l loved both wedding episodes and I will continue to be in the minority by having zero issue with Melissa Ordway. I would rather scratch my eyeballs out than watch Emme Rylan as Abby again.

Justin Gaston did great as Chance, I was hoping the southern accent would be gone though. I have no idea why Chance sounds like a redneck these days.

I enjoyed all the flashbacks and having all the vets together. I was shocked we actually got a Tyler flashback AND a Brad flashback.

i hammered yesterday’s episode, but I think today’s wedding episode was great. The flashbacks worked...maybe I was just in a bad mood when I watched it LOL

Agree with you about Melissa Ordway — I do not want Emme Rylan back. The problem is not MO, but the writing for Abby. Today was good, though.

And btw, Ordway said the 2 weeks working with her husband were the most fun she’s had on the show. I think they were great together.

Watching Monday and...

NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

And starting the episode with Jill and Esther...and Jack...nice.

Abby's crying is not bugging me. And MO is selling it to me.

And hmmmmm...NuChance. He fills in perfectly here versus on DAYS. Interesting. I didn't feel that vibe the few times I've seen other Chance. Echos of JD's Chance.

I watched Monday and Tuesday’s episodes and enjoyed both (minus the Phyllis scenes on Monday). This is a first for me in months.

I didn’t realize I was so blah about Recent Chance until Temporary Chance showed up! He’s great in the role.
I enjoyed the flashbacks and was glad to see Nina this week.
I think we need more weddings in the near future with flashbacks!

I enjoyed the wedding episodes, but there were some glaring omissions.

Why Mariah but not Lola?

Where were Billy and Kyle? Billy has been left out among the Abbott get togethers. Why wasn't he around when Dina passed? He wasn't related to her but had interacted with her....

We know why Theo wasn't there O_O....

Was Kyle out getting his hair Poofed?

Cricket, Paul and Lauren' s absences also made no sense---given their friendships with Nina.

Very surprised to hear Cole and Ryan spoken of, but I think that had more to do with AH having zero to do on the canvas. It really is the perfect time to rest Victoria's character for a few months. Send her on a business conference and bring her back after XMas.--preferably with a new actress and a new love interest...... <cough> bring in Heather Tom<cough>

Temp Chance--- 80% improvement--- time to lose the accent. You can see MO is livelier in scenes with JG

Just suggestion How about a Nina-Traci book collaboration about Genoa City through the years with a handsome book editor and publishing executive for a c-story. I'd gladly lose Chelsea, Kevin, Theo, Lola, Phyllis (and her Grand Penis er Phoenix) for this story. Cameos and flashbacks from the Brooks, Fosters, Williams, Newman, Abbott, Barber-Winters, Chancellors, etc. during the story for interviews, memories would make a much better story than half of what happens currently. Just my thought, but Tricia Cast needs to stick around.

Casting suggestions for Publisher: Lane Davies, James DePaiva, Scott Bryce, Peter Reckell, Jon St. Elwood, Eddie Earl Hatch

Casting suggestions for editor: John Hensley, Michael Park, William Devry, John LoPrieno, Sean Blakemore, Mark Damon Espinoza, Daniel Henney

Once again, just spitballing thoughts, and the actors could also interact with others on canvas, but a Nina/Editor/Traci/Publisher c-storyline rather than watching Chelsea sneer and yell every day sounds much better.

I love the idea of the book... they could do a longer term arc moving towards the 50th anniversary. And if there are actors that can't or won't travel to come on the show, they could actually do those interviews via Zoom the way they had Nina and Jill see Chance at the hospital and write it into the script that way. It wouldn't be my preference but would be a way to see some of the older vets.

Why is Cricket not at the wedding? It makes zero sense after everything she and Nina went through.

And I guess no one wanted TB there?

He could've bought his bf or husband. I guess his bad acing was enough to pass on. It would've been nice to see Nina, Phillip and Cricket in scenes together.

Merely having all these people in the same room gives this show a jolt of energy. Even Jill addressing Nikki with her back turned to her crackled with a tension that this show lacks on a day-to-day basis. Victor, Nikki, Jill, Nina, Jack, and Ashley all feel mythic and glamorous. Some of the other cast members are fine actors, but they don’t have IT.

It’s also great to simply see characters touch, hug, and be close together.

Done with Monday.

Really, really, really love TempChance, He just soo looks like TB's son. And the accent doesn't bother me at all. But I've been all over so my own accent is a weird one.

Loved the flashbacks. Alex! Tyler! BRAAADD!!!! I didn't even see when Ashley named Abby so that was just adorable. Any scene with a flashback of Katherine is cool. And as someone already said...nice to see all the vets in one room...nicely distanced.

Phick...meh. But darn if JM didn't look good. Hm.

ETA: MO was hit or miss for me. She did great at the start...wanted to shake her throughout...okay Abby, not her...and the end was cute. I liked. But I rarely had problems with her. Now the writing...

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back! At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place. We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo. Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier. Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future. I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest. But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
