I think the Abbott home and Sharon's cottage got a pass because they were already permanent sets.

Covid has probably paid a part also due to the expenses of cleaning extra sets.

Hopefully at some point more sets will be allowed.

This show had Summer find out Kyle had a child and he had been lying to her and Summer forgive him all in the same episode?

Where is the drama? Seriously, who writes this way?

It's JG's way of setting up Summer and Kyle to be the next "it" couple. It's also his way of setting up both characters to be the noble hero/heroine from their age grouping. It's obviously not working.

It’s just awful writing, and hiring a black scriptwriter won’t help if the HW is so effing terrible.

I hate to say this, because I know it's an iconic set for a lot of people but I wouldn't be too sad if they lost the Crimson Lights set.

Would not be against replacing Crimson Lights or giving it a makeover. It's a very, um, brown set. And that generic meh-meh-meh music playing in the background (I blame JFP for that lol).

The bullying story is not over

The above mentioned AND Sharon (in a Coffee House) were wearing one shoulder outfits, way too many lol

They are really doing a numbed on Vicki 😮

They gave it a so-called makeover a year or two ago. Nothing is too much different about it.

I’m no Billy and Lily fan (and Victoria is actually absolutely right about her ex).

But Victoria is so smug, and Lily should have gathered her today. It’s long overdue.

Why does Sally keep engaging the disgusting Summer? She needs to concentrate on landing Jack Abbott. As Kyles stepmother, Scummer will have to be polite to her. Scummer looked like a prostitute in the lobby.

Jealous much Victoria? She spent too much time being daddy’s girl to ever put a husband first.

Ironically, overcoming drama is what turns a soap couple into an "it" couple. If we root for them to get back together after rows, fights, secrets, lies, cheatings, you have it made.
Having it all be easy and smooth is... not the way.

I continue to say that while I could buy the underlying story of rivalry, the way it has been set up is making me not care that much. I need them to have a real good soapy reason to hate each other, not just "dislike each other on sight".

Agree. Summer just caught a bad vibe about her and went to LA to dig dirt.

I really would like it if Sally & Summer became friends.  But I guess the writers like drama.  It is a soap, after all.  In real life, those girls probably hang out and go for drinks after work.
