The scenes of Jennifer being held captive are far from menacing when you realize she's being held in the blue room.

Exactly. Sets matter.

I echo the praise for the Mar-Darr era and it was so sad to see the momentum and potential squandered. And all we have to show for it is that damn Horton Town Square, who magically lost its brick wall and flight of stairs (recycled from their old early 90's expansive park set) on the right side after about a year.  One day, it'll just be the park bench set but with Alice & Tom's jenky tree in the bench's spot.

This show is cheap.

I think the Kate and Madison rivalry had great potential. Madison as a character had potential.

Madison was great and then they ruined her and killed her off. Total waste of SJB.

It's pitiful they already used the blue room for Rolf's lab. I miss the old days. When soaps had great production values. Even during mediocre era's.

I really liked HTS in the beginning. Now it's just the same overused spot. With an extra or two in the background. Hard to believe it's been 8 yrs since HTS debut. HTS is Days version of GL's Main Street set. L70GPp.gifwV2xEg.gif

Jennifer being held in the blue room is so lame. And how dumb that Dr. Shah is now a kidnapping psycho.

I guess Jen broke his heart too many times lol

If they're smart, it'll be John's baby with Danielle Tremayne, but considering who's writing this show, it'll be another retcon alien baby from Mars or Kristen's Parisian miscarriage being undone. 🙄

ETA: Just re-read this. Another retcon baby for Marlena? How does one woman have so many holes in her memory without being institutionalized??

Oh boy... I can't wait to see how they manipulate the timeline to explain his age... Are we sure he's not Brady's son? Geesh...

Hmm...

It would make more sense for him to be a long lost child of Brady’s.

If he turns out to be John and Marlena’s, they could always borrow the plot of that Days novel that Sheri Anderson wrote. It is a little out there, but it would be better than another rewrite of their timeline.

Wait, what?  Marlena had a child even she doesn't remember having?

This is my least favorite soap trope. It's trotted out constantly, but I can count the number of times I've seen it work on one hand. So lazy.
