"If I were a gold digger, dont you think I would have went after Bill Spencer and his millions?" Well you did go after Bill. Still that line makes little sense. Bill isnt as stupid as Eric, whom is an easy mark if someone wanted to golddig on him

and again Quinn says Eric is the only man that has seen her for who she truly was. Yet she said the same line about Deacon and then Liam.

I haven't seen anything more than about 5 minutes per week, in weeks but from what I saw - wow it looks like Ridge was plotting against Quinn - and she figured it out?  Wow.  Innovative.  Yawn.  Why would anyone think Quinn might actually have to pay for anything on this show or someone might really turn the tables on her?  It's not gonna happen on this show.  LOL.  They'll have Ridge actually fall in love with her instead. Yawn.

One day I saw Steffy talking about her divorce from Weasel almost being final.  This has to be the longest divorce on this soap in years.  For anyone else on this show they're divorced within the same week.  Quinn and Deacon had their marriage "annulled" even though they had been married a year, and that took 2 days.  But they always need to move plot forward with her.

I was pretty much done after Steffy took the CEO position and they started having addle-brained Eric get in on the manipulations and con game with Quinn.

I hope nothing is wrong with John McCook in real life.  A couple of months ago his voice changed to me a little bit...my sister even mentioned it.  I said, yeah, he sounds like Darrel Hammond playing Sean Connery on Saturday Night Live in the Celebrity Jeopardy skit.  "WYATT, you are like my own MY SHUN!"  "SHE'SH MY WIFE AND I'M HER HUSHBAND!"  "STEFFY you will be the MATREEEEEARCHHHH of THISH FAMILY."  Etc. etc.  I could just hear Darrel's version of Sean Connery, "ALEXSH - I'll take ANAL BUM COVER for $100!"   Will Farrell as Alex Trebec:  "That's 'An Album Cover', Sean."

Really, what's the deal with Ridge and Quinn?  For weeks now, they keep telling each other straight to their face how much they can't stand each other.  It's bizarre.  It feels like it's the writers shoving it down our throats how much they hate each other, but the character's behavior on-screen betrays that.  Besides, who sits in an office with someone, looks them in the eye and says "I really hate you", only for them the respond back "You're disgusting and a liar and I'm gonna bring you down!!".

Next thing you know, you're standing nekkid in front of them.  Outside.  And neither of you bat an eye.

And a week later, you're on a business trip with this person you can't stand and you spill your guts to them about your life and how much you love your husband, and how that person still sucks azz...and then kiss them?  WTF?

This story is complete crap and makes no sense.

Oooooh a kiss that will destroy relationships.  Bell is lazy, this is déjà vie from the Caroline/Ridge kiss, which was déjà vie to the Carter/Maya kiss,, and so on...

Calling it now, Dollar Bill learns of the kiss and will stop Bridge wedding!

Instead of a kiss, it would've been more interesting if Quinn told Widge that she'd keep his slimy plan a secret from Eric so he could rebuild the relationship. In exchange, he needed to back-off, which he eventually fail to do. Quinn reveals all - Brooke and Eric are mortified, etc. Same impact except no lame kiss. I like the chemistry between RS/TK but this 180 is just not believable after all the bad blood, vile name calling and schemes - lying about power of attorney, Brooke's shares, and on and on.

Yesterday Liam tried to convince Steffy that Quinn is manipulating her into going back to Wyatt and that she should ignore Eric's request by moving in with him. He then went to Ridge to complain Quinn. These are literally the same exact scenes that have been repeating over the last month. Oh and Eric encouraged Wyatt not to give up on Steffy

I hate both characters. So glad I am no longer watching this mess.

the material with Liam and Steffy is the dumbest thing ever. Bc he is impatient and cant wait for her to get home from meeting Wyatt, he starts to lose it and rushes off to take the Spencer jet out of town. WTF?!? Did he not learn anything from last year?

That was so painful to watch. Liam is flying off like a child and, of course, he has his phone off (or no attempt to reach him) when Steffy finds out OR $Bill calling HIS jet to tell the pilot to stop. It was beyond stupid. On the plus side, the Steffy/WyNot scenes during the past three days were well done.

The Quidge thing is beyond creepy now. I've always bought the RS/TK burn, but Widge flipping 180 just a few weeks (max in B&B time) from his epiphany for Brooke and proposal at Stephanie's grave is just ridiculous.

    • Olivia did have a good reason for what she did. Still, I'd think she would be slower to pass such harsh judgment on Lois since she knows what she herself lived through. I'm hoping we get a softer Olivia when she reflects on everything.   I'm going to disagree with this. I don't think the character has been ruined and trashed, and I don't think it's impossible to come back from this. Yes, a great case can be made that this is out-of-character for Lois, but I can also make a case for people doing out-of-character things when life deals us crazy and impossible moments. Because of the story we're getting from this, I think it was worth putting Lois into this situation.

    • Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum but I have been a soap opera fan for only a few years. I started watching General Hospital in the 2010s on tv due to boredom. It wasn't good but it was okay enough to get curious about the soap opera genre. When I eventually got internet I started researching 90s and 2000s General Hospital. I have started only recently researching 80s and 90s Days of Our Lives. I was shocked when I found out that a black soap opera is going to be made, especially because the genre as a whole was on a downward trajectory. Now here I am as a black woman seeing a soap opera from the start. I'm all for Beyond the Gates succeeding.

    • That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!
    • Well, VI was leaving, and while Long admits that killing him was stupid...I do agree with letting him go with a big bang...body missing.  They spent a lot of time and money on Infinity, (which I think might have gotten a bit of a better reputation had it not been the harbinger of a total tonal change with the Bauers and Reardon's decimated and its all Reva and the Lewis and the weird people hanging out around Kyle) so they needed it to end dramatically. They could have done so much more with having Alex go after Kyle and Billy, but that ends and she starts moping over weird and boring Simon. With Kurt..what were you going to do.. cute but boring and perfect and with ties to no one (they had a nice little thing where Bea took him under her wing when everyone left but then she did too..) If they had the balls they would have had Rick and Mindy jump in the sack ( I know, Mindy should have learned birth control by then) I would have had it be Mindy who knows about Rick's drug use and she tries to help him...(not that nobody who came and went) of course, Kurt and Roxie misunderstand..that on top of her bad Sampson Girl thing leaves him to leave her temporarily, and in grand soap tradition, Rick and Mindy console each other (again, I would write it that they always really did, and Mindy rushed into things with Kurt) and she gets knocked up, and loving Rick but also Kurt she chooses to believe it is Kurts (which I could see Princess Mindy doing "My life is perfect and I will it that way, this is Kurts kid")But, she had the dumb model thing, then she burned down the house he was building, she tried to get prefers and he dies (but also Kobe was the one who built him up, then she was gone when he was let go.) Ross believe it or not is one of the last of the "old guard" characters, beside Ed (who is now FauxEd) and Maureen, and Henry and Van (who is ties to being the Lewis family mope.) JVD has made jokes that they didn't write him out as they simply forgot that he was there! Reva doesn't even call her mother when she comes back! I never saw the use of Sarah but they could have reunited them and sent her and Hawk out of town together. Hell, I don't like the Shaynes but she should have mentioned Roxie and Rusty.  The weird thing is that Dylan had a ton of story and was very important to the Van/Bridget baby custody story. By the time Reva comes back Dylan had only been gone a year so its not like people wouldn't know him..( I liked him and Bridget together...) So he comes back in 97 and acts like it's no big deal Reva is alive so they must have talked off camera. But Reva was too busy squacking about that annoying toothy Marah and blank Shayne to talk about anything else.  It's not quite as weird as Van, who obsessed over Peter, comes back to SF and never mentions him...i.e. "I saw Peter this weekend and he so barely remembers me but he is happy with Bridget and Dylan...")
    • Excellent! The OLTL-GH promo places this and the RH episode (which I assume aired directly before this AMC) as airing during the week of Aug. 20.
    • Thanks! There's never enough early 1980s AMC around.    The only actor I don't recognize is the actress playing Wanda, Mike's agent.
