For a long time I thought the [!@#$%^&*] with Kevin and Lucy's kids was the elaborate fiction of, let's say, an overinvested Kevin and Lucy fan with a lot of time on their hands. Recently I've begun to wonder if the latest reason for putting it off (if they have again) is because they a) fell for the recurring actress playing Rosalie who surprised them and B) don't want anything to threaten the embattled Kristen Alderson, who is still almost the only single young woman in her age range left on the show.

I keep thinking about our savior calling Maxie a "heroine." And it just reminds me again that GH has no heroines. Carly is an anti-heroine and always has been. (nothing wrong with that, even if the writing sucks) So who is there? I assume we're supposed to see Kukla as a heroine. I can't think of anyone else. Liz is more of a supporting player. Maxie's idea of a good deed is keeping her legs closed.

Lulu was a cipher long before JMB left the role, but now I wonder if Lulu has even one fan. Are the DC jackals still hyping Emme Rylan or did they give up?

Jake seems VERY different from Jason,

[RC] I think what’s been so great is, if you’re gonna bring back a character that was as big and iconic

as Jason Morgan, we couldn’t just bring in another actor and say “Okay dude, put on your black t-shirt and be Stone Cold.”
It didn’t interest me as something to write, and I don’t think it would have worked. The idea was much like when AJ drove Jason into a tree
and he had a new personality. We wanted to do something similar and maybe play on the strengths of our new actor. People who say,
“Oh, he’s not acting like Jason”, that’s exactly the idea. He’s not that guy.
He’s not the guy that came out of the AJ car crash. That personality is, at the moment, gone. It’s in there somewhere.

Meh [at the interview].

Even though I don't care for BM, I just wish that they would've left Jason dead and brought him on as Sly Eckert. Then it would've tied in better with the Fluke story. They could've possibly had a cameo, which VeRONica loves, from Paul and Jenny.

Jason should've stayed dead. I could've named hundreds of characters that should've been revived before him.

I would. I just don't think RC really cares about heroines anymore. He had his big chance to reshape Lulu into his type of 'crazy' character with his ripoff of Teen Jessica from OLTL last summer, when Lulu had amnesia. The story tanked with the audience and he had to scrap it, and he lost all interest in Lulu.

Yep, he lost all interest in Lulu. Emme Rylan is OK in the role but she brings nothing special to it. I do love the Tracy/Lulu relationship and Rylan plays that well. I'll give her that. She's just boring and Lulu has NOTHING going on. Zzzz.

Miller shouldn't be AJ in my mind simply because he fits the role of Jason better, at least physically. And I'm actually liking him in the role. I'd rather have Sean Kanan as AJ if Ron decides AJ is going to be alive again. Let's be real, it's totally possible under Ron's pen. Which makes everything hard to invest in. Because nothing sticks. Even Connie doesn't stay away and that bitch is long dead.

Ron wants to write for characters he can do whatever he wants with so he doesn't have to explain their motives to disgruntled fans who call him out over it. Like Tracy and her stupidity. Or Anna and her complete lack of well, everything at the moment. He has zero idea what to do with Liz (although I think he uses her effectively).

I mean, look how much effort they're putting into Liesel and her damn love for Faison. The tears, the screaming. It's all about her. It's not Anna's story. It's Obrecht's. And how awful is that agent? God. He's so nasty towards Anna and acting like Faison is some harmless victim. I hate the writing.

Kaka is his heroine. That's clear. Even Michael, who was wronged by everyone he thought loved him, is being made to look like a jackass towards her when she deserves his ire. Maybe not as extreme as it has been (even though I love it cuz I hate Kaka) but his agenda is sooo clear.

Look at how many scenes of "poor Nina" crying we got. How much wasted airtime Julian and Silas suck up. How Alexis is a pathetic loser around Julian. Ava's only bypassing that, IMO, because Maura West is fantastic in the role. William deVry and Michael Easton are so overrated as actors. They are so snoozeworthy on this show.

And let's be real, he had zero interest in writing for Sonny and Luke and is probably only doing it because the actors have been on the show for so long and fans would flip if they left. And even then he brought on Fake Luke to write for (him and Geary I guess). Which I was happy about. Luke and Sonny need to go away. I also think Benard complained about his lack of airtime because all of a sudden it became the Sonny Corinthos hour again. But even then it was only likely because Ron was writing for Ava.

Carly had no story for the longest time and it only revolved around Franco. Sonny and Carly aren't the focus here, Franco is. He's still on-screen while they were shoved off-screen. Hello. That says it all.

He's also like a child in his writing when he doesn't get his way.

As alexisfan said, characters were cast and scenes were filmed. Probably why Lucy and Kevin went sooo long without airtime. Same for Maxie there for a while.

I'm not that upset they dropped the Christina story. And I really don't care if they bring on Serena at this point anymore. There's too many characters. Write out Molly/Kaka and then bring on Christina and Serena. Just because Kevin and Lucy and Scotty are on doesn't mean their spawn HAVE to be.

Was there confirmation that actors were actually cast as those characters and filmed scenes that were scrapped entirely? That sounds INSANE to me, just knowing what the budgets of these shows are. Also shows what a free-for-all this show must be behind-the-scenes, I guess.

I know this is RC we're talking about, and continuity isn't his thing BUT it can't be Faison, Fluke hated Tracy cause of "what she did to his sister" Faison doesn't have a sister and why would he go after Sonny who is like nothing to him anyways.

I know I'm trying to make sense out of this lol

I've never heard that sister line from Fluke , but I don't watch the show all that often.

I guess the show scrapped Christina when that story that was so terrible that actors started complaining got dropped. I've never been able to find the rumor of what the story was going to be , just that it was terrible.

I hate reading Ron interviews because even the best in this genre have had to admit mistakes or defend some bad creative choices. Even the truly delusional ones, like Corday , can admit something is a mess. But he just doubles down or whines about it. I think he has gotten worse here than he was on OLTL too. The ego has gone out if control!

    • Sheila in that Bill/Liam scene was utterly pointless and ruined the moment completely. Bell needs to cut his losses with KB, he clearly has NO idea what to do with Sheila    LMFAO
    • I liked that realism, too.  (DanaLeslie/Lulu/whoever  is still shifty enough to have paid someone to learn those details over the years, though)

date: Monday, May 12 | Sara A. Bibel, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Anthony Pascarelli Teddy Boy. Teddy Bear. DEADBEAT! Now we know where Deadbeat gets it from. Vanessa in a random two-second spotting with Deadbeat? Oh, okay then! Dana is selling herself to Nicole right now. Oh, look who it is... Anita showing up to support Dani in her demure confrontation with Deadbeat2. Mona is not playing with Eva; from "backstabbing heifer" to "girl bye", she is not playing with her. At all. Joey is fully playing Vanessa, and she's so easily falling for it. C'mon, honey, don't do that. Shanice is going to be a comfort board for Douglas when he takes her advice and helps him heal himself. Mona going off on Dana just like she deserves. Mama Dupree went off: "Handle your business!" Could Eva and Randy be potentially paired for a one-night stand? That could be an interesting twist. Damn Mona with the continued burns, this time for Dana: "Hell was made for people like you, Leslie. Enjoy the burn." Anita questioning her own decisions and instincts feels really natural and real. It's a nice change of pace from the other matriarchs we've seen established in American daytime. Now the true Dana/Ted scenes are coming out. Anita warning Eva that she'll never be a part of the Dupree family shows the claws are fully out. Teddy fully calling Dana "demented" and "psychotic" is going to cause some problems, won't it? Notes: I fully need Maurice Johnson (Ted) gone yesterday; his performances are just not selling to me. Love seeing Tamara Tunie (Anita) beginning to get her teeth into the meat of the scripts. It's about time. Karan Kendrick (Mona) delivered today!!! She's such a breath of fresh air.
    • Oh yeah Leslie is Sheila Carter levels of delulu    Damnit, Ambyr Michell you gutted me with that quivering lip
    • Damn, Anita doesn't play, that was pretty vicious.  I hope Eva gets her redemption.

I doubted the tests but i liked that htey had Nicole as a doctor mention that the test also had genetic markers that matched Teds that Leslie really wouldnt have been able to fake. I think most people thought the test only said 99.999% chance match but its more detailed than that
    • I love Jon Lindstrom on GH...  but I don't enjoy him as Joey, at all.  Joey is a dud character.   And I don't feel any Joey/Vanessa heat at all.  I can see that the actors are trying to show it but it doesn't come off as believable to me. And it's obvious that Joey is using Vanessa and doesn't care a bit about her.

    • I disagree, Jon Lindstrom is boring as hell on this show and the Joey character is not clicking.  When Anita went on and on about how she landed the ideal man in Vernon and what a saint he is - I just hoped that Vernon knocked a few other women up somewhere.
    • Jon Lindstrom has the same type of smoking hot chemistry with Lauren Buglioli that he has with Lynn Herring
