  1. One show's loss(B&B), is another show's gain! Welcome back Rena!
  2. Looking back, I've underestimated what a phenomenon AMC was back in the 80s. I'd say it's more consistent ratings wise compared to any other soap on ABC at the time, that includes GH.
  3. Guiding Light; some of my earliest memories of this show will be the Springfield black out and David Grant going on the run. Such a exceptional time period for the show, felt like I could relate to so many characters on the canvas at the time. DAYS: First Carly buried alive, and second it was the possession storyline/Sami's schemes that sealed the deal. OLTL: Didn't become a permanent fan until Tomlin/Whitesell/Broderick, with the reveal that Natalie and Jess were twins, Al/Jenn scheming, and the LIVE show. Some of it were gimmicks, but it drew me in, and the stories had a bit of heart to them.
  4. It was revealed that his father had raped him as a child.
  5. Congrats to EastEnders on taking a sweep of the NTAs, including Best Serial Drama. 🤗
  6. So that's Rhona, Victoria, and now Lydia in a short time period. Found the first two too disturbing to watch, yeah not even going to bother with this recent rehash. The show needs a change, and FAST.
  7. Total embarrassment of riches not getting DA to return to DAYS, and instead going to AW.
  8. Looks like General Hospital's loss was Guiding Light's gain in the spring of '84.
  9. Giving Jeff Ryder more of a say in the direction of stories, was a big mistake. If they couldn't find anyone to share the HW duties with Pam Long, they should've let her be solo IMO.
  10. I actually do like Anna, and I think Molly isn't as bad as she could be. Her character is a bright spot on the canvas too. Gina, I'm always torn. The actress was strong in her scenes with Cindy, but I don't think she does subtlety very well, especially where her character is spiraling out of control at Peggy's.
  11. The sooner whatshisface stuff stops airing the better, because this just reeks of him. [redacted former co-executive producer]
  12. GL and Y&R tied for second nice.
  13. Why bring on Blair as played by KDP, when you have both RH and ME playing different characters SMH. Even more confusing with RH playing Austin....
  14. As much as I detest Chloe, it's so lame how British soaps(Corrie, Emmerdale, heck even EE) love doing stories where the parent of a child dies, and the child gets taken care of by the couple TPTB want us to root for. 🙄
  15. Nice bump for GL. 🥳
  16. The way DAYS rushes through plot points, it's not surprising lol
  17. Don't want to offend any fans of OLTL, as it is one of my fav soaps as well, but looking at these ratings you can see how it obtained that title as the redhead step child of ABC.
  18. Don't give him any ideas...he probably doesn't even know who Chase is.
  19. Jason reminds me alot of Peter Reckell post-2000s.
  20. Thank you Jesus! https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emmerdale/a44875702/emmerdale-executive-producer-jane-hudson-leaves/
  21. Makes me miss the days of when Ed Scott produced the show. Sigh
  22. It's so crazy seeing the entire NBC Daytime line up at the bottom, with the exception of EDGE and Capitol. DAYS is showing growth though, but not as impactful.
  23. I wonder if this is after Marland's departure and the revolving door of writers that followed... Nvm, thanks for the info on Doug's departure kalbir.
