In terms of Eric/Quinn, an instant reunion with Eric making a 180 with no evolution seen onscreen is very much on par with how their union began -- as a surprise to viewers that they were f++king.  Character development? Watching a new couple fall in love? Meh, who needs that! lol....

Eric singing Always? What is this? Days of Our Lives

Seriously though, that was sweet. I liked it. Carter/Quinn/Eric continues to be the best part of the show, despite the rapid pace. Sheila's return is getting better as well.

They are establishing him as still suspicious she is going to cheat on him. But then it doesn't explain why he took her back - and they didn't explain why he took her back.

Maybe we are supposed to believe it is a trap? But what does he have to gain exactly by proving Quinn is going to cheat on him again? Is this directed at Carter instead? But misleading Quinn to prove Carter is untrustworthy makes Eric what exactly?

All the options I can think of are stupid and most of them make Eric look like an a**h**e.

We don't even know Jack and Li that well for them to be thrown into any story......While I always enjoy seeing Sheila, unfortunately I'm getting some Y&R 2005 vibes where KB is getting thrown into story with a bunch of newbies while basically lurking in the shadows...

It's so stupid to ask, but why couldn't we just have had Finn and Sheila communicating for months, before it being revealed to everyone she's Finn's birthmom....We could have had Sheila blackmail Jack and allow access to  BabyHayes with Finn's permission while avoiding Steffy at all costs.....Maybe in the meantime Sheila somehow gets back on good terms with Brooke, which ultimately leads to Brooke having to keep Sheila's secrets?? Maybe Justin becomes intrigued by Sheila himself and they becomes allies seeking revenge?

That would make perfect sense... have them connection on social media and text each other, forming a bond, and since he doesn't know what Sheila looks like, it would work. She knows it's his wedding day and then shows up to surprise him and he stands by her. But that would involve planning and not making up storylines at the last second...

I agree to all of that! maybe instead of doing the cliffhanger with Sheila's reveal the way they did...they could have had Finn finally convince her to give out her number to hear her voice, which is when the camera along with the signature evil music swell up for Sheila's reveal...haha

Yes, you know you fail at characterization when the person you are trying to write as the psycho comes across as the one level-headed person in the room!

I am also secretly rooting for Sheila to just kill them all. Thought I was the only one.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I think she show is fine right now. Not as great as it could be, but it doesn’t deserve to be cancelled. I’m watching the first few seasons for the first time, and yeah, it’s obvious a lot more thought was put into plotting long term story arcs and character development compared to now. It’s just a different kind of show today. It’ll never be B&B from the 90s written by Bell Sr. again, but it’s still entertaining in its own way. I always have fun and look forward to watching every day, so I can’t really ask for much more. I’d miss it if it was off the air.

I just wish they would write better stuff for their non-white cast and use Shelia to her full potential. I want to see her go batsh*t crazy.

What you NOT gonna do to me!
    • Bravo to every single person responsible for today's episode. From the writer on down to Kraft services. Yall I'm getting emotional but I wish my granny was here to have seen this soap since she was the one to introduce me to this medium.

    • Everything is fraught with confusion. Why is Leslie pleading with the Duprees to accept Eva? She's not biological family so what is this? She's the product of an affair with their in-law so Leslie wants them to accept her? I'm getting GOOD TIMES vibes of Leslie and Eva minus the physical abuse.
    • Big fan of today's writing. In particular, I like EJ complexity, crying over Johnny and conspiring at the same is tough to pull off in the same episode, but it goes very far in explaining EJ's motives. I don't hate the idea of Cat and EJ, and I especially appreciate everyone trying to warn her, but she is sticking to the plan. Boy oh boy, when Brandon Beemer wears a shirt that matches his eyes, I get lost in the screen!
    • Yeah, I think that Leslie's speech would have had a bit more of an impact if Ted had been the Dupree's son, with Nicole being the daughter in law they loved like a daughter. But being that he's the son in law, and that Eva (at least not right now) isn't technically a Dupree, it doesn't hold as much weight. They aren't caring much for Ted right now and their feelings could be trickling down to Eva. Though, I do think they have some sympathy for her. I really enjoyed today's show. Loved a stripped, down hurt but still strong in her resolve Nicole. DD continues to shine and shows why she is IMO the heart of the show. I felt her words, and anger at Ted and how she broke down in Kat's arms at the end. She is just wonderful all the way around. I also loved the way that Anita read Leslie. She was spot on about her and how mishandled everything with Ted and Eva. And speaking of Leslie... I immediately thought the same thing once I saw that scene. That what she exhibited was trash behavior. I don't think she's a good mother. In fact, I think she's lousy. Granted, I have missed some episodes, but I haven't really seen her do anything to indicate that she really cares for Eva or her well being. All she's really done is try and manipulate/use Eva for her own agenda since she came to town.
    • I thought Brandon C was much more believable as Martin today.  Before, I watched an actor trying to portray a character.  Friday and today, I simply felt the character.
    • The way Leslie uses her love shower Eva with and then snatches it away when Eva doesn’t do what she wants is something that should be focused on down the road.    Great end to the episode overall and kudos to the writing and production team for carefully executing all of this.

date: Monday, May 5 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Anthony Pascarelli Dana is certifiably insane. Beyond insane. And I oop... Anita is about to pop off on her, and this is where it gets good. Oh God, Deadbeat, stop while you're ahead. You are not one to talk with how you treat your husband and children. Settle. Go on, Nicole. Tell Theodore exactly who his busted ass is. Not Dana comparing herself to those she's compared herself to. Damn, Katherine is really putting Eva beyond the bottom of her shoe with her insults. Savage, but deserved, because she called out Eva the first day. She knew, and not a single person believed her. Oh, Theodore, how dare you try and play yourself on the same level as Nicole; it's completely different. Mama Anita is up to bat, and she's going to come out swinging. And she delivered it to Dana in the way only the matriarch of a family could. Nicole kicking Theodore out "day by day" is everything. She's not taking this anything but day by day. W H E W... Katherine telling Eva she's dead to her. Wow. That's got to cut. Dana locking Eva's ass out and drinking her wine in her robe is the ultimate villain. True villain. Notes: Anyone trying to sell that Brandon Claybon (Martin) has improved in his acting must be lying, because this is laughable and bad. Next up for recast: the role of Martin Richardson. Omg. It's so damn bad. This man cannot act. At all. He's got to GO! Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is showing how much she's been missed from daytime. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave an award-winning performance in her scenes. Outstanding, standout star! The montage with Tamara Tunie (Anita) singing "Amazing Grace" was a brilliant touch to wrap up the episode, and to allow us the ability of moving on on Thursday.
    • That ending was beautifully done. Anita took us to church.
