Quality Slumps Druing Strong Periods
Right. If anything, I definitely think it would've eventually led up to a Clyde Weston murder mystery (again like Curtis), and Kate being one of the suspects. Oh well, just another one to add to the massive list of dropped stories on DAYS.

Quality Slumps Druing Strong Periods
It seriously seemed like Jordan/Ben/Clyde were going to be a Austin/Billie/Curtis redux under Tomlin, but Jordan/Ben/Clyde intentions changed each writer that followed.

Days possible bts spoiler
So it's just going to be a male cast only? LOL Appears that way, and wouldn't put it past Ron 😂

Good news, but can we give Ron the pink slip before the 60th anniversary? 😩

General Hospital: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Its funny how the show decided to go this route with Nicholas's exit, instead of simply having him go to jail for Hayden's shooting (which will never be resolved). The show could have had some meaty scenes between Spencer and Nik before he was shipped off.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Ron is trying to pull a "Xander" with the character of Li. He thinks he can find success a 3rd, 4th, time (seeing as how he's down this type of thing with other campy/psycho villains).

The tone of your favorites soaps
AW: I never got the feeling this was much of a family oriented soap (Though I started watching around 92/93), but more about those who come into your life friends/lovers, become your family. It was more about friends and romance than family. Felicia/Cass, Ryan/Frankie, Rachel/Felicia etc. etc. Guiding Light: Also started watching around 92/93, the show was down to earth and about community, family, and friendships. Warmth was the tone of the show. Y&R: Cold. Sharp. Thrilling. Dark. Witty. Lush set designs and score. B&B: Light. Flashy. Scandalous. When Sheila was wreaking havoc in the mid 90s, it could also be dark. DAYS: In the 90s was more of a longgggg drawn out romance novel. Later in the 90s it was more of romance mixed in with comedy.

Y&R Fires Entire Breakdown Writing Staff
Sure reorganize/restructure the writing team if you may. Honestly I would love to see the likes of Slater end up at DAYS (which probably impossible). But being a Executive Producer/Head Writer/Breakdown writer? And you aren't even capable of being a half the writer that Bill Bell or Harding Lemay were? 😂 This is going to end badly.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I'm interested in this flash forward, however the lead up to it is the least of my concern, what about after Christimas 2023? I really do think the show will lose steam or seemingly meander in trying to properly play all the proper beats once it's revealed who was killed. We'll spend all of 2023 working up to the murder mystery, and then spend all 2024 playing the aftershock of the murder? Yikes.

Good & Bad Paternity/Maternity Reveals & Changes
GL: The Great: Amanda is the daughter of Alan and Jane Marie Stafford. The Good: Dylan is Billy and Reva's son. I really liked Pam Long's second tenure on the show, and the team of writers at the time made sure to hit all the right beats with this one. The Worst: Amanda is not Alan's daughter, but his sister.

What was it like to be around during the glory days of soaps? (Pre-2000's)
DAYS has tried to do this at times, with Victor's butler Henderson and Anne Milbauer stirring the pot at the hospital, it was a half @$$ attempt, but an attempt no less in the last few years/decade compared to other shows.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I think under Curlee/Demorest, Hart was used more as someone who could propel characters such as Roger and Blake in certain directions. Blake no longer being her daddy's sole child, whose approval he often sought and which she would use to her advantage, and Roger constantly trying to prove himself to Hart that he could be a decent human. It became more apparent Hart had a short shelf life when MZ and SS departed and with the constant recasts and revolving door of writers. I recall there being a scene between Reva and some of the natives of SC back in 1999, who were black. From that point on, most of the extras for the SC scenes were white. Typical Paul Rauch MO.
