That interview!

Yeah after I was released from my contract I decided to.... take a break.

That is just too sad to think about. Man has 19 years of primetime experience and comes back to Days which is a shamble of what it was in the late 90's when he left. There's a James Franco memoir in there somewhere.  Honestly, I doubt Jensen would come back even if it was for the final episode.

Real talk though, I can't imagine any Daytime actors coming onto Days at this point Billy Miller, Jacob Young or any other notable talent. Days basically just told every one they weren't willing to commit to a schedule, and the cast likely work for pennies on dollars as it is. That's a far cry from what Miller and Young are used to working on Bell soaps and for GH which has at least not sunken as far as Days. I can't think of many people who would want to work on the sinking ship that is Days, even if they are currently unemployed.

They would probably be fine with killing Jack a millionth time, especially our savior Ron.

I'd be surprised if anyone at the show, or most of the conservative fanbase, has any real problem with what Reeves said. If she does go it will probably be down to budget.

The show is so dead now I'm surprised it even has an active Twitter base.

The Ciara/Ben relationship is so disgusting and the show's Ben propping will seemingly never end. I notice he isn't said to be leaving. I guess he knows this is the best he'll get.

Greg Vaughan always deserved better than what DAYS gave him.

Hi Jason: in her interview, KA mentions that she filmed her last episode before covid break and that it would air on 10/15. Jason47's Days production schedule list mentions that 10/5 was the last episode taped before the break. How can that be since they moved up all the dates anyway to cover the summer olympics?

At least have them leave together.

Thank you ever so much for the confirmation.

Now if someone would confirm for sure CB (and LK who I hope is not leaving) with an article...I think I will be all set with the current lists of going.

She started great and still was a find IMHO, but I agree with the rest of you. Chemistry with RSW yes. But unless they were going to redeem him properly (or make him a grey hero), they shouldn't be together. And Good Guy Ben has already proven to be bland.

    • Was Blake the product of Roger raping Holly, or did that come after when they were a couple?
    • I really wish we could see that episode...absolutely, my memory could be faulty, it was a very long time ago. I'm not going to contradict what the actors said--there has to be a reason it made them so uncomfortable that they talked about it in the press and complained to TPTB. I think that was the first one where they made the point that they wanted to educate the audience about the subject.
    • I just did with GL and its made me very happy!

Oh yes, trying to get into any soap from scratch starting post-2010 would be hard. I prefer to go back to the good ol' days, before the decline.
    • Can we talk about how iconic the 1994 tornado was on AMC? I was scanning through old episodes last night and came across this episode. The tornado was epic and the storylines/aftermath were so good (Julia's scar/Noah!; Jenny/Ray/Nola/Jesse in heaven with Tad, etc).  For 1994, these special effects and budget for this big event were amazing. 10 out of 10!  The only thing missing is Erica!  I can't recall where Erica was at the time, but I really wish she had been involved in this storyline.

    • On the way to her own engagement party? I've read that the show had trouble getting the audience to sympathize with Rita, but...that seems bizarre. Maybe I can understand the issue with the censors, given that at the time, rape wasn't depicted the way it is now, and marital rape was even less acknowledged.  Wasn't Chris Brooks' rape one of the first honest stories on the subject? I just don't think I could get into a show I didn't have a working knowledge of. I know it's a different era, but I really tried to get into GH once Maura West joined, but it just never jelled.
    • Yes it was! My mom and I convinced my dad to get one. He was--how shall I put this?--on the thrifty side, but one day he came home with one as a surprise. To this day, I'm convinced it fell off a truck. (He knew people with "connections."

) BUT, we had our VCR and we could watch our soaps. That thing lasted forever! It was built like a tank. Even when we got new ones with more features, we kept that one.

Blasphemy!  (Haha, I get it.  But, you should try watching AMC! 80s-90s was so good.)
    • I thought about saying how I resented the fact that those two newbies were tripping up the Puppetmaster of all Puppetmasters, when the best others could do was a stalemate (or less...). But, well...*sigh*
    • I read years ago that both Zaslow and Lenore both complained that it came off as a seduction because of CBS censors, so Lenore asked if she could say, "you raped me" to leave no doubt with the audience, and that Zaslow insisted that Holly's rape played realistically
    • Wow it’s official, Gatwa is out… https://www.avclub.com/ncuti-gatwa-addresses-doctor-who-finale-statement DW fandom on Reddit is in a furor over how things went down and apparent last minute scrapping of the original ending. Also…Billie Piper again really?
