October 27, 201510 yr Member I feel like Guza really did snuff out everything GH could have been and once was. As much as I complain about Ron, he did bring some life back to the show briefly, but it's like living next door to annoying people who scream outside your door all night. Sorry, I must have missed the life he brought to the show. Ron hadn't told one complete coherent story in his entire 3 years. He simply didn't know how. HACK! His GH was garbage and hate Guza and his shortcomings all you want, but he told stories, and that is what soaps are about. He Sweeps were big and made sense. AGREED! Thank ya!

With Guza/Phelps, there would be no Miller, Stafford, Paevey, Howarth stinking up the joint. The vets were back? I remember the foolishness of Anna in bed with Luke and he walks out while she looks in disappointment like an underpaid hooker. Remember she pulled the mask off of Duke to learn that it was Faison, he was taken away and then a few minutes later, she is about to have sex with Duke on the couch? Finding out the man who tormented her was masquerading as her lover didn't deter her one bit. Robert on a ledge ready to jump because Robin is dead but skips out of town after learning he has a son that's not his? The vets were brought back? Where are they? Exactly what did they do while here? I think Guza mostly lost his way in terms of coherent stories several years before he was fired. The whole mess with Brenda's last return, all the pandering to Geary with Ethan, the Franco egomania, et al. I certainly don't think the "life" Ron brought was good, I just meant there was some, if you enjoyed that type of thing. I didn't enjoy Connie raping herself for a haha, but some fans did, and they got hype going and made sure we knew GH was now the best ever again, thanks to our saviors. None of that really happens now, so it's more of a dead show waiting to be canceled.

Exactly what did they do while here? Guza did a lot of damage killing off Alan, Emily, Tony and Georgie as Sonny, Carly and Jason{Stone Cold} Morgan ate up GH. But Guza could tell a story from beginning to end unlike Ron. As a GH viewer since 1987 the last 15 years have been hard. Ron did bring back the vets like Scotty, Lucy, Kevin, Felicia then did nothing with them. When TIIC turned away from storytelling and decided to make "celebrities" out of favs, soaps were on their death bed. However, there was still stories told even tho the focus was on a few characters. Now, Soaps are nothing but zombies trying to feed off of any viewer they can find. Unfortunately, if you are not a stan, you are SOL. Soap characters die, but Guza/Phelps determination to eliminate the Qs was heartbreaking. I hated when Alan died, but give me a story, and event like The Hostage Crisis, and I can forgive losing a fav. IMHO, The Hostage Crisis was the last great soap Sweeps event. It was spectacular! She refused to play the story of having Sonny's grandchild and demanded it be rewritten. ABC caved. When it was time to go, Marcil wanted to stay but Guza was not going to write Brenda and promptly trashed the character on her way out.
October 27, 201510 yr Member I will always like the old Brenda but hated her Guza 2010 stint. Right now unfortunately the cast is too big for her return. I rather see them focus on the core characters we have now. I think Budig is absolutely delis as Hayden. Would love to see Hayden open up a Fusion and launch a new perfume.

I need Brendumbass' return to free Carly from Scummy! She serves no other purpose! She was so full of herself with the demands and wanted the SnB relationship untarnished (wacko). Now, for the sake of mortgage payments, she will play whatever story they give her!

I love RB/Hayden on GH, and as the only fan of Fusion on earth I would love if it was resurrected here LOL Edited October 27, 201510 yr by AllMyDaysatGH
October 28, 201510 yr Member Can you just imagine what Jean a Shelly Altman will do with the Nurses' Ball?LMAO
October 28, 201510 yr Member There isn't a head writer or writing team that could do what Jean and Shelly are doing. Imagine if Gary Tomlin and Chris Whitesell were writing GH it wouldn't be as good. They chose wisely finding writers who love GH and have a history. Jean was at ATWT for 9 years as head writer her longest soap by far. Their History is from 2011 on. Thats not a history of the show. They may be vets in their industry but both are newbies at GH and am sorry I dont think newbies should be HWing GH. Where are THom Racina or Sherri Anderson
October 28, 201510 yr Can you just imagine what Jean a Shelly Altman will do with the Nurses' Ball?LMAO Ron turned the Nurses Ball into a bad Chippendales male revue. Instead of a meaningful and heartfelt fundraiser for HiV/Aids.

Instead of a meaningful and heartfelt fundraiser for HiV/Aids. Thank you. I want the nurses ball from 1993-2001 not 2013-2015. Come on ABC You can spend money a few days a year for a good cause damnit
October 28, 201510 yr Member KS was great! She was so real as the terrified mother. I LOVED her scenes with Nikki. Nikki was awesome today, It's obvious Nikki really likes her new daughter-in-law. She was so kind and supportive of Sage, mother to mother.
October 28, 201510 yr Member Was I the only one that noticed the cover of the OLTL Starr X'ed Lovers song "A Lot To Say" playing over the first Nikolas and Hayden scene when Sam walks into The Floating Rib? I thought my ears were playing a trick on me but there it was! Insane throwback. Also, Anna's new house is the AMC Chandler mansion set, yes? Edited October 28, 201510 yr by alexisfan07
