  1. Thank you @VanessaReardon once again. Always interesting to see the ups and downs, back in the day. How one week, the top rated soap is above a 10.0, yet there was a week where the No. 1 soap was only in the 7's, with everyone down across the board as well. It'd be interesting to know the reason, such as a day-long preemption that last lasted several days. During this time, looks like OLTL wasn't benefiting as much being sandwiched in between AMC and GH. Damn, that's a quick and unfair decline for Ryan's Hope. I'm guessing this is the same sort of thing that happened to Edge of Night back in '75 when they switched it from 4:30 to 2:30. And as previously discussed, it's funny as a long time soap fan and numbers nerd to have that "shocking" revelation that during GL's 3 weeks being "number one" in August 1984, they were just No. 1 in their timeslot beating GH, but Y&R was still the top show overall. Funny how that was reported incorrectly for years. I, too, have some old SOD's where they specifically mention in GL's timeline that they hit No. 1 in the ratings during that timeframe. Liars!
  2. Girl. Stick to the topic. It was just a random point of reference.
  3. Well now you do.
  4. I seem to recall whisperings that the Trump team feared Kamala could be the next Obama... Lord knows she would wipe. the. floor. with him in debates. And he'd have a long, hard time coming up with a "catchy" nickname for her that wasn't racially sensitive. I'm still holding out hope for Kamala down the line. Whatever happens in the months ahead, I hope one of the underdogs, be it Kamala or Mayor Pete or even Klobachar (what is everyone's thoughts on Andrew Yang, BTW? DAYS' Martha Madison seems to love him on Twitter), turn out to run alongside as Vice President.
  5. Yeah, I'm ready for some ATL and Jersey girls. Good grief, Tamra and Braunwyn were too much. The people in that restaurant who agreed to be on camera surely had themselves a good time watching a trainwreck filmed in front of their eyes. Gina's stubbornness over not believing Emily is just dumb and reeks of producer interference ("We need conflict! Amp it up!"). Kelly was her usual slop mess. Vicki's sudden matronly pearl-clutching had me giggling because she's the queen of whooping it up, but it'd make more sense to whoop it up like that in a bar or private party versus a restaurant. Why the hell was Meagan there? As usual, she provided absolutely nothing even when trying to console Emily. If true, I'm glad to hear RHOBH is having a hard time filming something worthwhile. There's only so much patting of each other's pus that can be done.
  6. I have no problem wishing death upon someone (yikes, my karma's rotten ) and I've been hoping another triple monikered man would follow in the footsteps of John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald for the past three years. @Khan Coinciding with your analysis, the best thing for this country right now would be for anything (healthwise or otherwise) to wipe out Trump and Sanders, and may the best woman (or man, I guess) win against Prissypants Pence.
  7. Can someone refresh my aging memory and remind me when did Loving and Ryan's Hope switch timeslots? Shall be interesting to see the numbers going forward after the switch...
  8. This has been an interesting read.
  9. I wish she got more coverage. I'm still Team Kamala but realistically I see Elizabeth Warren as the woman going forward (not that I have any problem with that, just not my 1st choice)
  10. Compression pants / shorts were the best thing ever invented.
  11. If nothing else, I'd like to see Kelly's mama back onscreen because I love how she always looks like she just woke up from a super good nap. Hair disheveled in the back, looking happily bewildered... Damn, I miss afternoon naps. The audio quality was top notch. Did they use an older iPhone? I wonder whose bathroom they filmed that in? Impressive.
  12. I've always cheered for a Faye Resnick return. If she could be a regular "friend of," that'd be fun. Sadly, with no Camille or LVP this year, nor even one-season-wonder Katherine, it would lose some punch. Taylor I'd welcome back if she took an extended leave from life in Colorado. She was a grifter, but a harmless grifter, and her rags-to-riches-to-rags story was more genuine and interesting than any of these fake Dorit, Teddi, Erika robots.
  13. That always irked me. It's like, would you like me to schedule your next colorectal screening exam with a plumber? POTUS is the ultimate political position so OF COURSE you want someone with, you know, political expertise. Idiot family members...
  14. Agree 1000% which is why I really enjoyed the Roseanne reboot. Of course, all the hype was around the first episode and her pro-Trump stance but that was literally just one episode. And for someone to say they loved the original "Roseanne" but didn't watch to see Roseanne Barr is like saying you loved "The Nanny" except for Fran Drescher. Whether you like someone off-camera or not, you enjoyed the character portrayed onscreen. P.S. if that was Kathy, poor thing got dragged back to Lanford from Chicago once again! I guess Jerry can take back an extra couple inches of the bedsheet tonight.
  15. Ditto! Now I feel stupid. LOL I think if they had mentioned Roseanne it might've clicked.
  16. Sigh... they use that argument because they just don't understand the landscape and trajectory of television ratings, especially broadcast TV. Ignorance is bliss for them. It helps them prove their flimsy argument. These are the same people who will say This Is Us only has 8 million viewers now because Randall's daughter is a lesbian...
  17. Wow, didn't think we'd ever see Jesus Jugs again! Why not, for a visit. I forget who her scene is with... Emily? Random. Re: Sarah Paulson vs. LVP. Meh. Take it with a grain of salt. Not everyone can be "on" all the time. How many times did people ask Rosie O'Donnell if everything is alright during her 6-year talk show run, when people would see her and she didn't have her perpetual "TV Smile" look? I do like her NYC love though. Some time back, she said her all-time least favorite housewife was Kelly Bensimon. Good choice. Also, I'm in agreement that Jill should return. Side note: The same episode when Sarah said that, Andy also asked her who her celebrity crush was while growing up. Her answer was Brian Bloom, and Andy instantly remembered him as Dusty on As the World Turns. Housewives really is the modern-day soap opera for so many who grew up on them.
  18. I have a Celeste Perrault premonition that Bernie's own health (even death, dare I say?) will be his undoing in his goal for presidency. I mean, he's 78! If he became prez in 2021, that puts him there from age 79 to 83. And if it is God's will, 83 to 87. I don't think so. I'm not ageist, just realistic. Aside from Trump, Bernie and Biden should not be running. I want someone in office who isn't going to keel over if the wind blows too hard. And I want our next Democratic president to last for two full terms.
  19. Small victories celebrated, but Potomac's 3 reunion episodes stayed steady at 1.1+ million, versus falling out as the weeks progressed.
  20. Looks to be a big year for Cynthia. I'm glad they have this cast back (Kenya back, rif-raff gone). Let's see which personality Nene has this year...
  21. They mentioned Jerry in the first episode of the Roseanne reboot. Nothing about Andy ever.
  22. Glad to have another season of The Conners back. I wonder if they'll finally address where the hell Andy is. And perhaps a shout-out again about Jerry?
  23. Yes! All those juicy sound bytes "off camera" but still mic'ed up in between the reunion is going to make for a great S5, with all the women uncomfortable with filming with Michael. I'm glad Monique/Candaice both had their friendship falling out as this year's "thorn." I'm still Team Monique all the way and think Candaice is the one who needs to grow up, but there's hope for next year! Poor Juan, he's clearly skeeved out by his former buddy Mikey... I wish they had dove in a little more about the tea Candaice's hubby shared about another incident involving Michael butt grabbing. But I suppose they were all butt-grabbed out by the end of the night. Speaking of the ending, how funny that after spending the entire day doing the reunion, Karen and Ashley STILL had another go-around on the couch right before the toast? And that ended up being Karen's chosen "thorn" for the season. LOL She serves us blunt realness from beginning to end. He sounded Trumpian. Ignore his own misconduct, just focus on the overall integrity of the many, many messengers. He looked a fool, while lil miss Ashley is holding on for dear life to secure those alimony checks down the line. LOL I hope they come back next year. I gotta see them burn out one more season
  24. She gives good head? :::shrug::: dunno either
