Why do people say Jean is ripping off from Guza? She brings her own twist to her storylines. Jean has original storytelling in her blood. She is telling stories more in vein of Guza then RC. I loved the umbrella storytelling climaxing she gave us the real meat and potatoes. The possibilities are endless. I am hearing she has a May Sweeps and Sumner that we will all be riveted.

She has brought retconned trash!  Totally ripped off the far superior MC Crisis and it was truly embarrassing.  It basically was "Everybody Scream Day".  

 

Oh, and that idiot, Vicki DumbAss, is no longer over ABC Daytime.  GH's shelf life just got shorter because DumbAss was touted as an unscripted guru and should have had GH off the air by now.  She was replaced by Rebecca Campbell.

BC's bulge in those pants was the star of the episode.

And that bulge is probably what helped him get hired in the first place and is probably helping to keep his job. He feels like he's on such borrowed time. He also has to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled brat on twitter. Why does his mother girlfriend enable his behavior, but maybe she's as obnoxious? Are they still together?

They made a big deal about it. Spent the whole hour it seemed with it and nothing happened. Figures with Jean at the helm….her writing is always anticlimactic. 

It's funny how Jelly writing does mirror alot more Guza then RC. This to me was kind of like the big event metro court 2007 which was 10 years ago but GH had a much bigger budget back then. Wouldn't u say Frank Valentini production values are on the same strength as JFP?

I thought his OLTL looked better than GH has under him.  And Phelps has had a terrible production run at Y & R.  It's downright ugly compared to her work on GH.  It's just so devoid of style and its lost not only its own lush production identity but JFP's touch.  If not for Sage and Burton, you could almost imagine someone else is EP.

Completely disagree that Phelps' production run is terrible, and it isn't ugly compared to her work on GH. For one thing, the budgets are so different it's apples and oranges.

Valid criticisms of JFP? Yeah, there are. But it's ridiculous to wildly distort what we're seeing on the screen.

I think it looks the least expensive and the worst lit Y&R has ever looked.  I also think it looks the least expensive than any other soap Phelps has helmed.  I'm not saying it looks worse than Days or GH.  But I am shocked the show doesn't look better, because even on a tight budget she has traditionally be a strong visual EP.  Her last couple of years at GH you could see the budget wasn't what it was but the show, the sets, the colors and her style was still there. I just think the show looks mundane.

I didn't notice TJ. Yes, to a contrived reason for Sonny to be there. Kristina wanted it. Then Sonny naturally saved the day. It was pretty bad.
