  1. Sad news. Lynn Loring's family has announced that she died on December 23.
  2. Stephen Schnetzer mentioned on The Locher Room that he is going to film a few episodes on Days as Steven Olson (Julie's brother). Around 11 minutes in.
  3. Jennifer Leak's obituary. https://www.easthamptonstar.com/obituaries/2024328/jennifer-leak-dauria
  4. Sorry @vetsoapfan, didn't mean to quote you when I posted this. Don't know how that happened.
  5. No luck with Leona Powers, other than a 1959 letter from a viewer asking whether she played Mrs. Allen on GL. The newspaper columnist didn't know the answer.
  6. I'm now wondering whether AnnaLynne McCord is a recast for Nicole. She started working around the time Ari's contract was up.
  7. Obituary from The New York Times. Susan is quoted regarding the final scenes she and Bill taped together. 'He and his wife taped their final scene together on “Days of our Lives" just weeks before he died. “The last scene I got to play with him is about how much we love each other,” Ms. Seaforth-Hayes said in a phone interview, “and I was blessed with an opportunity to hover over the words ‘Have I ever told you how much I love you?’ And Doug answers, ‘No, you never did.’ That was something Billy and I would say frequently in life.”' https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/25/arts/television/bill-hayes-dead.html?unlocked_article_code=1.QU0.mC2C.HtGyE8ywThpW&smid=url-share
  8. Came across a reel that Paul Tinder had posted on Vimeo. There is a scene at the beginning with Neil and Liz regarding their daughter Noelle's diabetes. The last scene appears to be from 1977 or 1978, when skeevy Neil was coming on to his receptionist, Betty Worth (Jenny Sherman), in her apartment. That scene starts around 12:05.
  9. She really doesn't. She was a favorite when I was young and I still listen to her music.
  10. Mark Pinter, who didn't work with him on Days, but did some theater with him, I believe.
  11. Patty Weaver (Trish Clayton) and Martha Nix (Janice Barnes) responded to Wesley Eure's post. From Maree Cheatham's FB account. From Jean Bruce Scott's (Jessica Blake Fallon) FB account. Former headwriter Anne Schoettle, from Instagram. Anne's husband and sometimes director at Days, David Shaughnessy (Charles' brother).
  12. It may be. He told the same story when Bill received the Lifetime Achievement Emmy.
  13. Bill lived a full life but I'm still sad to read the news. It's hard to imagine Susan without him. She was devoted to him.
  14. Here's a review of Thanks for Tomorrow, from July 1949, Variety.
  15. @DRW50 I think Link left ATWT in 1969. Peter Galman replaced him, and then C. David Colson. I can't remember whether Jody had an exit story either. I think both he and Liz just disappeared. Must not have been a significant goodbye, if I forgot it that fast, lol.
  16. C.C. is not in this clip. His replacement Barry Bostwick is though. I think that's Peter Link (Tom Hughes, ATWT) in the striped pants. C.C. did an acoustic version of the song on The Doctors.
  17. Thanks for tagging me @DRW50
