This is EXACTLY why Dani is the way she is. No consequences ever from her parents.

Everyone kisses Dani’s ass and excuses her bad behavior. We’re supposed to root for her, but there’s nothing rootable there to begin with.

Weirdly, though, Trisha Mann-Grant‘s acting makes us want to root for Dana. An actress that’s able to play against the material and elevate it.

I find Dani rootable. I can't fault her for what Anita just did; She didn't ask for the help.

Today’s episode has been great. Finally we get to see the high society side of the show and the rule the Dupree’s have over it.

Yep. I was very engaged.

She's not wrong

I feel like from a writing stand point that is a miss. In real life she likely would just call her Aunt Dani. Soaps tend to be very literal with the whole "step" sibling or "half" sibling but I've never seen people talk like that in real life.

I quite liked today’s episode. Love how this show writes its father-daughter relationships; Naomi/Bill, Samantha/Martin, even Vernon/Dani. Very complex character driven stuff.

In fictional crime dramas, behavioral analysis, fbi most wanted, etc etc,
(not a source of accuracy, but whatever), I have learned that the criminal's behavior is ramped up when a recent event triggers a memory of an old event, just as you suggested.

Yes, trigger is the most apt word!!! Absolutely on point!

Ambyr should be really be the star. She’s radiant.

Gorgeous.

So if they're filming episode 100 today, it would mean filming is about 3 months ahead. Episode 100 should air sometime in mid-July if there's no major preemptions.

Yeeeeah, today was the first time I wasn't feeling Anita. It's clear they've been cleaning up their kids' messes for years, allowing no consequences for their poor behaviors.  I don't love that.

Otherwise, still a great week so far.  Looking forward to tomorrow!

It was wrong for the charity to use Dani do to the work for the fundraiser and then kick her off the board. They could have kicked her off before that and I'm glad that Anita tanked that charity.

Hayley's reads are so Hooked On Phonics because she really isn't an injured party because she started the whole mess. And today her and Bill chose to approach Dani when she wasn't even bothering them.

I wonder about Bill - maybe it was random that he chose to take Hayley to the country club for lunch today.
Or did he hear through the grapevine that Dani was being removed from the board today, and he arranged for Hayley to witness it?
Or did Bill intentionally blackmail/bribe/push the lady to remove Dani from the board?

  • Dani? Fired? Well, well, well... I can promise a revisit to her love of vodka will come.
  • Ugh, Deadbeat is so cold. Bradley and the children deserve far better. They really do.
  • Uh-oh, Taylor is going to receive a lashing somehow. But good on Taylor for treating gutter trash as it should be.
  • Hannah lashing out at Dani for her "recent behaviour" is brilliant. And her being baffled by this is also laughable.
  • Anita, spreadsheets do have healing powers. Trust me about that one.
  • Dani, not only are people watching, but you're also proving Hannah's point with this.
  • Bill and his whore can G-O GO from the country club.
  • Surprised Deadbeat went to Dani about the modeling.
  • Bradley is such a kind and compassionate dad; I love that for him and his children.
  • Oh, Anita is on FIRE! Shabbily?! Oh. Anita loves her use of vocabulary. I adore this. And Vernon is just supporting his wife and her intent.
  • See, Dani, when you remain level-headed, you make sense and are concise in your speaking.
  • Anita, what are you up to? Ms Hannah, your world is about to be annihilated. And boom: she fired Dani, so the Duprees fired her. Actions have consequences, ma'am. 👄
  • Go Samantha, go! Call out deadbeat on his double standards.
  • Oh Samantha, you're about to cause chaos, and I look forward to it.
  • WHY ARE TYRELL'S SHOES ALWAYS ON HIS BED?! WHY?!
  • Hannah said, "check!" and Anita said, "CHECKMATE, BITCH!"
  • Ho-box, STFU. Your head is so far up your own behind it's spewing shït.
