CG looked fantastic today in those outdoor scenes. I also liked the Chelsea/Mariah bonding.

My RANT: With Luca seemingly gone forever, which wasn't necessary, I realized that other than Travis & Devon, there are no men under 40! (GR and JT turn 40 soon.) For a show with YOUNG in it's title, it's ridiculous. Meanwhile, under 30 ladies include Summer, Lily, Mariah and Hillary (just turned 30) and Chloe, Abby and Chelsea - all in mid-30s. I hope the new writing team addresses this. They de-aged Phyllis by a decade, only to pair her with Aunt Jack until and Gramps Billy until JT was cast. I have no issue with older/younger when it fits - Jillary could be gold for many reasons and Ashley/Ben worked and could work as a salacious rebound for Stitch - but the show needs to figure this out.

I didn't think I needed to come here "regularly" (whatever the hell that is) to meet your posting approval. I don't see what the problem is with my saying posters are too negative and too critical. Don't like it? Then skip my posts or block me. I don't care.

If you feel all big and bad because others feel the way you do about me, good for you. I'm glad that pleases you. You think I'm the problem? Good for you. But I don't take orders, a hint, or "a fuckin' hint" from anyone when it comes to posting.

Your last rant  to me is LAUGHABLE. You really should read what you pound out on your keyboard because the irony is rich. Pot, meet kettle.

Let me be clear: I NEVER attacked you. I NEVER personally insulted you. If I violated your space as the board bully, believe me, you can keep the title. I'm sure you have a lot more friends around here than I do, so I guess I'll get blasted again for daring to answer you.

if you want to drop more F bombs at me, have at it. I'm not the one writing out-of-control posts.

I'm very in control, I'm just telling you how it is. This is not complicated or difficult to understand. You just have too big an ego to admit that you've been an ass.

If you want to contribute, do so. If you want to be an infrequent poster, fine, no one cares. But stop showing up every six months just to clutch your pearls and act outraged at the board having a critical opinion you disagree with. I've been seeing you do this same schtick for years and clearly so has everyone else. Stick to the show, not the board. Listen to what people are telling you, or find a new home more to your liking. These threads are not about you and they are not about us, and you constantly peppering your posts with meta-commentary about how you can't believe that we don't like what you do is incredibly obnoxious and precious.

You can either accept that multiple people are telling you the same thing, or continue living in denial and get the same response every single time from now on. If you want to change things up and treat people with a modicum of the consideration you seem to continually demand we give the shows, great. If you enjoy masochism instead, welcome to the future.

No men under 35 and no women over 45 is the show's rule. And it's a serious problem for this show.

I'm sorry but I have a problem with every young woman being in some May December pairing with an older guy EXCEPT Hilary, whom the show also tried to do with her several times instead of focusing on and building for the future with the age appropriate pairing she had that did work out well before Pratt got his hands on it to seemingly intentional screw it up. It's just overkill. They've already got the only legacy young black female this show has with an older white man and no real prospect of that ever changing. What sense does it make to put the other young black female with an even older white male who could be her grandfather? Aunt Jack, no less. Well, Grandma Jack to Hilary. Is that really a female fantasy? Is that what women want to see? I can't imagine that.

Mariah and Chloe fighting over Kevin is no better. GR can do much better than he does too. He needs to hit the gym and take in some sun. And before I get jumped on, I'm not saying every man needs to look a certain way to be attractive. But when you live in a town where almost every man is a billionaire or millionaire and looks good or set to inherit such while you're character doesn't and isn't, at least look like someone worth fighting over.  That's why Brad Carlton worked. Women wanted pool boy Brad. And we all knew why. Why does any woman want Kevin? Especially with his history.  Why? I don't see it. Especially not Chloe. She should be gold digging.

I've yet to understand why Abby wanted Stitch other than he belonged to her sister and at the time the show was playing a bit of a rivalry with Abby and Vikki. He's not all that good looking. He's not exciting. He's not rich either. What does he have to recommend him? I don't see it.

Sorry for my rant.

The Chancellor Park set/outdoor scenes (It seems to me there's both) are greatly improved over that trash that JFP originated.  And yes, CG looked fanfuckingtastic yesterday.

Please don't apologize for your "rant".  I think it's pretty spot-on.

The show does need to address the lack of youth on canvass.  I'm hopeful the new writers will make use of legacy characters that aren't onscreen (Keemo, maybe bring LB back for Kyle, Fen, Scotty, Noah).  I could see a retcon for Traci having another daughter or son since she's been offscreen so long.  Just a thought...

Keemo would be in his mid forties. Kyle, Scotty, Fen would be great, We need some females, A granddaughter for Greg Foster arriving to live with Aunt Jill, Julia Newman's granddaughter (via her daughter Jaime).  There's a lot of history to mine--and these new writers were there when it was occurring...just sayin'...

You might notice that almost everyone here has ignored your and Roman's attacks on me. Instead, people are posting about the show -- good stuff I've enjoyed reading here and on the Kay Alden thread.

For you to accuse me of having a big ego is hilarious. I mean, really. Your diva routine puts you in contention with me any time. You've been seeing me do this same shtick for years? Back at you. Right back at you. Your psychoanalysis of posters and their intentions is absurd, off-topic, and boring.

If you want the final word here, take another shot and talk to the wind.  I'm done.

So I am watching Y&R for the first time since MAB's era, when I stopped watching.. Here are some random things I noticed while watching..

And it's different.. from just a technical point of view.. there is outdoor scenes (Jill and some hot shirtless guy (Travis?) jogging and talking in the park), camera is more shaky, there is no music?!

Is this because of the British guy? I know British soaps do outdoors and no music..

Anyway, regarding the story.. I am watching the episode 21SEP2016... it seems like Billy and Phyllis' affair is out.

I don't know how I feel about Gina Tognoni as Phyllis. I loved Gina on Guiding Light. I think she's great. But I don't know how I feel about her as Phyllis. She's different.

Same goes for Jason Thompson as Billy and Amelia Heinle as Victoria. Heinle was there when I stopped watching, but I never liked her in the role. I still don't like her. Also, the fact that Vicky Newman has children with two out of three Glow by Jabot kids (JT and Billy)... wow... makes me wonder how that happened.. and makes me wonder when Raul will come back to give Victoria her last missing Glow by Jabot kid's baby.

Also, Billy and Phyllis getting together is yucky. Same as Billy and Victoria. Yuck! When I think about back to 90s when Billy was a kid and both Phyllis and Vicky were basically grown up and now he's having sex with both of them.. I don't like it.

Aah, there is music after all! While Phyllis was giving a statement to the reporters. But such scarce usage of music.. so unusual for US soaps.

I see that cast per episode is much smaller now. Y&R used to be special in a way that the episode would start with certain set of characters, but then during the episodes random other characters would pop up and there would be so many characters per episode. Now, it seems there is a certain set of characters and not a lot of them.

I like to see Ashley supporting Jack through this.

Phyllis and Ashley are squaring off now. I officially miss music. I don't miss it in British soaps, they have a different look and feel... but it's so strange to not hear a dramatic cue here. I do love how Ashley has trashed both Phyllis and Billy. Aaah, music finally in this Jack and Phyllis scene. Good scene with Jack firing Phyllis and then just casually walking into the board meeting.

Interesting to see Neil work for Jabot. For as I can remember, he was working at Newman. Also, I see Neil hired all his kids into the business. Although they keep mentioning a Foundation. So Neil and Winters kids are not working for Jabot? It's something else?

Also, Kristoff St John looks better than ever!

Is Cane still Jill's son? I think I read somewhere that they reversed Cane's paternity story and changed it..

I like Jill's 90s hairdo.. Makes me remember the porn opening, when Jill would pose, while throwing back her long hair.

So I also saw Thursday's episode.. it had more music, which was good.

I liked the continuation of Billy/Phyllis reveal.

I was surprised that Nikki was so nice to Phyllis. What's up with that? Also, I just can't escape the feeling that we are supposed to be feel bad for Phyllis, like she's some goody goody who made a mistake. I got the same feeling from Phyllis' conversation with Jill in the previous episode.

My favorite scene was Ashley/Billy scene. I'll take that back right away from my previous post and say that I don't actually mind Jason Thompson as Billy Abbott. I like the chemistry between Eileen and Jason.

Now, Jack and Phyllis scene I would totally adore if it was Stafford in the role. Gina is okay, but she's not Phyllis to me (not yet at least.. maybe after some time). The fall down the stairs got my interest.

I did not care about Devon and his wife (?) and Lily. Devon was always so boring to me back when I watched. I see nothing's changed in that area.
