Not to defend this hot mess storyline, but my grandma had dementia and in the nursing home she constantly threatened to stab the nurses there. That's how a lot of people are who have this horrible disease

Yeah, but there is a pretty big leap between threatening to stab people and actually stabbing someone, committing arson, kidnapping and murder.  It's just making it into a bit of a farce for me. Not that soap has to be realistic, but I would just like a little more when they tackle such a pervasive issue.

Since we were told this was about MY's mother having Alzheimer's and his wanting to share the story, are we to assume this is how she acted?  I'm sorry, but Dina's rapid-fire quick-jaunt from the Abbott house to burn down that crummy Underground set, stabbing Nikki, kidnapping Nick's kid and murdering Graham could all be reflective of dear old  mom, he must have had his hands full....

I know this is going to sound really radical, but to me having only one elder woman on the canvas, and giving her Alzheimer's to boot is akin to having only one gay character on canvas and giving him a deadly STD. The elder woman being on a killing spree adds insult to injury. That's why the story is offensive to me.

Maybe we were supposed to get more scenes with Abby, but Melissa Ordway had her baby early...the amount of flashbacks was extreme.

That makes complete sense. The timing is right - she gave birth six weeks ago. It's kind of the way they had to rewrite all the KSW scenes because of his unexpected lewve with Bryton taking those scenes, even though Devon has no real PR knowledge.

It seems like Scott, Tessa and Graham are getting exits. So with the exception of the legacy children, that pretty much clears all the SSM creations. The Worm and Dina predate SSM with the original casting so that gives MY a clean canvas.

In an old SOD issue it was said that MY is planning on bring back old characters and bringing on new ones

I wonder who wrote Tessa's song. It was actually ok. Sounded like they actually tried to create a song that could be played on radio today, which is more than what one can say about the songs on Empire.

Honestly, I thought that song was a big fat nothingburger. Just nothing special about it at all.

Damn Dina's had more action in six months than Joshua Morrow has had all year. The only story he gets are insta fake romances or boring charity s h i t with his mother Nikki.

At least Mal knows which actors can act and those who can't...ie Joshua Morrow.

LOL You sure have the hammer ready to bash Josh Morrow — even when he doesn’t appear.

How quickly you forget the grandpa man boobs we saw of Cane a while back. That was scary looking. There is no excuse for him to let himself go. He is an actor and knows that shirtless scenes are part of the business and he needs to stay in shape.

Send a memo to Robert Adamson while you’re at it. At least Cane looks good n clothes. Noah is a pudge machine.

12 hours later I don't remember a word of it, so it must not have had some great impression on me. But it sounded passable, which honestly is the low bar for songs from TV shows. I wasn't grimacing and cringing at it.

Remember the days when a legacy couple got a fabulous, lengthy montage full of flashbacks? Set to music, perhaps the couple's theme song?

I understand all the complaining about Cane and Lily today, but I think you’re on to something. This was legacy couple material, a way to wrap up their break up. Honestly, I preferred that to watching stupid Paul.

TBF RA has a niiice body under all those clothes as July 4th revealed.

And Soapsuds is just hating. :P

At least Noah has a nice ass. I'm sick of the flat ass addiction that soap casting directors have.

Nah, he's not pudgey.

And Morrow sucks.

My partner who only watches every now and then saw Noah the other day and noticed the weight gain.

And I'll be the first to admit, I'm probably just jealous. I wish the couples that I loved growing up had that kind of prolonged airtime, few obstacles and always ended up together. Those fans are lucky.

I recall a time where it would be months, even years, before a resolution was in sight. You're always waiting for that payoff and while I've always disliked the term 'end game' when it comes to this genre, it's something every fan wants.

That may be the wish of a fanbase, but that's like death to good writing.
