Potential Craig Recasts ATWT

Featured Replies

Oh how I wish Hunt Block would return to ATWT but since that doesn't seem to be a possibility and that the character of Craig is really needed on the canvas, here are a few suggestions for a possible recast.

Matthew Ashford ( Jack DAYS) Great actor, great comedic timing

Grant Alexander (ex Phillip Guiding Light) Great range, can play leading man and vilain

Mark Pinter ( ex Grant AW ) Barbara's real life hubby, great actor + would be great with Babs scene

Charles Grant (ex Grant B&B) Very debonair....would have chemistry with ATWT leading ladies

Roscoe Born (ex Terrible Tom Y&R) Great turn on Y&R that ended too quickly

John Callahan ( ex Edmund AMC ) Great actor, great wit and charm

What do you think ?????

If they go this route (and with Jen's death, it seems like a certainty at some point in the future) they need to land someone that's a heavy hitter. Scott Bryce apparently isn't interested, and I doubt Hunt Block would be either. Paul Slatterfield would have been a disaster, if the rumor ATWT showed interest in him was true.

I don't think Aleksander is interested in acting right now; Callahan is supposed to have a recurring spot on DH this fall. Pinter would be a good choice, and has a history with P&G. Charles Grant never impressed me with his acting; Roscoe Born might be too fresh in CBS viewers minds as Terrible Tom. Matt Ashford I've never seen, but I'd be skeptical of his ability to be ruthless.

My only suggestion is David Andrew MacDonald, who played Edmund on GL. He was screwed over by the writing, but he played menacing to the hilt. I think he's got some of the same dry wit Block gave Craig as well.

Totally agree!

Hunt Block is the only Craig now.I was a Scott Bryce fan.

Of the names listed,I could possibly go for Grant.

Roscoe Borne and Mark Pinter were on ATWT before, and Pinter had a memorable role so that would be too weird for me.

I think she show should hold out for Scott Bryce. No idea what happened with Hunt but it's obvious something did and he's never coming back.

IMO, unless he has Michael Nader around to prop him up, John Callahan is a lifeless actor.

Trust me, it's there in spades!!

David Andrew Macdonald [ex-Edmund] on Guiding Light. B)

The guy who played Max on OLTL. He'd fit right in there with the sarcastic one liners to BarBar and gang.

I know it wouldn't work because he was on there and died on there, but Tom Eplin. I so miss him on soaps. I could also see Grant Aleksander but that isn't happening either.

Of course, Hunt Block is the one I would want to see first.
