So trying to get the timeline right, Harding Lemary returned to AW and then the writers strike happened, and then Donna Swajeski took over after the strike?

It's incredible how Clyde is responsible for the death of one of the show's legacy characters(Abby), and before the recast, he also was responsible for EJ's "death". The show just keeps bringing him back, and it really doesn't seem like his character gets punished.

Someone pointed out on DS whether Lauren this time will simply be an extension of the Beale family, or if they will focus on her Branning roots. With the way the writing is these days, I'm leaning towards more of an extension of the Beale drama.

Kim is still around they had just wrapped up her PTSD storyline from when she crashed her car in the square. I think it was wrapped up before the start of August. All I can say is is there is a nice treat for fans of Fatboy towards the end of August. 🤐

GL: Garden of Eden Murders once it was revealed that Ben was a serial killer, and Marty West's Shayne got with Marina. 🤢 I was already half there with Alex being turned into a drugging, gaslighting, stalking, mustache twirling villain, that just sealed the deal for me. Thank you ConWest.

GL slowly sinking to where it will be in the ratings for the remainder of it's run.

Looking back, I've underestimated what a phenomenon AMC was back in the 80s. I'd say it's more consistent ratings wise compared to any other soap on ABC at the time, that includes GH.

Guiding Light; some of my earliest memories of this show will be the Springfield black out and David Grant going on the run. Such a exceptional time period for the show, felt like I could relate to so many characters on the canvas at the time. DAYS: First Carly buried alive, and second it was the possession storyline/Sami's schemes that sealed the deal. OLTL: Didn't become a permanent fan until Tomlin/Whitesell/Broderick, with the reveal that Natalie and Jess were twins, Al/Jenn scheming, and the LIVE show. Some of it were gimmicks, but it drew me in, and the stories had a bit of heart to them.

It was revealed that his father had raped him as a child.

Congrats to EastEnders on taking a sweep of the NTAs, including Best Serial Drama. 🤗
