Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed 100% Just their everyday goofball, zany, bickering is good enough for me. Another night of laughs on last night's eppy. I loved how Ramona and Bethenny bonded and opened up about their abusive childhood upbringings. It's pretty amazing that in their 10+ years of interaction, they've never really dived into that subject together. Those scenes juxtaposed with Luann, Tinsley, and Sonja over at that sad cabaret act was so perfect. Ramona was borderline about to short-circuit with memories of her mom and family, but she held it together and I appreciated Bethenny listening to her, instead of brushing her off. Sonja was drunk the whole evening and next week she gets fall-down messy boots, but I can't wait. That bickering between Dorinda and Ramona at the end of the episode was classic Dorinda and Ramona, but what had me rolling was at the end, when they BOTH diverted their ire towards Sonja when they deduced that she's the one who started it all with her pot-stirring. Hilarious!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Re: Potomac. I don't get the Katie love at all. Seeing her back reminds me of what I hated in Potomac's first season. There's just something that irks me to no end. It's like the lights are on but nobody's home but she left a mannequin at the window to make it seem like someone is. I'd rather we have Charrissee's sloppy ass as a "friend of" because her motives are clear as day. I was surprised at how they built up the Michael drama and then it left us hanging at the end with uncertainty, and next week's previews barely touched upon it. Weird. The New Orleans drama looks messy good though. Re: NYC Interesting to hear they've shortened the season and are dropping a lot of footage. NYC is fortunate enough to be interesting on its own, just watching the women in their daily lives without all the manufactured drama or endless group dinner parties. Whereas some (ATL, BH, OC) could use trimming and others (NJ, Potomac) benefit from shortened seasons, NYC is one I feel could be stretched without it getting stale. I guess we'll see how it shapes up :::shrug:::

Agreed. I watched GH during 2012-2013 when the "Llanview 3" came over, and from then on until around the Spring of 2013, show was really popping (admittedly, I was a sucker for all the OLTL cameos & references, as well as the Port Charles vampire throwback, references to Loving, etc.). His first year at DAYS improved the show, but there was still something lacking; something extra to make it really shine and it never achieved it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I understand not wanting to attend a day of attacks, but in the end, LVP's got the upper hand. A lie detector test to boot. The expression on Erika's face on WWHL at the clip was a visual version of reading of Trump's reaction to Mueller ("This is the end of my presidency. I'm f#cked"). Mind you, Erika isn't even the offender here -- that goes to Teddi, Dorit, and Kyle (and let's face it, Rinna was relishing in this before it went bad for her side). The fans are on LVP's side. The truth is on her side. Yeah, she'll get barked at (no pun intended) all day long, but in the end, no bites. They tried (again) and failed (again). Lisa Vanderpump will be exhausted at the end of the reunion day, but vindicated and can leave RHOBH on a high note, leaving the bitter hags to figure out who they'll attack next season, and how they will possibly make the show interesting without the Queen. Dorit and Teddi just need to go. I can't stand Teddi and I've never warmed to Dorito. What I find most irritating about BH this season, especially when you compare it to NYC and Potomac (my 2 current faves!!), is that the women are just so damn immature. Like, seeing even the likes of Camille etc. doing Twitter back 'n forth petty arguments, it's like, good grief, y'all are 50+ years old and look like total clowns in these public arguments. It's just not a cute look on them. NY and Potomac are giving me everything I need in these Housewives shows right now. Amidst the drama and arguing, there is so much laughing. Sonja is the comic MVP this season, Tinsley is finally coming into her own with this group (I loved her sideways unders against LuAnn last night when LuAnn and Bethenny started their argument), Ramona is her usual funny self without being too rude, LuAnn's getting too big for her britches but it's funny watching the other women react to her, Dorinda has softened from last year's low... it's just a good, fun, enjoyable season of NYC, IMO. Meanwhile, Potomac has evolved into this must-see show and I can't wait to see the Ashley/Michael chaos play out. EDIT: Hubby & I were surprised at how much we actually enjoyed Porsha's baby special for ATL. We thought it'd be boring or uneventful, but it was actually quite fun. I'll always give her side-eye for the Kandi/drugging lie, but she has rebounded into a funny gal with a half-brain, which is a half-brain more than I ever thought she had.

I laughed when they flashed back to "one minute ago" of their air-kiss greeting LOL

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm one and a half eppys behind on NYC. Now I'm intrigued. And didn't y'all say something sad happens at the end of last week's show? I liked the Potomac premiere. It's nice and fresh. I like how they began filming within weeks of the reunion show. I pretty much echo what everyone says. Monique the mom-to-be again was fab as always, Candiace had a very real and awkward moment with her mother (which I appreciate her bringing up on camera, even though the mama clearly didn't want to go there with the cameras rolling), The Grande Dame's hair is on point, I guess I'm happy for Robyn & Juan (but is Juan truly happy...?), and Ashley & Michael's foreplay scene reeked of damage control. Hell, they probably filmed that scene long after the butt-grab lawsuit.

That is such a wonderful example to use. Bravo. The real Betty or Meredith Baxter's Betty?

I wished the same for the Hortons. You know, it's tragic real-life moments that should serve as a re-set for a show that's lost its way with their tentpole families. Same could be done with Y&R's Neil currently. Similarly, I felt the same for GL when they celebrated their 70th anniversary in January 2007 with their special episode that reimagined their radio days and early black & white years; perfect opportunity to boost the Bauers back into relevancy.

Yes @jam6242 is correct, I think the stroke was in December '95. Off the top of my head, I can't remember if the Horton family was shown during that holiday season. I specifically remember the bulk of Salemites in Aremid that Christmas, with John giving that sad lil girl something to smile about

Yaaass!! So glad they revamped their opening. The taglines are mostly good. I would've thought they'd keep Ashley at the end. https://people.com/tv/real-housewives-of-potomac-season-4-taglines/ This whole post is made of win. LOL

MTV: RuPaul's Drag Race
Yeah, Brook Lynn Hytes definitely. And I can see Nina West slide into the top 3 inconspicuously. Agreed that Miss Vanjie is good for entertainment and commentary, but as a drag queen, so basic and unpolished. How many times must she wear a leotard? Side note: She was in town last weekend and I saw her performances online --- it was bad. She's lucky she has the personality to keep people entertained. I feel for Evie and her medical condition and hope she goes far. Meanwhile, Rerun from What's Happening is another that can be funny, but also thinks way too much of herself and her looks are basic. Snatch Game was a disappointment. Rerun Silky should've gone with an Oprah or Monique instead. Nina's was the best. It's rare when a queen chooses someone obscure to impersonate and it goes well. Jinkx Monsoon's Little Edie was the best.

MTV: RuPaul's Drag Race
In all honesty though, this is a bad crop of queens this year. I can only see one as a definite top 3; the rest I don't really have a stake in either way. When half the cast don't know anything about Mariah Carey, you know it's a bad year. I loved that Ru had the entire group lip sync for their lives because their performances "honoring" Mariah was atrocious.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed. I also agree with Cat that Erika does have likable qualities too, but she's believing her own hype. The fact that Rinna and housewives from other cities have a boner for her is obnoxious too. And yes, those cold angered outbursts are weird. It's like she gets triggered over a simple remark and goes after them like a dog in attack mode.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Amen. And in the meantime, I need more Grande Dame in those Potomac promos! Mmhmm... Erika would be nothing and nowhere without Daddy Warbucks' checkbook. Agreed on Portia, surprisingly. She gave me the giggles for all three parts. And her on-the-spot prayer was pretty solid. Ditto @Faulkner on LOLing at “Nooo. Not Claire’s. They closed” I actually don't mind Eva. I don't know if I necessarily understand her house-hopping, but I don't really care that much to question it. She's got a house, which is more than we could say about Sheree for years. Tanya is okay but she comes off as a little too thirsty/wannabe to me. Shamari's only highlight was watching her and Kandi as two lil' hens cackling on the end of the couch. Otherwise, bye... Then there's Nene..... yeah, she's got the star power and is the biggest face on the show, but geez, she vacuums all the air out of every room she walks into.

At this point, I wish there was a law preventing someone over the age of 70 to run in a presidential election or [re-election].

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Me too, Lois, me too (no pun intended...) Camille came off unhinged in last night's episode. I get she's been a victim of terrible lies in the press, but she can't put herself in the same category as Christine Blasey Ford. In order for me to maintain my overall appreciation for Miss Donatacci Grammer, I'm going to chalk it up to pre-wedding emotions mixed with overly inebriated. Kim AND Kathy at the same restaurant as the RHOBH ladies was funny. I *guess* I'll take it as an actual coincidence and not producer set-up since neither woman was mic'ed up. I actually liked Rinna last night, in scenes with her family unit. Her goofiness and interaction with her mom is endearing. I still don't think much of her daughters, though. Enjoy those birthday parties with your friends instead of your aging grandma; I'm sure she'll last another year... LVP continues to be interesting all on her own...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
She was never really *that* great. She uses cheap put-downs usually about fashion, someone's looks, or slut-shaming. What was with Nene's ugly comment about thirsty Tanya never owning a peach, and having a peach in Nene's p*ssy? I forget the context, but it was weird.

Agreed. Team Kamala. I don't think Biden's "scandal" will continue as the months progress, cuz all one has to do is compare it to the sexual assault claims against Trumpilstiltsken and the infamous Access Hollywood tape, and then ask, "which one is pervier?" Re: Bernie. Anything that chips away at his base is fine by me. There's quite a list growing of Democratic possibilities that I'd choose any day over him.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHONY had me in giggles again. From Ramona to Sonja to everyone else, NY gives me drama but also plenty of laughs. It's not heavy like Beverly Hills. Wow, that Morgan house really triggered Sonja. That and lots of booze after taking a long break from drinking spells disaster for Lady Morgan. I watched some of Bethenny's live instagram postings back when they filmed, and it looks like a hilarious shi_storm of drunken buffoonery. Looks like Bravo will be airing some of their personal footage as well! Dorinda definitely cleaned up her image this episode and I'm glad she and LuAnn had that heartfelt moment, even though I have a feeling Lu *wants* to hold onto a grudge longer. Dorinda did her part, now it's time for The Countess to do hers... Three years in, and I'm finally genuinely enjoying Tinsley. I like that she sees herself as the baby sister who does all their bidding because, well, she is! It shall be "interesting" next week to see Bethenny go in on Tinsley's relationship with Scott, once again focusing with such intensity on another person's relationship and expressing all these words of wisdom as if she's an expert. "Do as I say, not as I do" is her mantra in that subject. These days, I like Bethenny but I can only handle her in small doses. Ugh at Barbara piggybacking off the infamous shark room drama. LOL at Ramona's digs at her... her shoes at the pool, the belly-revealing top, Barbara thinking she should sit at the head of the dinner table... LOL Ramona just cracks me up. I love when they show snippets of her and LuAnn together like they did last night, because you can tell they have an affection for one another as the OG's of the series who've been there every single year. RHOBH I echo what everyone has said... I didn't care for Camille's dig against LVP but appreciate the apology... I loved LVP on WWHL and it's so clear she had other things on her mind instead of keeping some dumb "puppygate" story alive. She was done with it after her and Ken's dinner with PK and Dorit... I also noticed Rinna pulling back on the LVP talk, as if she's seen the light that their story is flimsy... I'm gonna take Rinna's apology and explanation at face value regarding the pills-on-the-cupcake photo she sent to LVP for her birthday... If that quick flash at the end is any indication, is next week the return of Rambles Richards? RHOA I hope they don't boot Cynthia. She's the calm in a sea of chaos. She may never be the *star* of the series, but she helps bridge the gap between a lot of the women, and she can stand fine on her own without a bff crutch like Nene or Kenya around (though I'm hoping for a Kenya return).

I've stayed out of this thread for awhile for the sake of my sanity, but just wondering what people's thoughts were on Kamala Harris? I really dig her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I consider Dale to be like Kathy's Rosie on RHONJ. Dale makes Tinsley more interesting just as Rosie provided humor and wit for bland Kathy. I love having Dale there And yes, LOL to Ramona's tunnel vision not seeing her off to the side. It was another fabulous episode but LuAnn sure made an ass of herself getting all worked up about the shark room. Dorinda tried her hardest to accommodate Lu, and Lu was taking too much joy in asking for the moon and stars, but went all bonkers over a damn room. Next week with Sonja crying "you don't touch the Morgan ladder!" LOL Omg, she is delivering this season. Ahhhh! Where at? Re: ATL... That was my feeling about Atlanta regarding everyone but Nene. There was light shade but lots of laughs amongst Kandi, Porsha, Cynthia, Eva and Shemari. I got the giggles a lot of the time. I can't believe I'm saying this after all these years, but Porsha is finally one of my favorites. Marriage, pregnancy, and not being a THOT finally has me loving her. And she's just funny now without be catty. Her and Kandi are the MVP's last night, IMO. And then there was Nene, the large angry elephant of the room, determined to suck the air out of every moment. If there's one take away from last night's reunion, it's that the 5 other women they currently have (along with a couple others) are doing well and they don't need Negative Nancy Nene anymore. What a f*cking buzzkill.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That's what's the problem with Beverly Hills now: 71% of the main cast is just unlikable now. The only castmember with an interesting life all on her own is LVP. And as a newbie who isn't caught up in the petty drama, Denise Richards is also refreshing. The other 5 are sea hags trying to be Ursula. Last night's ending was juicy and delicious and I look forward to the fallout. But the episode also perfectly illustrated how pathetic these 5 women are, cackling about something petty and no doubt planted by one of them (I'd say Kyle or Rinna, because Rinna is so thirsty to attack LVP and she has a long history with paparazzi and rags, as adorably shown at Denise's wedding), while on the other side of town, LVP is doing so fabulously on her own, creating actual change in Congress, actually getting shi* done while the others stay stewing in fluff and mediocrity. It was a perfect juxtaposition of jealous hags vs. an actual boss bitch.

I fourth that! @Cheap21 Love dishing with all you guys and this is always the first thread I check out. Once I got into the Housewives (first episode I ever saw was Nene's "You have done me WRONG as your wife!"), I was so glad to find a thread dedicated to them here. I had otherwise gotten pretty quiet in soapland.
