Members soapfave06
Could this go on Freeform or whatever ABC Family turned into? Maybe they could split it between that and streaming?

Members All My Shadows
I don't see this ever leading to a new OLTL series. Who are OLTL's Kelly and Mark that would get a "Llanview" series rolling?
Members titan1978
Truthfully- them. If the show finds enough success to warrant a spinoff, it makes business sense for them to do the same thing on the new show, serve as EP and find a show runner to produce and run the writer’s room. They question is what superfan would they find to do that with them?
Members John
I was gonna suggest Nathan Fillion but does he much clout
Members Soapsuds
Ryan Phillipe is who OLTL should look to if a reboot ever happened. Edited December 22, 2020 by Soapsuds
Members lucaslesann23
I just said this because I think if this show is a success they would probably want to make more money off it, and they got another similar property Could be like station 19s relationship to Greys. They could do crossovers. Etc etc Edited December 22, 2020 by Dylan
Members Soaplovers
And a OLTL reboot could be more gritty and showcase a diverse landscape like in the early years.

Members lucaslesann23
I really hope this show isn't just an adult riverdale, Would love to see business stuff, Someone mentioned wanting to see Chandler industries.
Members Chris B
Riverdale isn’t on brand for ABC. Considering the network I’m not sure why everybody is so concerned about the tone. If this were on CW, CBS or NBC I’d be more concerned, but an AMC in primetime that still feels like AMC I feel is very on brand for them. I don’t expect a super dark and serious show.
Members Vee
I just think most modern primetime soaps these days are either very overly campy, very poorly paced and thought out or both. They're ashamed to be what they are and be substantive. We'll see how this goes - I am cautiously hopeful.
Members All My Shadows
Yes! They’re either too aware of themselves and goofy or too serious and dark. For fifteen years, I’ve gotten excited when a new show is described as being a primetime soap “like Dallas,” but none of them have ever managed to match that balance of light fun and serious business. Yellowstone impressed me until we had main characters committing murder.
