the time jump even mentioned at all anymore? I feel like DAYS has quietly ignored it and moved everything back to the present time.
  7. Except it reminded everyone that OLTL once thought it was okay to recast a half-Asian character with a Caucasian actress in the first place.
  8. For [!@#$%^&*]'s sake. Thanks a million, BH/Liz fans who stamp their feet and throw major hissies every time GH threatens to write her off! Now your girl's a D.I.D. sufferer on top of being a rape victim. I hope you're happy!
  9. It's just a jump to the left! But seriously. I'm getting real sick and tired of soaps playing with time like this. Time jumps are antithetical to the nature of serialized storytelling, and they're a really lazy way to get yourself out of bad writing, too.
  10. nm
  11. Remember my new slogan for the NBC promo department? "It's DAYS. Just Go With It."
  12. Agree. Like I said upthread, Jill strikes me as the type who wouldn't make friends with other women, at least not easily. She'd have more of a kooky sidekick, like Erica had Opal, or DAYS' Anna had Calliope.
  13. Apparently, it's Esme's world now, and the rest of PC just lives in it.
  14. God, I hope so. And Ben and Ciara's baby is already gonna be switched with the baby that the aliens leave behind.
  15. I still say there's no big twist and Bradley Bell's just pulling an M. Night Shyamalan.
  16. LOL! In order for the return to self-contained episodes to have worked, both shows would have needed to scale everything down (or back down), make the characters less arch, and so forth. No longer could DALLAS or FALCON CREST do stories about corporate takeovers and criminal cartels. That would have been tough for audiences to accept, to say the least. On the other hand, if KNOTS LANDING had returned to their original format of self-contained episodes, with stories that are resolved (more or less) within sixty minutes, I think it could have worked, because the characters weren't quite as larger-than-life. For sure, David Jacobs would have been ecstatic about the prospect of maybe bringing the show back to his original, "Scenes from a Marriage"-like concept.
  17. Given that it all took place in San Diego, I'm surprised it wasn't a boat chase, lol.
  18. What I liked about JJ as Lucky - and what I STILL like about him - was that he wasn't your typical soap hunk. JJ has the looks and build of a "normal" person, which soaps used to be okay with, until they decided they weren't. You didn't need him to have great abs to make him an audience favorite. You just needed someone like Liz to fall in love with him and let the audience see why she fell in love with him so that they would fall in love with him, too. That's how it works, people. On the other hand, I've yet to find any reason why Lulu should have existed at all. They could have killed her off years ago and I wouldn't have shed a tear.
  19. I know of one man who would have loved it:
  20. IDK why, but the description or synopsis of that storyline has me laughing SO hard, lol.
  21. To me, it just feels like more of the same.
