DAYS: 30+ Year Vet Quits!

No loss to the show. If DAYS is to survive it needs to refocus on a smaller cast, in more believable circumstances. I really do believe that some of the sets are still good (the Kiriakis mansion for instance) and that if they could refocus on those good sets (dump Horton Town Square hell) and beg someone to let them shoot in the backlot like B&B does, there would be creative avenues.

DAYS is such an odd show that it’s hard to know what any of this means. So many people come and go so I’m not sure what this means in terms of focusing the cast. I also don’t think anything can help their budget at this point. I do think these exits mostly are coming from them getting released from contracts.

Konefal is out too

 

I used to LOVE Hope but BYE Fancy Face. It's time.

 

They wasted Konefal on two years of propping Ben Weston. I thought she was capable as Ciara but being Ben's PR manager didn't work for her. What a miss but that's DAYS. It's no wonder younger actors flee from DAYS ...

After all that Ben propping, she's leaving too. I can't even begin to think as to what direction the show is going to go in once they go back into production.

I will miss Kristian and Hope, though the Rafe pairing basically ruined her for me. I got a kick out of her playing Gina playing Hope.

 

I will not miss Ciara if this is true. The show didn't know what to do with the character outside of having sex with Ben and defending Ben against anyone who dare call him out on being a brutal serial killer.

As happy as I am it's also sad because she is a good actress that was wasted in an absurd pairing with Ben. 

 

It's obvious the end is near for the show. So many have been fired for monetary reasons and storylines that never worked.

  I hope the Victoria Konefal rumors are untrue.   DAYS needs Ciara and Shawn and Belle and Claire, now that Kristian Alfonso(Hope) is leaving.

BYE!!! She's a talented young woman who had a ton of potential when she first came on, but Ciara the Ben cheerleader is unwatchable. I can barely make it through episodes where she's on (which isn't her fault, but the writing for Ciara is just horrendous).

Alan, the guy who leaked the VK news, tweeted that more are leaving that haven’t been announced and that these aren’t people that were fired, they’re people who decided to leave when they were released from contract. Victoria, Camilla and Kristen Alfonso are all leaving on their own accord. Galen and Wilson were fired. I wonder who else is next considering it is going to be multiple people. I wonder what their canvas will look like say in December. 
 

I imagine this is good for characters like Lucas, Chloe, Belle and Shawn who come and go. With this much space opening up there might be room for them on a permanent basis. I also wonder if Ron Carlivati could be out. I wouldn’t be surprised if another soap tried to get him when he was between contracts.

It will probably be YR. But hes tanking days so idk if they would trust him with the #1 show

I hope and pray that doesn’t happen, but it makes the most sense. GH seems happy with their writing and Brad Bell won’t leave B&B although I do think his style would probably work best at B&B. Of course we have no indication any changes will be made at Y&R. I feel like if anything the Covid-19 stuff might keep soaps from making unnecessary big moves.

Lindsay Arnold (Allie) said she screen-tested with RSW, so I won't be surprised if they try to pair Allie with Ben.
