Thank you kindly im soo happy this vault is the safe zone for the shows seasons, even though i look at 2019 like it was another let down year I am happy to see some material from it.

Can at least see Ana/fen along with Neil's last appearance and of course his tribute, also the return of Ashley and her conspiring with kerry comes to light. Cant forgot mia/Abby showdown and Mia schemes too bad they let her go cause i was actually enjoying her.

I guess all the returns as well even though those returns weren't as explosive as it should have been lol.

That’s wonderful. Katherine was such a bundle of nerves in the salon that I was feeling second-hand anxiety just watching her.

Jeanne Cooper’s voice changed so much over the years.

Watching Jill luxuriating in Katherine’s house, you can anticipate the decades of story that followed.

Have you seen the vault posted in the Y&R: Old Articles thread? This full episode is in there, and there's a bunch from 1975.

I hadn't watched this scene in a long time. It resonates. Poor Jill trying to subtly bring up her mom's job, Katherine not hearing (deliberately? or is she that consumed with herself?). Such good dialogue for such a simple scene. And that shot of Jill entering the house for the first time and supporting a drunken Kay... what a contrast from Kay's final scene before Jeanne's passing. I love old Y&R cause I always notice something new.

Do you know how old she was in this scene? All those characters had powerful scenes in those and even if it was a simple scene of them talking there was always something the sparked your interest even in what they were talking about.

    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
    • She’s INCREDIBLE. I’m so glad you enjoyed this my friend.
    • I loved SOAP OPERA NOW because they  did detailed analysis of the ratings. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJS504ep-ff/ 14th Annual SOD Awards 1998 GH Edit with a Y&R shout-out to Bill Bell who is then seen in the audience.
