Y&R: December 2015 Thread

Those of us who have seen CG werk it in Magic Mike already realize that she's capable of bringing on the sexy.  If these writers can't write a good romp for Mariah with a good looking lad, well, they just cannot write.

As much as I have enjoyed Sharon Case (even through some disastrously written junk), I'm still looking for proof that Mariah is her daughter because by now Mariah should've slept with not only Kevin, but Fen, possibly a visiting Daniel (who should've already visited his un-comatose mother Phyllis) and moved on to Luca by now.

The writers continue to do a disservice to Y&R's younger set.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Mariah has gone a very long time without male "companionship".  I can't remember if she had sex with Kevin but if she did it couldn't have been good because they aren't having any now and their romantic relationship is over.  If she and Luca had a few hook ups that could be a good complication to add to the story since Marissa seems to be Luca's true love  and Luca looks like a player.

I recall something re: Mariah/Kevin early on  either they had sex and it was a bust or they were about to and they didn't ring each other' bells...I recall them not wanting to say anything not to hurt each other's feelings or something like that but I don't recall anything else...

They had sex and it wasn't good at all

OK I remember now that I read your post.. LoL ....

This wedding feels so empty to me and it's hard for me to invest in it because of Abby and Stitch.

That's because it IS empty.  It's just another plot point.

I can't believe that Neil has not only gotten away with what he did, his victims are APOLOGIZING to him!  Man, UpChuck does weave a pretty twisted story.

These are the same psycho fans who refuse to allow Michael and Lauren to be apart for more than five minutes, they're part of the problem.

I agree that the guy playing Luca is good and so is Sofia Pernas. Their material was awful at first but now that this Newman story is underway I actually enjoy them. I want Luca and Mariah to start boinking too.

Exactly.  And the fans that won't let Lane die are also hurting DG and CK who need to move on to fresh material.

Luca looked mighty fine in his evening clothes today and his scenes with Marissa were great.  Loved the way he looked into her eyes and kissed her hands.  So romantic and sexy.  Standing up to Victor was also great when Victor tried to kick them out of the wedding.  Luca and Adam make a good pair, I just hope Adam isn't playing him.

I watched today but really didnt pay attention…only good thing about the show was seeing Tracy again...

Kevin is such a proverbial black hole I'm sorry Mariah has been stuck with him out of all the men on the cast.

They pack no heat.  Not even  spark.

And Lauren...It's been a while for TEB, too...

44 appearances this year, on contract. She used do up to a 100 or over when she was recurring.

I have no idea what problem Chuckie might have in writing for a character like Lauren.

If only Lauren had actually acted like Lauren in the past 11 years, he might have had more interest....

Then again, a Pratt version of the vixenish Lauren would probably be a complete nightmare. I'll say it again, those who are spared with little airtime/story are the lucky ones.

I'm glad they are starting to move Luca/Marissa into different circles. Both are very talented actors. I still think Adam is setting up Luca - Adam is committed to protecting Chelsea (and Sage) from Victor, so betraying Victor (even if he were to go to jail), doesn't free him. I'm glad they are establishing that Luca's goal is to eliminate the criminal aspect of the Santori business - they need to make him more of a 'good' guy than a thug. As far as new pairings, I completely see a Luca/Abby connection, though I'd be intrigued by snarky Mariah getting involved with him. And, how fun must it be for CG to get to deliver those unfiltered comments to everyone on the show. It's like she is the 'voice' of the audience.

NuNuNuBilly is SO going to hook-up with Phyllis - the cracks are starting to get bigger with Aunt Jack - it's about time. GT needs to get move out of the Grandpa men orbit and into the Billy/Nick/Adam/Stitch age group again. It's a total waste of GT's hotness - Plus, what was the point of 'de-aging' Phyllis, if not to pair with a younger set?

MEK/ED are intriguing screen partners. They are obviously still trying to workout the Neville character, but when MEK is engaged, he brings in all sorts of nuances beyond the written page.

Why is Pratt wasting Gina Tognoni? Awesome actress in stories that are just plain stupid. When Jelly wrote for her she got the amazing emmy nominated scenes of her scenes with Jack in the living room. It was smarttv classic stuff there

I don't want to see Luca wasted on on rude, crude, frumpy Mariah.  Let Abby or Summer get involved with him.

It is always funny how the kids seem to do a better job of talking sense into Victor, though I kind of wished they just had him remain the scrooge he is and not show up to the party just to prove everyone's point.....

I could care less but I really hope all this talk about Christian being Adam's is just speculation and he is really Nick's.....I know it never works out this way but If I were Nick I would really file some sort of restraining order against Victor once it comes out that he blackmailed Adam into helping him rebuild Newman using the possibility of Adam being the father to hurt his relationship with Chelsea....I guess it would be stupid not to think Victor planted the whole scenario to get what he wants, but it would be better if he really did believe Adam was the father and Nick proved him wrong etc....

Not surprised you call Mariah "rude, crude, and frumpy"

Even at New Year's, The Grinch must attack Camryn Grimes...She can act, unlike some ahem other young<actresses> on the show...  Did she pee in someone's CornFlakes?
