Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yes. I can't believe I forgot to add Kelly Dodd to the Messiest Housewife (In A Bad Way) list. Brandi & Kelly cackling together on WWHL was a display of pure gutter trash at its dirtiest. Oh and a big YES to Tamra's much needed comeuppance. Kelly said she's going to go hard on her at the reunion and Andy looked a little terrified (but more like terrified in a "ouch this might hurt but I'll like it" kind of way) I was liking Braunwyn, but she becomes a blubbering mess way too easily. Braunwyn and Kim Fields are better suited for New York Season 1 circa 2008 calmness, where the only drama was Simon coming to an "all girls dinner." Ah yes. Nicole. Thank you. Everyone here watch the WWHL interview with Joe and Teresa? Good grief, that was awkward. It's clear the two of them have already separated and made plans for the future without each other and will have a family meeting in Italy to make it all official with the girls. They slipped so many times in their interview, what with Joe admitting to encouraging Teresa to go after rich older men instead of young hotties with tight bodies. At least Tre finally admitted publicly that she believes/knows Joe cheated on her all these years, or at least while Tre was in prison...

The more categories, the better! Ugh, I forgot Jacqueline made an official return the year Dolores and Soggy joined. Ugh. Never come back. I can do without Phaedra but totally agree with the others. Isn't it funny how Taylor Armstrong's image has been making the social media rounds these days? This one's funny: https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/rhobh-taylor-armstrong-is-here-for-the-woman-yelling-at-cats-meme-but-still-doesnt-hilariously-understand-it.html/

Ditto Chicago (WLS, the birthplace of Oprah, haha). It aired at 11am through the end, and then their 11:30 news became a full hour before AMC.

The Preemption/Out of Pattern Thread
A lot of affiliates dropped Port Charles or aired it in late night for its final 3-4 weeks since the new daytime season began around the second week of September but PC aired until October 3rd. Didn't like half of all markets throughout the country drop Edge Of Night by the time it ended in December '84? I think I read a lot of affiliates dropped it around September '84. Question: For anyone familiar with Mountain Time Zone, when did they air their soap schedules? I remember over two decades ago visiting family in the northwest corner of Iowa and they got signals from stations in Sioux Falls South Dakota, and they advertised Bold and Beautiful coming on at 11:30am, which leads me to think their soap block would be 10:30am to 2pm? Or perhaps that particular affiliate aired B&B before Y&R.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Next week, we're back in the thick of Housewives overload with the return of Atlanta and New Jersey! Thank goodness... OC is hit or miss and I don't watch Dallas. In the meantime, how about a revisit of Housewives past and present with our own "Bravo TV Housewives Awards" with a Soap Opera Digest Best & Worst flair to them... *****Please add in your own thoughts and add in more categories***** Non-OG That's Made the Biggest Impact To Their City: Sonya and Dorinda - NYC Kandi, Phaedra, Kenya, Porsha - ATL (side note: minus Porsha's first season. Had she stayed married to Kordell, she'd have been a one-and-done) Tamra, Shannon - OC Melissa (ugh) - NJ Brandi (ugh), Lisa Rinna, Erika - BH Best One Hit Wonder: Lizzie - OC Kathryn - BH (there was potential, especially if they had brought her back to fill in losing Eileen) Worst One Hit Wonder: The Twins - NJ (I honestly can't remember both their names... one was Teresa, Part II) Carlton a.k.a. Witchy-Poo - BH Kim Fields - ATL (in theory, it sounded like a good casting coup, but she just wasn't cut out for this type of show) Best Return: Nene Leakes to Atlanta Bethenny Frankel to New York Most Disappointing Return: Lydia to OC Dina to NJ Most Ironic Taglines: ATL's Claudia: "Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful. Hate me because I'm here to stay..." ..... she lasted only one season. ATL's Sheree: "Don't Call it a Comeback. Call it a takeover." Although she stirred the pot, overall, her comeback fizzled out at the end... Messiest Housewives (In A Good Way): Sonja, NYC Gizelle, POTOMAC Messiest Housewives (In A Bad Way): Lisa Rinna, BH Dorit, BH Most Missed Housewives: thoughts? I wanna hear yours Don't EVER Return Again Housewives: Kim Zolciak, ATL Jacqueline Laurita, NJ Worst Sham of a Marriage: Teresa and Joe, New Jersey Erika and Tom, Beverly Hills Most Improved Show: Real Housewives of Potomac Most Disappointing Show: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Best Show: Real Housewives of New York City

Yowsers, the top half all slipped this week, and Another World is only 0.2 away from ATWT. They actually come off as a strong contender here.

Yes, let's see her revive her burgeoning modeling career...- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Not at all, I felt the same way, as I do with New York. NYC and Potomac have dynamite casts that feed off each other so well. I suppose it is necessary to keep things moving forward. Newbie will surely come in handy while the rest of the cast ices Candiace out.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Side note: Charrisse got dumped again 😂 I’m glad to hear they’re Team Monique and are seeing the light about Candiace.- Ratings from the 80's
Great recollection. Thanks for that- Ratings from the 80's
Thank you @VanessaReardon once again. Always interesting to see the ups and downs, back in the day. How one week, the top rated soap is above a 10.0, yet there was a week where the No. 1 soap was only in the 7's, with everyone down across the board as well. It'd be interesting to know the reason, such as a day-long preemption that last lasted several days. During this time, looks like OLTL wasn't benefiting as much being sandwiched in between AMC and GH. Damn, that's a quick and unfair decline for Ryan's Hope. I'm guessing this is the same sort of thing that happened to Edge of Night back in '75 when they switched it from 4:30 to 2:30. And as previously discussed, it's funny as a long time soap fan and numbers nerd to have that "shocking" revelation that during GL's 3 weeks being "number one" in August 1984, they were just No. 1 in their timeslot beating GH, but Y&R was still the top show overall. Funny how that was reported incorrectly for years. I, too, have some old SOD's where they specifically mention in GL's timeline that they hit No. 1 in the ratings during that timeframe. I seem to recall whisperings that the Trump team feared Kamala could be the next Obama... Lord knows she would wipe. the. floor. with him in debates. And he'd have a long, hard time coming up with a "catchy" nickname for her that wasn't racially sensitive. I'm still holding out hope for Kamala down the line. Whatever happens in the months ahead, I hope one of the underdogs, be it Kamala or Mayor Pete or even Klobachar (what is everyone's thoughts on Andrew Yang, BTW? DAYS' Martha Madison seems to love him on Twitter), turn out to run alongside as Vice President.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, I'm ready for some ATL and Jersey girls. Good grief, Tamra and Braunwyn were too much. The people in that restaurant who agreed to be on camera surely had themselves a good time watching a trainwreck filmed in front of their eyes. Gina's stubbornness over not believing Emily is just dumb and reeks of producer interference ("We need conflict! Amp it up!"). Kelly was her usual slop mess. Vicki's sudden matronly pearl-clutching had me giggling because she's the queen of whooping it up, but it'd make more sense to whoop it up like that in a bar or private party versus a restaurant. Why the hell was Meagan there? As usual, she provided absolutely nothing even when trying to console Emily. If true, I'm glad to hear RHOBH is having a hard time filming something worthwhile. There's only so much patting of each other's pus that can be done.- Ratings from the 80's

I have no problem wishing death upon someone (yikes, my karma's rotten ) and I've been hoping another triple monikered man would follow in the footsteps of John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald for the past three years. @Khan Coinciding with your analysis, the best thing for this country right now would be for anything (healthwise or otherwise) to wipe out Trump and Sanders, and may the best woman (or man, I guess) win against Prissypants Pence.- Ratings from the 80's
Can someone refresh my aging memory and remind me when did Loving and Ryan's Hope switch timeslots? Shall be interesting to see the numbers going forward after the switch...- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

I wish she got more coverage. I'm still Team Kamala but realistically I see Elizabeth Warren as the woman going forward (not that I have any problem with that, just not my 1st choice)- Daily Hotness
