Hopefully, J.T. will serve his sentence off screen. I doubt Thad is willing to come back for any longer since he seems keen on producing movies with his twin brother.

I would love if it they have Noah come back home to Genoa City, in which Mia sets her sights on him at first to make Sharon jealous for "Taking Away" Rey and she starts dating him. But she finds herself falling for him for real with Sharon warning Noah off everytime. However, Noah stands up to his mother whilst Mia is smiling a shi* grin everytime. She and Nikki bond over being social climbers.

Though I think that Mia might be the next one to go. Since Rey has Sharon unfortunately and Lola has her new restaurant and in the middle of a triangle between herself, Kyle, and Summer.

Paul and Christine need a hard course correction. I hardly recognize these characters anymore. I know in years a lot of stuff happened to them but these our the same ones who were the heroes of the show twenty years ago.

Welp. Watched today and Paul's still the angry jerk. I get they had to have him lecture Rey but lawd. This is why I was glad he was gone. Even if I hated the way Mal treated a loyal 40 year veteran Paul's been a terrible character for years now and Davidson plays him so angry and cranky. I can't. I hope they really understand that the characters of Paul and Christine are beyond shells of their former selves. It doesn't work.

The show was watchable, I suppose.

Well, glad to see that Nick broke up with shady Phyllis. Now STAY THAT WAY.

And it is nice to see Thad again. Also like the feeling of suspense in this episode.

Anyone else start laughing on the inside when Josh Morrow attempts to play serious Nick? I feel like he's doing a poor imitation of Eric Braeden. Morrow is good at some things but this Nick "I'm in charge and a bad ass" doesn't work. Morrow lacks the range for it to be believable. He does well playing Dad and sometimes with the romantic stuff. And Shick STILL have chemistry. I know Morrow seems to fight the pairing but he really shouldn't.

He really is.

I did enjoy his annoyance towards Summer's rush into marriage. He does do the dad stuff well.

I like Morrow more than some but he's always been weak in many regards (I think he's checked out; this is why I don't mind when actors leave and the character gets a rest, it helps). Sharon Case absolutely brings out the best in him.

I am enjoying the Devon/Elena scenes. I think she has a flirty kind of light easy going way about her. I think she's really cute. Devon seemed happy to help Jett. I am interested in seeing where this storyline goes with Elena/Jett moving into the penthouse and Devon helping Jett. Maybe he will end up singing again.

I continue to like Kyle/Summer together this time around. He acts husbandry towards her (like carrying her over the threshold) and they look good together. I also like that Jack is supportive of them. I think he like them better than Kyle/Lola especially after calling out Lola for her treatment of Kyle the last time she broke up with him. Like seeing Jack trying to look out for Summer. He's always had a soft spot for her.

The Newman family is so rich but they’ve all lost the front doors to their homes.

Everyone is so happy to be home from jail. Sleeping in their own soft beds. Yay! However, I know my happiest moment would be using the toilet in peace and privacy again. Soaps always miss the mark (so to speak) regarding the joys of pottyhood.

    • It was all about Gio today, boys

He was really sweet and dorky though, and I enjoyed the violin lol. And he looked good too  I'm speculating that the big reveal will happen at Gio's birthday party. It's definitely time. But yeah, he really should've gotten advice and encouragement from someone, from anyone other than Sonny though. And while I understand where Dante is coming from, he was a little annoying today again. They really needed to establish this tension and anger a lot sooner than now, or not do it at all. Plus, this had already been done with Mac/Cody, Nina/Willow, etc., and honestly, it doesn't seem necessary here.  As for Lucky and Liz, as much as I like angsty couples, I'm still concerned about what Frank may (or may try to) do with them. The biggest reason why Lucky is like a 'cowboy' is because this friggin guy spent the better part of a decade basically erasing him from existence.
    • True, lol. IIRC, Rita Moreno said in an interview that part of the problem was that Susan Harris was ill during the week they taped that episode and therefore was unable to make needed script changes.  I wonder what might have happened had they been able to delay the taping until she felt well enough to work more on the script.  I feel like "Nest" might've sold with Moreno and Paul Dooley (although the patient with DID would've needed to be eighty-sixed regardless, lol).
    • What is the most recent episode in which Maurice Johnson's Ted wore a turtleneck?
    • They had a Liam/Hope montage today supposedly about all their times together but it was only Annika's Hope and no scenes from Kim Matula's Hope.  I realize they probably didn't want to restage those scenes with Annika. But still it was weird to omit the Italian wedding.  They could have thrown in a Puglia scenery pic without the actors.
    • I haven't watched today's episode yet, but maybe that was the point. Maybe they're trying to move Ted in a more unlikable/villain direction and it wouldn't work with the previous actor. Or maybe it's just that transition phase which will take some getting used to.
    • Thanks to the benefits of watching the last weeks of Sherry's stint as Liza and the start of Louan's stint as Liza... I can safely say that Liza would have remained the lead heroine had Sherry stayed on as Liza.   Charisma is a mighty important element that makes someone watchable and likable... and Sherry had that. No disrepect for Louan because she was a good actress.. but to me, she played a more passive/neurotic Liza vs the more confident/decisive version of Liza.  I think the Liza vs Estelle over TR story would have had more impact with Sherry in the role..imho.
    • Welcome @SoapCurios it is nice to see new people here. Many episodes from The City still aren't available, but if I find any that touch on Azure's story, I will post them.
    • I'm not invested in Ted as a character anymore either. He's not the same.
    • I have a feeling it was either coincidence or it was an idea whose time had come. Remember Bill Bell was also into the psycho-sexual. So it was happening more than one place. Pete Lemay began disagreeing with Irna quite early on. He shut up & listened at first, naturally because he had to learn the basics. But, as soon as he had, they began to have arguments, disagreements. They both were devotees of character-driven but the similarities stopped pretty quickly. Bolin as far as AW was concerned was nuts & bolts, or more $$$. It was all about the numbers. And the numbers were great, double the ad revenue & that went to the network. As far HTSAM was concerned, that was her baby, no one else's. It is so funny to me that Lemay started this by accident.
