  1. I believe April 1982 is when DAYS transitioned from Pat Falken Smith to Depriest/Sheri Anderson. I assume the show was already showing signs of improvement under Falken Smith.
  2. Yeah this really bothered me as well..
  3. I think the show intentionally tries to avoid any connection Taggart(they clearly have not been invested with him at all this time around) has with Trina, so mentioning Gia would hinder that.
  4. Very true. I've always thought there was a need to add a psychiatrist to the group of Matt/Maggie/Steve/Carolee.
  5. Edge is really the little engine that could.....Doctors audience has been cut in half, and it's sad seeing it die out at the bottom of the pack, especially since I honestly don't see a need for the creation of Texas.
  6. I've always believed end of 2002/start of 2003 was a turning point for the show, and had any other writer followed Taggart/Culliton's plans we would've seen a much more rejuvenated GL in '03 especially regarding the Spaulding's. The Spaulding drama with Alex vs Alan, I can't help but to believe that Taggart/Culliton were planning on bringing back A-M to battle it out for Spaulding (perhaps siding with Alan since Phillip was no longer the favored son). I also recall a brief discussion about Blake wanting to get in the heat of things by wanting to jump back into the corporate world at Spaulding. There was also some of those threads previously set up during the Ex-Wives club such as Alex blackmailing Mindy, that may have been picked up again in the following year. However Conboy/Weston totally squandered all of that. The show would get another chance when Kreizman/Wheeler first start out, and with the Roger Thorpe death storyline, but again, much of the potential is wasted.
  7. I think Doris Quinlan was the right producer for DOCTORS at the time in 79/80, but Ralph Ellis and Eugenie Hunt were the wrong writers to execute ideas that she clearly wanted to implement into the show. Quinlan was right to have wanted someone a strong writer like Lemay. Such wasted potential, bc the 3's company idea is a interesting idea IMO.
  8. And before DAYS, didn't Alarr work on Port Charles?
  9. I'm pretty sure she gave Wendy Moinz's Dinah a few good slaps too.
  10. Simply put the show has gotten it wrong with so many storylines and couplings. I agree about Jai and Laurel; it's void of any chemistry. So are Wendy and the doctor. The show needs a team with a long term vision, and ones that are capable telling which actors have chemistry, and which ones don't have it on screen.
  11. That's....very disappointing 😂
  12. Interesting, is it still RC's material airing or scab writers? lol Legit question not trying to make fun or Ron this time.
  13. Rest Easy Sinead 😢
  14. The environment on the DAYS set sounds horrible. Ken will definitely have to take the reigns, who knows, bring back Greg Meng or even Gary Tomlin.
  15. Impressive numbers for Guiding Light
  16. I've become so desensitized to gun violence on this show sheessh
  17. Thank you so much!!
  18. I had hoped to be able to make sense of some of the revolving door or writers/producers after 1980, in addition, seeing the the opening with The Doctors (the closing theme is beautiful) in green lettering; doesn't appear we will get to that point unfortunately.
  19. Eh they should've went with Chance and Summer instead.
  20. Loveddd her as Tawny on B&B. Some of my fondest memories as a preteen were Tawny and Amber's schemes.
  21. The Dimitri story does feel like a repeat of the Craig story. Smh.
  22. Oh my goodness. Andrea had just a presence on screen that you thought she'd live forever. Simply timeless. I'm shocked. This just like Lisa Brown's passing comes as a shock.
  23. True Simon sucked as a character. I will say I would've accepted him as a totally different character, probably a character connected to GL's rich history. But yes, Simon, and Jesse were duds.
