Members JAS0N47
I don't watch YR, but was checking on preemptions and saw this posted by the YR twitter: "Today's episode of #YR was preempted. It will air tomorrow at our regularly scheduled time." https://twitter.com/YandR_CBS/status/1219717035711594497
Members edgeofnik
Thanks! I updated the list. I'm sure there's more to come. At least DAYS looks like it's going to be online regardless during this phase.
VanessaReardon
CBS has totally checked out of caring for their daytime lineup. They had some intern type out that “Young & the Restless” is a repeat today (Nikki’s 40th anniversary episode). CBS - have some respect for your iconic show. It’s The Young and the Restless. It irritated me to no end that CBS would allow some dimwit who can’t bother to type out the correct name of the show put Young & the Restless in their chyron. Shows how much CBS cares. Zilch. Members dragonflies
I doubt it will air tomorrow either. This is going to go on for weeks
VanessaReardon
Exactly. Days is going to air regardless. I like their method. Put it online, OnDemand, on the app. Days is out there if you want to watch it. I think the other 3 soaps see this as another saving money measure. If they don’t air, they can save money by producing less episodes down the line. Sony will most definitely amend the Y&R contracts after this Impeachment fiasco is over. Members Antoyne
My DVR has been recording DAYS all week.
Members DramatistDreamer
Most interns are unpaid and only getting college credit. You get what you pay for, I guess.
Members edgeofnik
01/22/20 - The networks made it easy. I anticipate this will be the case for the foreseeable future. DAYS - Online B&B, GH, Y&R: Full Pre-emption
Members soapfan770
CBS is really full of it for not even utilizing CBS All Access or just online in some form.
VanessaReardon
Agreed. It just annoyed me (beside the CBS lie) that Young & the Restless is a thing now.
Members edgeofnik
It's because CBSAA is pretty much an industry joke. Unlike NBC's current app, which I use through Roku, you have to subscribe to CBSAA. However, CBS could post on CBS.com (like the stingy 5 episodes they post now). A primary reason why I dipped back into DAYS is that 4 months of episodes are easily available to stream - so I caught up 6 months ago and have stuck with it. Members xtr
Today in NC, Y&R was shown for about 35 minutes until it was preempted for the Impeachment Trial.
Members Antoyne
Am I the only one who’s been able to watch Days all week without interruption?
Members dragonflies
Hmm maybe I know I've watched it on the app
Members reallyhateskateonlost
With so many channels now, even over the air, the networks don't have to do this. In the 70's it was Watergate with only 3 channels. Then it was OJ. UGH!
